Of course! Sometimes people just need a friendly reminder how great the vita was ya know? I mean, I can't forget the handheld that got me on here in the first place.
Homebrew has really kept the thing alive for me, I’ve gotten deadspace, bully and gta San Andreas to work on the vita and it’s amazing. Most games that didn’t have a great fps before like spider man and borderlands now run pretty well with very few dips in fps. Plus with remapping to the back touch pad I added an L2 and R2 buttons with those things they made for remote play. Been my go to console for the past month and it only gets better as time goes on
Damn great video my friend. All extremely valid reason why the Vita is number ONE! You forgot to mention (I think) that it’s MUCH MORE PORTABLE then the Nintendo Switch!!!
no kidding, and more portable than even the switch lite as well. 219g vs 265g. Although even the vita slim is really pushing 'portable', it doesn't really feel amazing in your pocket all day, the last thing that was truely portable was psp go.
PSP games on Vita are a bless, i have PSP and Vita, but certain games i picked up on Vita again just to enjoy the bigger screen with the vibrant colors (Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles and The 3rd Birthday)
You could have found this information just by Googling it, yes it comes SoTN for me is Overrated, i prefer the DS games But i love Dracula X Chronicles because of the Rondo of Blood Remake, i love Classic Castlevania games (those who are not "Metroid Like")
Love how this handheld allows me to resume playing my PS4 games at work using the remote play feature, currently playing Persona 5 Strikers on the big screen when I'm at home and on my break at work.
Honestly, the 3DS' success shows that the issue wasn't that smartphones are eating into the market so much as Sony being unwilling to actually invest in the Vita. Heck, if Sony *really* believed that smartphone gaming was the future of handhelds, they would have started curating, expanding, and advertising the Vita's Playstation Mobile store to lure in that audience and those games instead of just shutting down that store and removing the ability to redownload mobile games that you already paid for.
@@SuperJumpReviews Honestly that's probably the main reason that they decided to stop supporting it. If they had to choose been having Sony's massive install base buy AA/AAA games whose base price could be either 40 dollars or 60 dollars, or only buy AA/AAA games whose base price was 60 dollars, they would rather do the latter no matter how many of their loyalest fans they pissed off, regardless of the fact that they could have earned more than enough money to make the Vita profitable by just getting their heads out of their asses for 5 consecutive minutes at a time. To paraphrase Jim Steph Sterling, the only amount of money that they would consider sufficient is "all of it."
The Vita is my favorite handheld console ever. It is one heck of a portable machine and is one of the reasons why I'm still hesitant to get yhe Switch. It's good to have a Vita video on your channel Andy! 😁

Amen Brother. Still got my assassins creed white vita in mint condition. Then picked up 5 other vitas in the last 5 years in case, before the prices started going up. Also stockpiled some new oem replacement oled screens. They were dirt cheap at 20$ cdn a pop. Now they are like 50$++ usd each. Now, if only i can secure a ps5....
I bought one for very cheap at my local cashies, the charging port was history and the right joystick is broken as well, i replaced the charging port with a micro usb one, and it works great, i relocated the charge port on top of the console under the flap next to the game slot, the joysticks are being shipped to me, i hope they arrive very soon, its the oled model with 3g support, so the top of the line, battery life is still nice on my model! I am happy i picked this one up, normally it belonged in the trash because when you inserted a vita charge cable, the cable got so hot and the device would glitch out . . .
I picked one up about a week ago and now it’s an emulating machine, and a great back up for all the 1000s of physical copy games I legally own *cough cough*
I was just uploading this video when I heard the news of the steam deck. If I had known earlier I would've mentioned it in the video🙂In short, I think it's a brilliant idea and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
I ve been playing the vita non stop for 2 years now and there are so many titles to play it's insane. I love jrpgs, visual novels and i love collecting physical titles for it. The steamdeck looks awesome but it's digital only and when it comes to size and battery life psvita is still the king! The switch on the other hand is using the psvita as a stepping stone by copying the game library constantly and even the hardware specs and still they can't achieve better results. The size, controls and build quality is better on the vita, menu customization, bluetooth and all this without counting in the hacking scene. Ps vita's heat management is insane for a handheld that small and powerful, heck you can even fix it yourself because of the simple build design if by some miracle something breaks. Your videos are needed more than ever for great justice and for those who are thinking of joining the ps vita family!
Why thank you for that!🙂👍The vita is indeed a neat little device. I hope you've collected all the physical vita games while you can cause they are getting pretty expensive😬
This freakin console has an awesome community and they are doing wonders, like we are getting Dreamcast emulator and it already runs both shenmue games really well, that's just crazy. Hope Sony come to their senses and make another handheld system.
I see a psvita video in 2021, I click. I love seeing anything new regarding the Psvita especially because that's proof that the vita community is very much alive.
As someone who purchased an OG Vita just this year I love it. However you definitely have to invest in a grip as I could feel the carpal tunnel set in.
I was looking at that one but I went with the black slim model black is basic and I like it like that but I know the oled is good but I wanted the improved battery life the 1gb storage built in and the micro usb cable for charging
@@foxzyx The OG Vita is way better than the slim, the slim version is trash, it feels cheap the material and the screen resolution is worse as well, it was the same with the PSP slim. Never buy the slims man, the only advantage is that they are lighter.

As a PS fan that missed the PS3(because of College, gaming on my PSP), the PS vita showed me a glimpse of what a PS3 graphically handheld console would look like in the palm of my hands.
I got the original OLED Vita back in 2012 for my birthday. It’s a great console with wasted potential, but I’ve never been a fan of the rear touchpad. I always wished the money and time that went into it was replaced with L1/R1 and L2/R2 triggers and clickable joysticks to make it like a mobile DualShock controller. Besides that, I was and still am one of the few people that prefers the exclusive AAA games on Vita or AAA PSP/PS2/PS1 games vs indies or Japanese ones. I actually just finally beat Assassin’s Creed Liberation a few days ago and am currently trying to collect all treasures on Uncharted while prestiging on Blops Declassified. I’m also waiting for the LBP servers to come back 😂
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the backtouch either. I can only think of one game that actually utilizes it. I would've love L2/R2 triggers instead. Would've made remote play a lot more viable. Have collecting the treasures in Uncharted. That game was so much fun!
I plan on getting a vita soon, at the moment I still use my 3ds for portable games, even more than the switch, so we'll have to see if I use the vita more
Got mine a few years ago. Only paid 100 plus tax for OLED model with a 16GB Card and game, with case. The pawn shop had two and looking back I so wish I'd bought both. Dang it.
I still love my red PSVita since the day I got it. But right now, I don't want to neglect my PSP. I will be getting more games for the Vita next time when it's okay to travel again.
good video, got myself on holidays into my vita again haha totally forgot about it - it is actually a very decent console and I decided to buy some more gams, but those prices, wow.
I know, prices are getting out of hand. A few years ago would've been the perfect time to collect for it. Games were dirt cheap back then. Nowadays......😬

The fact that you can play your PS4 games on your Vita with remote play is mind blowing, just did this recently on vacation in a completely different state, still impresses. If Sony was smart they would re-invest in everything Vita instead of just letting it die a slow and undeserved death.
Had the PS Vita from day one. I was so upset, because the memory cards were so expensive and I was young and had no money. After all these years the PS Vita was just a dust catcher until I discovered the mod-abilty. So I hacked my Vita and also got GTA:SA, Half-Life and Max Pain to running. And don't forget about the Emulators, so many good games and all PSP games are running on the Vita. It's just perfect!
Yeah, I remember getting the vita at first. I didn't get it the first year it was out, I think it might've been going into the second year but by that time the writing was already on the wall. A few new games were set to come out but I had a feeling Sony was getting ready to drop it😞I do remember trying on the online beta for Killzone Mercenary though hehe. That was awesome. And yes, those damn memory cards were so goddamn expensive. They still are. I could only afford the 15gb one.

@@SuperJumpReviews decided to go with the 2000, mainly because I didn't want to deal with a proprietary charger haha, the oled looks so nice though, but also wanted the neon orange cause it looks so clean! I've been watching you for a while now to prepare for my vita arrival lol, I enjoy your content!
Welcome to the club son!
Still playing Killzone, Minecraft, Metal Gear Solid HD and Persona 4, brilliant little handheld.
I play Killzone, Persona 4 golden, helldivers and Resistance: Burning Skies. Resistance is not liked by many but I am playing through it and I give it 7.5/10.
Metal Gear looked so good on the vita! Runs better than the 3DS version.
@@SuperJumpReviews I played the demo when I had my 3DS, didn’t like it much tbh.

As always you do the Vita justice. Thanks for this video I really needed to be reminded of this gem
Been my go to console for the past month and it only gets better as time goes on
Heading on a train trip today, fully charged vita slim with full case of games and good headphones 👌
Cool ! Enjoy your gaming and vacation !
1:48 what game is that?
Muramasa Rebirth
Damn great video my friend. All extremely valid reason why the Vita is number ONE! You forgot to mention (I think) that it’s MUCH MORE PORTABLE then the Nintendo Switch!!!
ahhhh you're right! damn, I can't believe I forgot that one😬
no kidding, and more portable than even the switch lite as well. 219g vs 265g. Although even the vita slim is really pushing 'portable', it doesn't really feel amazing in your pocket all day, the last thing that was truely portable was psp go.
PSP games on Vita are a bless, i have PSP and Vita, but certain games i picked up on Vita again just to enjoy the bigger screen with the vibrant colors
(Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles and The 3rd Birthday)
Does Castlevania dracula x chronicles come with symphony of the night?
The god of war psp games look amazing on the vita as well. Less to no screen tearing issues either like it was on the psp👌
@@lesterbronson2385 yes it does but you have to unlock it, so buying the ps1 version is not a bad idea either
You could have found this information just by Googling it, yes it comes
SoTN for me is Overrated, i prefer the DS games
But i love Dracula X Chronicles because of the Rondo of Blood Remake, i love Classic Castlevania games (those who are not "Metroid Like")
Still haven't started The 3rd Birthday yet. I'll get to it eventually lol
All time favorite Vita games are MGS2-3, Peace walker, P4 Golden. Even though they are on other platforms...on the toilet
MGS2 all day!
@@SuperJumpReviews I still love replaying MGS3 just for the theme song
I had to go find the vocals only of Snake Eater just to hear the ladder
Same. MGS2 was one of the first video games I ever played in my life, so to have it on Vita was a dream come true.
Seriously one of the most underrated channels in UA-cam
Thanks Hector!👍That means a lot.
Love how this handheld allows me to resume playing my PS4 games at work using the remote play feature, currently playing Persona 5 Strikers on the big screen when I'm at home and on my break at work.
dude, that is so sweet. How's the connection for you?
Remote play is a little hit or miss for a lot of people.
oh you included Ys 8. that made me happy. thanks! people need to play this gem.
I think also the fact that they had the PS4 to take care of. They had to make a decision between the two and sadly they chose PS4😞
Thanks John! It does feel good to throw out a vita video every now and then you know? Reminds me of how I got here in the first place🙂Always good to hear from you to man👍
I feel the same way instead of buying a switch i bought a second hatsune miku vita. It might look like an overkill but i just love the damn thing
I have both, I still brings my vita whenever I'm on a travel instead of my switch.
@@hellaseurope2012 I had a black slim vita stolen a few years ago. Just bought a new phat silver model and a blue slim. And you know what? I'm gonna buy the soul sacrifice phat, blue phat, a black phat, and the silver metal slime slim, and maybe one other limited edition slim. The hatsune miku one I think.
Why buy so many? Because the vita kicks ass
Maybe just buy all the colors so I can coordinate my vita with my clothes....
Am I the only one who wants a vita and not mod it? I have wanted a vita since it came out in like 2011/12 but I could never afford it but I would live to get my hands on one and just play these great games while waiting for calls
They're finally realizing it's potential.
Yeah finally after it’s no longer supported😞
Superjump reviews ps vita content is not forgotten 🔥🔥 nice video keep it up
Ive been buying psp psone and vita games like crazy lately. I dont even touch my ps4 anymore. Soo many great classics for soo cheap.
You are the man, man. You and Sandeep (2old4gaming) both convinced me to get a Vita again about two years ago. Never looked back. Feel like Sony owes you guys for your work haha. With the handheld market booming, wish Sony would rub their corporate hands together and whip up some magic, but I’m sure they’re just gonna focus on the PS5. Keep doing what you do, will continue to support you and watch your content, whatever it is! Hope all is well.
Thank Lester! I hope the new Switch and upcoming Steam Deck convinces Sony there is still a market for handheld gaming. Thanks for the support!👍
I wish PlayStation announced a new portable console I still love my psp and ps vita.
yeah hope so i will pre order
they announce stopping making handheld and games for psvita
Yup, I've gotten corrupted memory cards. Never had fucking drift

*Hopefully we get Tomb Raider Angel of Darkness, Tomb Raider Legend PS2 port and Tony Hawk PS2 collections aswell as Splinter Cell collections. Like Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, Splinter Cell Double Agent bundled with collections would be amazing*
*And hopefully all the Medal of Honor PS2 collections and Call of Duty PS2 collections. Tekken Collections, Soul Caliber, Crash Bandicoot Wrath of Cortex. And many more PS2 games i want on Ps Vita!*
Just bought a vita a few weeks ago. Love it.
It was absolutely moronic to make the memory cards cost so much.
Well it was to curb piracy. How successful was that?!
Me after admiring the Vita for 10 years and finally getting one this year long after Sony pulled the trigger. "For those of you just getting into the console now, we could have used your help sooner". LMAO that hit so hard I really wish I showed Sony my support of the system when it was still relevant. I love my 3DS but the Vita is fastly becoming my favorite handheld.
Well, I mean I guess it's better late than never but damn, we really could've used your help in 2012 haha. Enjoy that Vita👍
Great video, the vita has become my favorite portable console. I use it mainly for PS1 emulation and the screen is so beautiful. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater never looked so good!
I'm definitely keeping it to give to my future son or daughter.
Well I've had my switch lite for 1 year now and I haven't experienced a drift. Hope it stays that way.
fingers crossed🤞
Same.
Yea Iv had my regular switch for about the same time and I notice on games like smash brothers ultimate some inputs don't register sometimes or there is a delay. But its not noticable on any other game. Also no drift has happened so i guess I'm lucky
It's a good day when you upload a video bro 👍
It's also a Friday!! Double whammy👍
I bought mine years ago. Zero regrets.
I wish I could have gotten back into the PS Vita sooner. Once I am done with school for the fall semester I plan on trying to get the online trophies for some multiplayer games.
I managed to get the online trophies for Killzone Mercenary, MotorStorm RC, and Unit 13 before school started for me earlier in the fall.
Sounds like a plan. When does fall semester end for you?
Currently own two PSVitas. Sadly, not my launch system but still enjoy playing on the Vita.
Vita was ahead of its time. If it was released now, instead of years ago, it would be a huuuuge success.
I don't think so
This guy is the biggest playstation fan I've ever seen
🙂
Awesome video SJR. The PSVita is sorely missed but not forgotten tho. I am wondering if some of the PSVita Exclusives should goto the Switch.
Thanks Johno. I mean when you think about so many ps vita games are starting to come over to the switch. Maybe not exclusives but a lot of 3rd party ones. Ninja Gaiden Collection, Hotline Miami, FFX-HD Remaster, Oddworld, I think there's a Danganronpa coming out for the switch as well.
@@SuperJumpReviews yh defo there is a ton heading too the Switch now for sure you are right man. Would be cool too see some Exclusives heading too the Switch tho.
C'mon man, did you REALLY just take credit for both Nintendo adding an OLED screen to the new switch as well as Sony reversing their decision to close the Vita store??
😂😂😂
what's a vita?
I got five vitas. Two are on custom firmware, two for playing games that I think worth of buying, and 1 for playing Japanese imported game only.
@The tricky tick Japanese imports have some nice exclusives(phantasy star nova, zanke zero...) and also physically much cheaper. Don't want to use pkgj all the time. And don't want to stop the games and swap the card, so dedicate to one is needed. Ha
I bought it in 2018 and damn... I love this little boy.. girl.. I don't knowww
It's a girl😂
When I started back in 2012 as a Ps Vita fan I had only 22 games and loved them all still a fan of the handheld system today and forever right now I have 87 games total and my collection will keep going til i get the last game for my collection
That’s awesome. I’m glad I bought all the games I wanted when they were cheap and available. Now they’re crazy expensive.
@@SuperJumpReviews yes agree that's why I buy most them in the stores when I can sometimes they are cheaper at retro stores than online eBay and Amazon they are to expensive alot of the games that are rare are most likely to be bought online but I'm happy to see alot of fans still reach out to keep Playstation Vita alive I absolutely love the handheld Sony makes incredibly good systems
I have a vita to keep legit for trophy hunting and i managed to find a sealed vita tv bundle on ebay last year that I want to do all the homebrew to. Excellent little handheld and I've loved my time with it.
ohhhh , hang on to that ps tv. That thing is worth a fortune.
I’m getting a vita in 2 weeks, soul sacrifice premium edition
Nice! Is it the original OLED or slim?
What are your thoughts on steams new handheld device?
I was just uploading this video when I heard the news of the steam deck. If I had known earlier I would've mentioned it in the video🙂In short, I think it's a brilliant idea and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
@@SuperJumpReviews maybe do a video on your thoughts!
@@SuperJumpReviews still on the hunt :D

I love seeing anything new regarding the Psvita especially because that's proof that the vita community is very much alive.
As someone who purchased an OG Vita just this year I love it. However you definitely have to invest in a grip as I could feel the carpal tunnel set in.
Totally agree

haha, I'm guessing you went with the aqua slim 2000?
I was looking at that one but I went with the black slim model black is basic and I like it like that but I know the oled is good but I wanted the improved battery life the 1gb storage built in and the micro usb cable for charging
@@foxzyx The OG Vita is way better than the slim, the slim version is trash, it feels cheap the material and the screen resolution is worse as well, it was the same with the PSP slim. Never buy the slims man, the only advantage is that they are lighter.
@@Someone_KhabibbeatsJonesEASILY it dosent use Sony’s charger cable it used micro usb and it comes with 1gb built in the battery life is better it’s lighter the only thing that’s different really is the screen it feels fine to me so i don’t really care

Can't forget the fans that got me here right?
I mean...if you're a JRPG fanatic, yeah. Otherwise, it's either the PSP or the Switch for me.
Yeah, definitely! Vita is a JRPG machine👊
Eh, it's also amazing for fighting games, metroidvanias, rhythm games, visual novels, and beat em ups, at least.

As one of the people who got the vita at launch and now has 18 of them, I'm not selling most of them. Also, most of them have been modded and I'm playing an English patched version of Uppers right now!
The fact that you can play your PS4 games on your Vita with remote play is mind blowing, just did this recently on vacation in a completely different state, still impresses. If Sony was smart they would re-invest in everything Vita instead of just letting it die a slow and undeserved death.
Can you play Ghost of Tsushima that way?
Just hacked my vita and damn, so much you can do
