Thanks Charlie. Your sky technique is brilliant. Once one does a couple it's easy peasy believable and natural looking. That " mistake", is a "teachable moment ". It's good to see that so we less experienced don't panic. That rigger holds a really good amount of water and paint. Great demo/ tutorial. Thanks again.
, Charles, I just received your Watercolor artist pocketbook. What a GREAT reference book, The best! A must-have for any watercolor artist, especially beginning artists. Thank you so much.
Charles Evans yes and thank you very much. I’m going to try my talent and trying to reproduce it for myself. Soon as I botched it up I may purchase yours. My wife is putting it into my overspending.😂🤣😂
Very nice! Watched this one during lunch, the statement that caught my attention “in a winter scene, don’t use too much white..” well that struck me as funny but in seeing the end of the presentation, yes, there’s quite a bit of color there. Thank you for sharing this.
Hi Charles. I received your pocketbook yesterday. I want you to know you have helped me more with your quickies than anyone has and your pocketbook is equally as helpful. Thank you sir.
Afternoon Charles, another great demonstration. I did a few of your weekend courses years ago and through this difficult time you have reignited my enthusiasm for water colour painting. One thing that always stuck with me and I see you still demonstrate it is the none use of masking fluid. Much appreciated once again, stay safe.
Brilliant tutorial Charles, beautiful painting, love your technical terms,,, you are funny, I,m learning so much from your tutorials thanks for sharing,. 😘👏👏😘
Hi, Charles. Your video notification just popped into my inbox - not sure why as I haven’t done watercolours for decades, but I’m glad it did as your easy ways inspire me to give them another go. To my surprise, enough of my tubes are still usable and I even discovered this very book on my shelf, so no excuses! Good to hear a good old West Riding accent - you obviously hail from very close to me. Please don’t apologise for your roots - we have grass in the north, not graarse! Keeps up the great work.
Hj Charles, love it, even though there is a lot of colour you can see it is a snow scene. There is something missing! your dogs, especially Bert who has been making a regular appearance. Please stay safe, your family too. Thank you for helping to make 'lockdown' more enjoyable. Bless you xx😊
I am loving all of these videos that you have been doing during the quarantine....and the quickies ! When life gives you lemons, make lemon margaritas ....lol....thanks !!
Hi Charlie, another great painting, easy to follow,. I received my brushes, your sand paint and your Watercolour for Beginners, in post last week. Unfortunately the postage from your side of the world to Aussie was a bit steep for the other books I had ordered. But thankfully I managed to get the other 3 books here in Aus. They are FANTASTIC Great service by the way. CHEERS
That was artistically educational, Charles Evans style, and the technical terms are getting better too. Thank you, really enjoyed it and going to have a go at this tomorrow now i'm up to date with the gardening. Amazing art.
Thank you for some good info! I always paint around my foreground trees and then try to make it look like I didn’t. Kind of a “duh” moment! So easy to just lift the paint off! Thanks!
Charles, I have only just discovered your videos and wow, what a fantastic artist you are. I have always been interested in learning to paint and your videos have made me feel like I could have a go, although you make it look very easy and I know it won't be for me. Thank you so much for your helpful and inspiring videos.
Thank you, Charles. I love the limited palette. It makes the scene very harmonious and is stress-free to paint. I really enjoy snow scenes. I'm from Canada, eh? :)
Just discovered you on on UA-cam and so glad that I have. We have meet twice before when you came to two of District 1260 Rotary Conferences. You inspired many people to take up painting with your easy, non- pretentious explanations and relaxed demonstrations. Great to catch up with you again.
Oh Charles you are so funny. Gras and graaass......lovely painting i must say.....i love your skies too. Please tell me, are we able to buy brushes etc on your website? Some say they wont send to South Africa....thank you
@@charlesevans7706 Of course it is. What I should have said was that over the years you have inspired me to be an artist as I watched your tv shows and now as a tutor I try to inspire the younger generations to become artists. So thank you for your inspiration.
Hi from Canada Charles. I appreciate your tutorials! You have an very relaxed way of teaching. Could you clarify the brand of paper you are using? Thank you so much for sharing your talent!

Like the way you do the Clouds, having been taught to use paper towel. Also very clean without the towel. Thank you Charles.
You’re very welcome.

I love the soft edges of the clouds! And your blooms are so natural and seemed to be controlled, which is so hard to do with watercolor! LOOOVE!
Thank you sooo much
I love the stormy sky painting which is behind you.
Thank you very much. I think it’s on the website!
Ty . I have 3 of your Books. They have made me a better Painter but most of all they help me see like an Artist. Very Smart they are.

Jasmine Morris yes, they were good fun those conferences. Haven’t done one for years!
Beautiful!! Perfecte imatge, we can see all the details. Thank you!!
Thank you for soldiering on, Mr. Evans. It's hot & humid here in New York, so the snow scene was quite welcome!

Hi from Canada Charles. I appreciate your tutorials! You have an very relaxed way of teaching. Could you clarify the brand of paper you are using? Thank you so much for sharing your talent!
Susan Buss I’m pleased you enjoyed it. Paper is The Langton Rough 140lb
I have that book and you signed it for me in the Brewery in GHD - 20 years ago, wow.
Love it ! You make it look so easy ........... but it’s not 😁 I’m a complete beginner 👍so lots more practice 😀
I highly recommend Charles sand it makes a big difference to the texture

Where can I find the watercolour you call sand please . Can't find through your website
Thanks Pal!
Thank you so much sir Charles.
les livres existent -ils en Français?
Charles, I’m not sure why you put foliage in winter/snow scenes. Aren’t they deciduous trees ? Wouldn’t they be bare at that point ?
It’s not foliage!
Thank you!
Thank you Charles.
Hi Charles I recently purchased from you a full set of colours and paper ,but I have a problem with the hookers green ,its stays soft and gloopy so when I dip in I get more than I need ,any suggestion as to why this is happening, many thanks noreen
It should stay soft! The only thing I can suggest is to squeeze less out.
Another beautiful demo! Thanks! I also like the paint behind you, expecially the grass, ops the "groas" in it :)
Ahahaha, pleased you enjoyed it.
Another book?! "Charles Evans Pocket Book for Watercolour Artists" finally arrived, and now you want me to buy ANOTHER one? 😜🤣 👍
