I was freezing my ass off in a mid October hunt. 50 degrees outside and I knew I shouldn’t be cold. Googled “Best hunting clothes” while sitting in the stand. Sitka was top on the list, so I started watching videos when I got home. Ordered a fanatic hoodie just to try it out. I’m now about $2,500 deep into Sitka gear, and have my eyes on about another $1,500 lol. As someone that wore Walmart and gander mountain gear for almost 20 years, I can’t say enough how well worth the investment has been.
Awesome feedback! Glad you’re liking the gear! It’s hard not to have something in the cart at all times, Sitka is a slippery slope. Good luck this season!
Was also in the same boat. Last Wisconsin firearm season where it was 10 and colder with windchill, all day sits were brutal in a hang on. Made it through but not comfortable. Made the expense and bought all new cold weather sitka gear from top to bottom. Love it
Got tired of freezing also. So I bought the Fanatic hoody , Stratus jacket and bibs .Best investment of my life! Like the fact that the hood can come off the jacket , Staying warmer and sitting longer, definitely made a difference for me.
Bought about $1250 before season started. Been impressed with what I've used. So yesterday, I ordered another $1300 worth. I have been a big Kuiu guy the past couple years. But it is more for on the move hunting. I sit for full days at the base of a mountain. Needed something a little warmer. I think Sitka has got the whitetail and duck communities locked down. Good luck!
I’m recently starting buying hunting clothes. For years I’ve always reused my old fatigues from my army days. I have some Kings camo and a couple pairs of the XKG Preacher pants 2.0 and a pair of Sitka mountain pants in optifade open country pattern. Everything I have got I found on clearance or on a very good sale. Still piecing everything together but it’s expensive. I hope it works and lasts as long as my BSU’s did but I doubt it. I have used it some and so far so good. As long as I don’t get cold. I will be fine
As primarily a bow hunter, the fanatic system is well worth the investment from the jacket, bibs, hoody, neck gaiter and fanatic beanie. Super warm and meticulously thought out. I even went as far as the fanatic backpack very quiet perfect for hauling up the stand. You definitely will not be disappointed. My next step will be the stratus, just torn between bibs and pants. Best of luck.
SITKA SAVED MY LIFE. My treestand ladderstick broke last year and I fell 20ft breaking pelvis in 2 places, broke back in 3 places, and broke my right arm in half at the elbow. Wind chill was in the teens and I had on the fanatic series bibs and jacket, fanatic hoody and a light weight thermal. I was on the ground for a long time literally laying on a brick of ice. Had it not been for the Fanatic System I'm pretty sure the outcome would have been catastrophic for me. Sitka is totally worth the money and it saved my life. Yes, it all got cut off of me however its since been replaced. You have to expect the unexpected and glad Sitka had my back.
I have every thing that u displayed in this video. Ive been hunting in Sitka for several years and it’s definitely worth its weight in gold!!! I have some much Sitka Whitetail Elevated, that now I’m working on my Subalpine setups. U definitely made a sound investment. Some will say it’s too expensive but my respond is: “I like what I like”.
That’s awesome! We are very excited about all our Sitka gear. We all invested in some Sitka this year and so far it has been great! Good hunting gear isn’t cheap but you get what you pay for!
I bought Sitka gear for work, which requires me to do a fair amount of trekking across varied terrain and in all weather conditions. The quality kept me coming back for more.
I left off the fanatic bibs, the midi pants under stratus bibs is plenty warm. I have everything but the rain gear and love it, it is built for specific purposes
That’s great to hear you love the gear, I’m pretty pumped to give it all a try! I’ve heard from many people it’s the best they’ve ever worn in the field, thanks for the feedback, good luck this season!
Ty for this Review After just getting the Core lightweight Top, Core Merino 220 bottoms, Fanatic Hoodie,Ambient Jacket, Equinox pants, Stratus Jacket, Stratus Bibs, Neck Gator, Fanatic Gloves, Stratus Beanie, Bino Harness and Tool Bucket I’m feeling better😂
I have everything you have and it is a big investment. Hunting in Wisconsin can be cold and windy and I never get cold in my Sitka gear. Got sick of wearing tons of layers and getting down early because I was freezing. If you only hunt a couple times a year probably not worth it but if you hunt a lot it totally is.
That’s great feedback, thanks for the response! I am very excited to field test it all, as we all hunt a ton during season and in all types of weather conditions, I am hoping it’s the last gear I have to buy for a while. Good luck to you this upcoming season!
Sweet! Send over the feedback after you try it all out, I’m hoping for some colder temps or a cold front soon! Over the summer heat haha, good luck this season!
@@drawnoutdoorstvI’m back after last season to give my 2 cents worth lol. Worth the money bro! The Fanantic is MONEY! I like all of my gear but wore my Fanantic in 50 and below and adjusted my top layers if the temps rose during the day. My favorite piece is the ambient hoody 🤙🏻
@@EasternWild no doubt!!! Thanks for coming back with more input we love ours also and it definitely is worth every penny you got that right! Good luck this season!!
I hunted with Cabelas gear for 20 years and was never comfortable. For the last 3 years it's only been Sitka for me. I've never been more comfortable and warm. It's expensive but worth it if you hunt three and a half months of archery in the midwest. Started buying my 76 year old dad Sitka gear, and he raves about it. You did well buying what you did.
Definitely the best on the market!! I have Stratus & Traverse coat & pants love it. My favorite piece, Fanatic pullover is my work horse have it on every time I go hunting!! Definitely well worth it’s money!
Love the feedback, great info! I think the Fanatic gear will be my go to also here in Nebraska, glad I made the investment. Thanks for watching and Good luck this season!
I didn't go as far off the deep end as you, but I've been using Sitka for whitetail hunting for the past three years. I bought the Stratus bibs, Stratus jacket, Fanatic hoodie, Fanatic vest, core lightweight baselayers, and Fanatic gloves. As an adult-onset hunter, I saw the money as an investment in being comfortable outdoors, I wanted to make sure that if I come home empty-handed it was my fault and not my gear.
i finally unpgraded to sitka this year. i just bought one piece at a time once a week and got the stratus and fanatic set up. fanatic glives. and i got the traverse for early season.
Nice!! I got some traverse also for early season to try, seems so comfortable already. Once they get ya it’s tough to stop buying Sitka gear haha. Good luck this season!
I have the bibs, yes worth every penny Just ordered the fanatic jacket, gloves, neck gaiter, and two other pieces. Expensive yes, but worth it. From iowa
That’s awesome! Yeah it is expensive but so far it is very worth it. Looking forward to using it the rest of the season in your neighbor state Nebraska.
I have the merino heavyweight tee, heavyweight bottom, fanatic hoodie, traverse jacket, ambient jacket, equinox midi pant, stratus vest in elevated-ii and orange, fanatic jacket and bibs, stratus gloves, incinerator gloves, fanatic beanie and the alphaburly sitka boots. Yes it's an investment but it's worth it especially cold Wisconsin firearm/late season. Best switch I ever made and don't have to have 10 layers for an all day sit where you get sweated up, cold and can't move.
That’s awesome! Yes we were all tired of layering really heavy and then still being cold. We decided it was finally time to invest in some good hunting gear and we believe it is definitely worth it!!
You certainly could use the elevated 2 pattern for turkey. However, they call it elevated because it is meant more for being up in the air like in tree stands. But they do have some good turkey hunting pieces in the elevated pattern
I have mixed feelings about my Sitka gear. It feels high quality but I honestly don't think it's any warmer than my Cabela's dry plus whitetail gear and it is SUPER noisy when it gets cold. My top layers consist of merino 330, ambient jacket, duck oven jacket, and the incinerator jacket... My lower layers are the 330 merino, equinox midi pant, and incinerator bibs. I also have the neck gator and mask but skipped the gloves because they all seemed to be pretty crappy. With all of those layers on, I still freeze hunting MN winters. Would I buy Sitka again? Absolutely not. I would buy Cabelas winter gear and just use Pnuma heated base layers under it. The incinerator jacket is about as warm as my 50 dollar menards jacket but chose it over the fanatic just for the waterproofing. All and all the only piece of Sitka gear that I love is the duck oven jacket. That jacket is probably the warmest jacket I have ever worn. Save your money and don't believe the hype about the Sitka technology.
Shit! I’m got well over $15k invested in Sitka 😂. Between my EV1 and all my EV2 and Sub Alpine gear. I’ve been wearing SITKA since 2008. Best gear out there. The only people that bash it are people that don’t own it. Never met a person that owns a piece and says they hate it
When women buy an expensive purse they get this beautiful packaging and box. It would be nice if Sitka could do a little better with that, jeez Louise.
Yeah you would think it would come in some sort of better box or packaging. I suppose they figure it’s hunting gear and it’s gonna get used and abused anyway.
Ya the price points are definitely the highest you can get, my wife knew about the order so I shouldn’t get in too much trouble, but it was a tough hit to the account, I’m very excited to try it out and I’ll let you know if it’s worth the price. Thanks for watching and good luck to you also this season!
