Great video! I went to the silent pool many moons ago, I remember a feeling of great peace there. My dear dad played cricket on Shamley Green. Happy days.
Thanks Marq, great video and fascinating and lovely places. You do produce some gems and I've no idea why you don't have many more subs than you have! Take care mate.
All these places you name are so familiar, I need to get a map out and locate where they sit with each other. I painted that church in Albury back in 1990. Love the temple. The suggestion of its presence is so subtle. I find that remarkable. Thanks for showing me more of my country!
Great video marq I was born and bred in Surrey lived there for 35 years before moving to north Devon, last time I went to visit the silent pool I must of been in my twenties, I was watching one of your videos on box hill i use to mountain bike there a lot, I lived at Frenches Rd so I use to ride to gatton bottom and ride through the school up to the top of Reigate hill to the cafe and then on to box hill. Hopefully this year I want to come back and visit been many years, thanks for your great videos always cheers me up. 👍
I’m glad you revisited the area as I am a newbie and haven’t seen your past videos. I have never heard of the Spring - very interesting. I like visiting churches - think I’m just plain nosey. Fascinating detail about Sir Christopher Wren’s tutor- he was there 50 yrs! Please visit Runnymede - we used to visit North Surrey a lot so I am sure I will remember it. Thanks.
Lovely video Marq. What a pretty church and good to know it's being cared for. Strange dome type spire . Saxon churches tended to have tall pointed spires. Back to that Silent Pond..... You said it was fed by a spring. Was that the water from the spring gushing out of the two pipes in the bank.
Used to love visiting Pevensey and Ashdown Forest. Battle (and Battle Abbey) as well. Miss going to those places but spoilt for choice up here in County Durham (today went to haunted Blanchland Abbey). Thanks for another great video.
Thanks Marq shame you couldn't get to the head of the Silent Pool spring ...🤔🙁 but Albury church of Peter and Paul ....wow !!I picked up it's energy through your film... !!..Tutor to Christopher Wren !!! So a masonic /esoteric past ....its on my go to list now for when I next come up that way ....thanks .. .PS ...I always keep a dowsing rod in car ...ready if I need 😊👍🐉🌟
Hi Marq I came across your page as yesterday myself my mum and sisters visited the Saxon church it was cold outside but not as cold inside the beautiful church where you said your head felt heavy was were I found the temperature dropped even more and also we heard what sounded like cry’s of a lady there wasn’t anyone else about so I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this I also visited this church ten years ago and felt so drawn to go back and visit it’s beautiful surroundings and old history is stunning ten years ago it also felt like there was a presence please go back with your rods
Have you visited the Vyne near Basingstoke? Warminghurst church is also in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust too. Another very special church.
The Shire is in the West Midlands. J R..R Tolkien narrates the hobbits themselves with that accent. I even go so far as saying it is near the Teddesley Hall Estate where he lived nest to Stafford ans the Hopperton Caves dwelling turn of the century beauty spot. I have visited Teddesley estate as my family are from there including my ancestor Sam the gardener who lived in the same cottage..
Silent Pool is very full of weed at the moment isn’t it? Might give the gin an interesting taste 😜 Great video, as ever Marq - I need to get to the church in Albury - I think the “image niche” in the church would have held a statue or “image” of a saint, or Mary perhaps…
Another great video. Many thanks x
Very interesting church Marq.
The burger (or sometimes pie), and chips channel featuring lovely walks and interesting places!
Very interesting Marq. Thanks for taking us there! 😊
You're welcome Tracey.

Cheers Danny, I still can't work out what I'm doing wrong but I'll keep at it. Appreciate your support.

I think it is as the Spring source is nearby deep in under the Surrey Hills,
One of your best videos and not fare from me. I must get down there.

Thanks Jason, I shot a Video at Battle Abbey last week which will be an upcoming Video.

Thanks Stuart, a Lesson was learnt and will make sure I have my Rods with me in the future. I bow to your wisdom Sir.

I've never heard of Vyne so had to look it up, Looks interesting as does the Church.
@@MarqEnglish - the Vyne is a really interesting NT mansion and grounds - worth a trip!

I know The Shire is in the West Midlands, I always say 'in The Shire' if I'm out in the Countryside.
Runnymede is near Windsor not Bassingstoke.
Have you thought of volunteering for the Churches Conservation Trust?
No.
Unfortunately they have cashed in on the tourist over the last 30 + years , my first visit it was still wild no fencing .
The access now is very limited but what can you do?
Silent Pool is very full of weed at the moment isn’t it? Might give the gin an interesting taste 😜

It's always Open during the Day as a popular Route for Walkers.
I think you need to develop a 6 pack and pull a Soy face and do stupid stunts to get your video to explode.
