I must admit the SU 35 is a beautiful plane.
It is beautiful, and it is a wonderful target for drones snd missiles… yes I am as long gone. There is no future for Manned combat aircraft. From now on, people who were fighter pilots Will have to get dates with their charm, not because of the wings on their shoulders.

It is no more than a marginally updated SU-27 which has never been a match at all for the F-15 Eagle which has been undefeated in air to air since 1976 when she first entered service... I'll take factual records to looks any day... Catch up attempts is what russia is good at, but they never actually get there... Not since the late 50's they haven't...
Not to mention the lack of services and maintenance that comes with the product su-35.
American based companies make lower quantity products but they will assure customers with a jet that will be maintained and serviced by a specialized unit.
101 the su-35 does need to be serviced more frequently so it will have less flight time and more ground (preferably hangar) time. This is the responsibility of the crew that was selected by the ‘owner’…
Next to those costs after buying price comes the upgradable package (intended or included)
There will be a price tag on every single aspect.

Acrobatic maneuvers are for air shows only. It'll get you killed in an actual battle.
Su-35 is wanted to buy by many countries but the main reasons of little sales is CAATSA. For example, Indonesia, Egypt ordered these aircraft, but due CAATSA they had to cancel orders.
And Russia can't deliver.

The SU-27 was deadly back when it was actually being utilized correctly by the USSR and the people they funded. Post dissolution Russia has no idea how to properly utilize all the systems of the old soviet fighters. They rely on old Soviet infrastructure due for upgrades 20 years ago, and it hurts the planes in major ways. Same thing with their tanks and other aircraft, and upgrading them doesn't do much when the plane's and other machinery aren't the weakest link.

The appeal of the SU-35 is that it’s much cheaper than western jets, more rugged and has decent performance. That does come at the expense of being technically out of date. It’s a decade or two behind western jets in that regard.

Nations need high performance airframes and large twin engine air Superiority airframes like f 15 and SU 27-30-35, make sense in every way. Russia has 300 upgraded SU 27 and about 150 SU 30 and around 120 SU 35 operational. We only have about 200-250 f15s operational . In many ways the Russians have passed us in power, they have more operational fighters and bombers than the USA.

Really beautiful fighter, powerful and manoeuvrable but a bit behind in terms of technology. Egypt organised a fake fight between a Rafale and a Su-35SE where the SU was the agressor. Turned out the Rafale jammed SU35's radar with it's SPECTRA system then proceeded to track the SU and shot it down...

Maybe that's why the French Jets are on a serious roll as regards sales around the world, but without the technology in a old fashion dog fight the Mig would run rings around the French Jet, but that's not much use in today's world though.

Modern warfare has moved on from WW2 tactic's.
Against a weaker foe in a 3rd world country the su 35 /27 can beat you up all day.
But in a serious conflict like the Ukraine Russian planes have been lost in large number's as their technology is out of date getting shot down by their own missiles falling out of the sky poor maitensnce getting shot down by shoulder launched missiles.
The captured su 35 equipment was shown to be 15 to 20years old worse than f16 technology.
Russia has only small number's of these planes the west has 4'000 f16 Russia 200 to250 su 35.
Su35 can use r37m missles with a range of 400km which has a longer range then the US counterparts...

Jets don't have acrobatic 'aerial' combat anymore. They get 60 miles (120 km) away, fire missiles and leave. Building a jet for WWII dogfighting is a waste.

You won't be able to run away - the SU is faster, and you'll lose a close fight because your F22, 35 is not designed for this type of combat.
and, by the way, in terms of electronic warfare systems, Russia is in first place in the world.

Russia has better ECM and EW capacity, also has faster longer ranged airframes in su family, and also has longer ranged a2a missiles that outrange meteor by a large margin. ECM and EW will create merges of jets In combat, because most of the long range missiles will be spoofed or defeated. Then you will all realize that speed and maneuverability have always mattered and that "stealth" is a crock of shit term designed to help them continue stealing your tax dollars and giving you shit airframes that can't go mach 2 or fly above 50k ft altitude and can't dogfight w supermanueverable airframes. The USA or NATO or the west whatever term you use, absolutely does not have any technology Superiority over Russia. That's the other thing people better understand. IRBIS-E is a great radar and does what Russian doctrine needs it to do, upgrades like "snow leopard" etc are as good or better than any western airborne radar on fighters. The aircraft in paper is impressive and based on a reliable aircraft, the SU-27. However, it has not been a success in Ukraine and it's still a 4th gen aircraft without stealth or some other features found in western 5th and 4th gen aircraft, such as the networking capabilities.

@@KkevrockKyou know, modern air battles have no dogfight at all. No one cares about being that agile (since that is mostly human-capped anyways). The plane can do more than the human can withstand, so arguments about that are dumb. No side has been able to not rely on a human inside. Modern aircrafts will fight each other far before you‘d see them with your eyes. Which is why the SU57 is a 4th gen. It‘s RCS is still much bigger (about 1000x) than that of the F35. It looks good, but it should rather work

Nobody is kicking down Russia's doors for these aircraft at all. Poor countries can't afford it anymore than Russia can manufacturer more in a reasonable amount of time, as well as a supply chain for parts to maintain them. And that's not mentioning the parts required that are manufactured in the west because of sanctions. They don't seem to be holding up very well against western made air defense in Ukraine. Only a desperate military with a little money to burn would try and by the time they'd be delivered, if at all, they would even more obsolete.
The air defense system is Soviet in Ukraine... And the Patriot got downed... Ukraine just lost massive amount of air defense system yesterday... Oh well keep coping with the American propaganda, Vietnam was won anyway
@@olivieryeung398 The air defense in ukraine is a mixture of a bunch of systems. Originally they owned soviet air defense systems, but with western countries sending their equipment to Ukraine they now have a lot of difference air defense systems from the west as well as soviet systems.
No lol, Russian missiles hit all civilian and not military targets. US patriot systems along with other shot down a majority of the incoming missile. It's funny how Russian propaganda keeps saying they destroyed patriot system but than it's operational the next day. Russia fired a billion dollars worth of missiles, all they did was overwhelm the air defenses and only hit civilian targets. This attack screams of desperation and you're probably not aware of the massive missile attack launched against Russia recently for their attack. Better than US jets for 4 main reasons.
1. Cheaper.
2. More usable as it can land anywhere why for US ones landing strip can't have even a paper clip or tiniest stone.
3. Easier to upgrade.
4. Way more maneuverable.

Great choice Indonesian, I can't speak on the Rafales but those 24 F-15exs will perform great on missions protecting your country. Should have purchased some F-16 fighting falcons Block 70/74 newest version , they are highly maneuverable. Flying F-15 then F-16 is like driving a big Cadillac then hoping ino a Porsche, American pilots love it and F-16 is the most produced fighter jet ever with 4600 since 1976 , that's 47years with an average of 100 planes produced per year.
Indonesia was threatened to get sanctioned by the west if they bought Su-35 since the Ukraine broke down. It's a spare parts logistical nightmare for them because they still have a few Su-30

At the beck side where the fire comes out, is call nozzle, and normally nozzle padels (don't know what they are called) only works together, either they bloosm like flowers or closed flower, but in thrust vectoring, the padels can move freely in any direction
Thrust vectoring is when the engines nozzles move to orientate the engines thrust, I mean like as seen in the video there isn’t much to be said such as you can literally see it, but this just adds superior maneuverability and able to whip the nose around wayyy faster, good for dogfight and air shows but in bvr doesn’t mean much, it’s better to have it than not tho 😅
The thrust vectoring nozzle is the mechanism at the exhaust end of the engines that control the direction/angles of the thrust/exhaust, which very much enhances maneuvering an aircraft.

At last, it lacks an AESA radar and probably is the main reason that countries like Egypt or Algeria rejected it. It’s nice, yes, but….

Once you get it, you don't want to repeat order as hard to get spare parts and expensive to maintain. Countries prefer western weapon due to better sales support.

Honestly hands down the best fighter jet I have flown, nothing compares to it. You do not lose speed with maneuverability which is very hard to do. Hands down very impressive, versatility makes it a monster in any situation except going against a stealth. This plane is more for defense and all roles, if you going into enemy defenses then you use a stealth plane like f-35 but if you get a f-35 too close to enemy advanced radar and this fight jet Su-35 is in range of dogfighting f-35, 90% that f-35 is gone. Every fighter jet has advantages and this jet is very capable at much more broader roles

The truth is that the F-35 is not an air superiority jet, whereas the SU-35 is. It will outmanoeuvre the F-35 and get a quicker weapons lock. And the rest is history.

The f35 is an omni role fighter, it can perform all roles adequately. Nominal designations are irrelevant. The f15c is an air superiority fighter and the f35 absolutely trounces it in dog fights.
Su-35 is an extremely maneuverable & capable Gen 4 aircraft. It’s let down by its radar systems compared to F-16/18 & Rafale. In combat vs those jets it destroyed before it has a chance to dogfight. F-35 would destroy it before Su-35 even knew it was targeted.
After East Timor gain it's independence from Indonesia in 2000, USA quickly giving Indonesia a military embaro. At the time, USA never thinking that their idea on giving Indonesia an embargo would go bad for USA, because with this embargo, after stop purchasing weapon from moscow since 1968 during USSR era, Indonesia decided to normalize relationship with Russia and becoming Russia's customer in weapon industry. Indonesia buying alot of weaponry from Russia, Including Su27 and Su35.
Before the embargo, US can be said dominating south east asian weapon market. But, after the ebargo, Russian weapon sales in south east asia skyrocketed. It turns out that when indonesia buying alot of weapon from russia, all of Indonesia's neighboring countries began to studying Russian weaponry which makes them interested and also buying lots of Russian weapon. Other factor that lead to increase in sales of russian weaponry is because Indonesia are DeFacto leader of South East Asia. Because of this, south east asian countries have tendency to always following Indonesia's foreign decision.
That's why, after Indonesia getting close to Russia due to US military embaro, Russian influence also showing massive increase in south east asia. After realizing their "too late" mistake, US government decided to stop the military embargo to Indonesia in 2010.
It is too late because US had lost it's ststus as dominant weapon seller to south east asia, and Indonesia's decision to purchasing weapon from various countries had pushing US weaponry sales in south east asia to the corner due to many countries especialy Russia had become weapon seller to south east asian countries.
Before the embargo, south east asian countries litteraly have to "begging" for USA to sell their weapon to south east asian countries. Now, it is US government are the one that come and "begging" south east asian countries to buy their weapon.
Take example when Indonesia in 2020 want to modernize their fighter jet by buying lots of new fighter jets. US government trying to get close to Indonesian government and offering their newest retrofitted F16. Indonesian government refusing the offer and instead asking US government to sell them F35, in which US government also rejecting the request. Indonesia after that then pushing aside US offer and then trying to purchase France Dassault Raffale which come in smoothly and indonesia decided to buy 40 units. With the purchase of planes, indonesia also making deal with france to buy submarine and warship.
Realizing that they already making a mistake, US government then once again trying to get close to Indonesia and offering F15Ex to Indonesia, that contain some of F35 technology. This time indonesia get interested and on talk with US government about the deal. Actualy after military embargo removed in 2010, indonesia's purchase in US weaponry had fall drasticaly. Indonesia almost never buying new military equipment from US. Most of US weapon Indonesia buy or own after 2010 are the secondhand units or just firearm and consumables
Our SU 30MKM have Western electronics, radar, weapon system that Russia want to trade it back. It can launch American made Paveway or other Western missiles. It also have stealth coating but needs Russian electronic EW pods to make it invisible just like SU 57
Its a Soviet design. Its from a past age. Which is why it focuses on close combat for example, which is basically doesn't happen anymore.
It would have been great in the 80s, when it was designed.

The Su 35 also can be modified to hold Western missiles. That's why the west don't let other country (especially developing countries) buy this type of aircraft.
As an engineer, any aircraft can be modified to carry any weapon as long as weigh capacity isn't surpassed. Look at the mig 29 carrying HARMs, or the TU22 carrying Storm Shadows or Israeli F-16s carrying pythons which is close to the R-73. It's not unique to the SU35, my guy
