I really love the way you explain what you’re doing. It always makes so much sense and you make it seem like something I could actually do myself. Thanks for sharing your incredible talent with us. ❤️
I love the way your palette is so mucky and your paintings so clean. Often the other way round with me, T hank you so much or your tutorials and have a Merry Christmas.
I learn so much about colour mixing and perspective watching you paint. The shadows at the end added so much depth. Simple subject captured the peace of a country stroll. Thank you again!
Hello Chares Evans, I have been painting now for a bit. Dabbling in all mediums, my favs are watercolor and acrylic. I came down with covid and didn't feel like painting while out of work, but found you. OMG, I think I love you. No worries I'm not a crazy lady. LOL but I have learned so much from you. Of course, I have been watching you for hours on end. I was so excited when you mixed watercolor and acrylic for a snow scene. I did try to go purchase product from your site but it was unavailable. But I love your site, keep it coming. Thanks so much.
Hi Charles. Peter from Noosa Australia. Thanks for another great landscape. I like the methods and the application so much. Please keep the instruction coming. Many thanks Peter. Ps a great first day at the cricket.

A great practical demo thank you Charlie. I still feel your voice could be hired out for poetry or stories...😊 Especially your own. You sound fab...your paintings of course stand on their own. A Christmas tale or two for unfortunate kids etc would be spell binding coming from you. You are that good natural mate. Cheers. (Nz) ❤️👍
Charles, love your work. I’ve got your watercolour brush set and your acrylic brush set along with a few books of yours, loverly brush’s and I won’t use anything else. Thank you so much, you’ve been an inspiration to me. And many other amateur artists. Merry Christmas to you and your family.x
That was fantastic. Thank you for showing this. I’ve always been scared to death of watercolour but after watching you do this I’m so inspired to give it a go. 😊 Thank you.

Thank you what a great artist easy to understand I've been following you for years now one day could you show a galleon ship painting on a rough sea would love to see your take on it
@@charlesevans7706 Charlie, I’m wondering about the colorful boxes on The shelving behind your easel. They look like printer toner cartridges to me. What are they?
Hi Charlie, such a lovely video; we visited Alnwick for a week recently, the scenery is magical, painted bamburgh castle and Lindersfarne in your style..Northumberland is wonderful... Dropped in to Acklington but you were out! Och shame, next time love to meet the master. Best wishes for a peaceful, relaxing and stress free Christmas. Love to Gail xx
This is the first time I have come across you. Why have I wasted so many hours keeping a relatively clean palette and caring for brushes? I never thought about using a flat brush to chisel my way into layered paint on my palette. Having said that (and I enjoyed watching) you gave a fantastic amount of good advice in a short time, I learned much from you AND you produced a wonderful painting. Thankyou - you have another subscriber.
I see you used Yellow Ochre for the distant trees, which is an opaque colour. I read that transparent colours are used in the background. It just goes to show that different artists have varying opinions. Thanks for the update and I look forward to giving this a try.
Lovely tutorial again! Mr. Evans, would you mind to film a tutorial to teach us how to paint a snow mountain range with a card as shown in your pocket book? Thank you.
Thanks for doing these videos. They are really helpful and you explain everything you do so well. Great teacher! By the way, I've never seen a dirtier palette lol
Beautiful. I have always hated doing trees. I'll do my best to follow your instructions and see how it goes. And thanks for the info about hooker's green. Everybody hates on it. I'll give that a try.
I enjoy your videos and am a painter myself. you mentioned "sand" color as a watercolor paint. I'm interested in the characteristics you mentioned. I researched the brands I could find, but no sand. What brand makes "sand"? Invariably, the color that came up was "Titanium Buff". Is it the same...maybe a variation between the US and the UK?
I always follow along your videos, they are wonderful. But I can never seem to do clouds with a clean damp brush, not enough paint comes off. I wonder if it’s the type of watercolour paper I am using? I am using artist quality paint so I don’t know what else it could be…
Charles firstly thank you for your wonderful video tuition, can I please ask a question? I am having issues with the clouds, I am doing as you say same brushes but student quality paint, different types of paper but I can’t seem to remove the blue enough to show clouds, where do you feel I am going wrong. Thank you so much.
Lovely composition…..being originally from Oldham,Lancs,I also say grasses rather than “grawsses”….seems a lot of the Yorkshire dialect migrated into Lancs
Beautiful painting and great tutorial, as always. But I always cringe when you talk about using Charles Evans Sand for “flesh tone”. Skin comes in many colors. I’m sure Sand plus red is great for caucasian skin. 🙂
Welcome back, you’ve been missed, beautiful painting I really like the trees on the left hand side, they look totally real, fabulous
Pleased you enjoyed it.
I wouldn’t have been brave enough to have the sky running wet - thanks for showing us so well how to control it without panicking!
