So basically Ready Player One meets The Matrix meets Transcendence meets Cyberpunk meets Netflix on steroids meets Avatar meets Sword Art Online with a side of Lucy and Inception? I dig it😎

You’d pretty much control the entire world in these vr worlds. Anything you want, you would get. You’d make the rules, you’d control the laws of physics, anything you feel or desire, you could have in these worlds and it would all seem real. Very tempting-I think most people, probably even myself, might prefer this over the real world.

Yes, but human reality is just like VR. We are creating ourselves outside ourselves for our inner selves.

This is definitely one future aspect I anticipate. It would practically eliminate boredom forever. It doesn't just improve the gaming world however. Other applications such as telecommunication, healthcare and education will advance by leaps and bounds. There's so much you can learn and experience without ever leaving your living room. The sooner we master this tech, the better.
P.s. love that you have some of your old music back. I also like your new sample @ 15.15
Just a recommendation to bring back some other old samples, such as your trademark music at the start of almost every video. Also the one in the 'tech in 2200' vid at the part where you mentioned holodeck technology.

We should be careful of eliminating boredom completely since it is often a space that the mind uses to be creative and process information. That being said, VR can be amazing for education, quality of life, life changing experiences, and even fitness.

Honestly, i think this is a technology we should only implement once we have figured out a way to sustain humanity forever. Our current system demands that we trade money/value for supplies and basic needs. If basic needs can be fulfilled forever then adding endless entertainment on top of it should be a breeze.

I was anxiously awaiting this! So many of these points resonate within me, that I can't comment on them all at present! Suffice it to say; I am aware of the dangers, and forearmed, I'm ready for my first full immersion! I may be an older person now, but I won't be in the V.R. world. Thank you as always, my friend! Continue to pursue you rvision, and we shall follow!

Hello, I'm from Brazil. Your channel is amazing, and I get excited thinking about the possibilities of our near future. As a personal opinion, I believe we live in a hologram for sure; in truth, we are energy that, due to the limitations of our 5 know senses, we perceive as matter. Our programming is in our AND.

The advancement of VR technology is incredibly rapid! In the past, the technology sucked, but now it seems like VR is here to stay. The transition from Meta Quest 2 to Meta Quest 3 is a significant leap forward. Just imagine what this technology will be like in 10 years. We can expect smaller headsets with even more power and functionality. We already have hologram-like experiences with pass-through technology. I have personally tried the Meta Horizons VR world, and while it's not ground-breaking yet, it will undoubtedly evolve into an impressive and captivating platform that will capture everyone's attention.

I personally can't wait for Full Dive Technology and Uploading my brain to a server so I can live out my life playing as characters in Anime or video games. I am biased of course since I am permanently disabled because of Bone Cancer. So I hate my life and I am in pain 24/7 so I want to die most days. But my reason for staying alive is the hope of uploading or something like that. So I can finally be pain free once again. Of course nanotechnology would be welcomed as well as it could heal me. But having a way to play my favorite characters in Anime or Games would be the ideal. This would help fix the population as well. Because I would not need anything but power which can be from green energy and a server. No food. No house. Nothing. I can also work as well within the server.
On the idea of loading events into politicians like war, poverty, etc. I am all for that. Before you become a politician you should have certain things uploaded into your brain. This way politicians have to learn how others feel before they do something horrible.
The servers would have to be not just on earth but also on the moon and Mars. So if something happened there are backups. We would finally have an afterlife. Everyone would be given the right to an afterlife. However you work in the afterlife as well. It would not be hard work but it would help society. Robots would maintain the servers and eventually we will build massive spaceships that would have server backups on them. Someone who is uploaded can download into a robot and fix whatever. So that would be some type of job most would do to maintain their after life full of fun.

Unfortunately, that's not how "uploading" works. When a video is uploaded to this channel, it isn't like it disappears from the uploader's computer. A copy is created at the destination. By the time VR becomes indistinguishable from reality, though, we'll likely either have a cure to any kind of cancer or be able to over-ride the pain signals your cancer is causing your body to send to your brain.

I love using VR every day. But the possibilities aren't 'limitless' because they are limited by our physiological constraints. For example, exhaustion of energy, fragility in impacts, need for water and food and sleep, etc. Most significant is, we and all our successors will still be constrained by the inescapable relativity of happiness and suffering. Each defines the other by comparisons. And we also will never escape competitive conflicts of interests, between whatever beings exist within influence of each other. =)
But, the future will probably often seem much better than now. =)

    • @bravo90_
      @bravo90_ 3 місяці тому +1

Those limitations will be gone the future we will the able to directly manipulate our brain. So we can control how we feel. With the need for energy we can go multiple days without food but water thats like 30 seconds of disconnect. I feel like that so tiny that its not even noticeable. Again the ability to control your emotions and mind remove all the constraints of what it means to be humans. This in fact will bring up ethical questions. What does it mean to be human? Because we wont have our limitations anymore.

As soon as people talk about intelligent robots, some people start worrying about losing their jobs.
I agree with one scientist's idea that all humans should lose their jobs.
The rise of robots will initially cause unemployment problems.
However, if robots eventually come to supply all of the daily necessities that humans need, unemployment will no longer be a problem because no one will be unable to make a living even if they lose their job.

Once the virtual world becomes more entertaining, diverse, more desirable, we could destroy our society if we aren't careful. Our sense of reality would become destroyed, and we'd essentially have no reason to live real lives. Bam. Dystopia. So we need to be very careful how we move forward with this sort of thing. Much better to slot it into our sleep patterns for an hour or two each night, where you can meet up with friends in a synced dream to do anything you want. I like that idea, since it doesn't mess up normal daytime stuff. Everyone's wished they could have multiplayer dreams at some point, and advanced tech could make this possible. Imagine the things we'd be able to accomplish in this incredibly advanced state of consciousness! Could be a perfectly normal thing after long enough.

I will say to continue on the "nanobots" there is a US government program from DARPA that is researching nano machines for the BCI (Brain computer interface) and how that is now public and has quite a bit of money/ research put into it.
So nanobots that control the brain are theoretically possible and more than likely will or has already happened.

this is VERY close, maybe a decade. ASI speeding up inventions and testing them in simulations (hell, even without the simulations) will speed up progress technologically ten, hundred, or thousandfold. not to mention we are already seeing BCI's without the help of AI (as far as inventions go) with neuralink, that can already telepathically communicate with computers, and as of recent, allow patients blind from BIRTH be able to see. This tech combined with ASI and funding will make FDVR a thing of the present

Any kind of reality other than this one is a hard pass for me. Might have taken the bait when I was 18, but not now. Everything sounds boring and a lot more work than I am willing to do. I already lived all the luves I wanted and traveled all the places I ever wanted in my head. Your imagination is capable of a lot of things if you develop it. You can smell and taste and feel everything in your imagination. I can't think of anything worse than being forever stuck in the same environment with the same people. So, hard NO on virtual afterlife. That would be the definition of hell for me. I'll take a new body and the new realm with new rules any time over anything people can offer. The reason I will never support reincarnation, I never want to live another life here! Bring on the new!!!
