Ok, I learned this from a friend. I now put some of my homemade jam in my hot cereal in the mornings. Oatmeal, cream of wheat, buckwheat- they’re all good with jam. No sugar or even butter needed. Yum!
OMG; this sounds delicious! I make jalapeño jelly every year and a few years ago I started adding scotch bonnets to some of my fruit jams - raspberry scotch bonnet is a favorite. Never thought about using dehydrated powders, though!
I’m just loving all of these Canuary videos!! Every day I can’t wait to see what the next one will be. I’ve just this past year started pressure canning thanks to all of you talented ladies giving me the courage with detailed step by step instructions. I need to go ahead and do a water bath canning session for practice and this looks like a great recipe to try.
I love a chunky jam! I grew up with my grandma's freezer jam that was always chunky. I can't wait to start using the Pamona's (trying to use up all the other stuff I have first). I'm adding this recipe to my list!
This sounds so yummy! And the sound of lids popping is wonderful! Last weekend I made some pumpkin butter in my jar lids all popped so fast it almost sounded like popcorn! It was so cool.
I absolutely love blueberries too! We pick them here in Oregon in the summer! We always get a lot too and freeze them! I don’t know why, but never thought to make jam with them, and this recipe looks delicious! We get up really early in the morning too, every time we go picking for fruit! I have taken my kids blueberry picking since they were little! We also like to make blueberry milkshakes and add brown sugar in them, absolutely delicious!
This recipe looks so delicious. I’m planning on making this jam. I will be trying your recommendation of Pomona pectin too. I like that this pectin lasts and you don’t need a lot of sugar. So glad you shared this canning recipe with us. It turned out beautiful. Thanks Leisa sharing your recipe.
This sounds really good. I love blueberrys and I love jalapenos and I can see me trying this combo. I al totally loving Canuary this year and will be sad to see it end. Too bad we can't have an entire year of daily canning videos.
Now we need a Canuarians t-shirt lol. Anyway, what most people don't realize about Michigan blueberries is that MANY different varieties are grown that you never, ever see in stores. Some years ago when I timed my visit to family *just right* lol, I convinced them to go to the U-Pick with me and then carefully filled my carry-on luggage with blueberries to bring back to Arizona. True story! Will definitely try this jam... thanks so much for the inspiration!!! 😊💖🫐
I'd be a canYuarian .... but we are in the torments of an impending relocation. Landlord is rebuilding so we have to move. Best option so far is living with relatives with limited space. We already have a prep. This is going to be a challenge. My mother in law talked about making jam today, so I may sneak in a batch before we have to move! Much love

OMG thank you! I have tons of jam-why didn’t I think of that🤦🏻♀️
That's an amazing idea!! I've always done this with cottage cheese but I'll have to try with my oatmeal and cream of wheat!
