Seems like my first comment has been deleted for whatever reason... Thank you so much for your video! I highly appreciate your opinion and criticism! The knife has in fact been produced by TuyaKnife and Sascha Stoelp, representing TuyaKnife Europe, has been the biggest help during the process from planning to selling! I owe them big time! I went for a wire clip, because I believe they are the most practical clips on the market. And for anyone who fancies a more elegant clip, there are several options available on the market. The "foundation" of the knife, its liners, is in fact made from titanium. Just because TITANIUM. 😉 I wanted to incorporate all my favourite materials into this design and furthermore create an Hommage to my favourite Bark River knife: my custom order Gunny (video on my channel). The finish on the blade is done by hand. Both models (green and brown) were limited and numbered to 75 pieces. Plus my two prototypes marked "00". A V2.0 of the Tortuga is currently in production. Anyone from North America who is interested in the Tortuga should get in touch with Mr. Dave Warren from TuyaKnife US, our good friend and partner in crime! Once again big, big thanks for your video! 🙏🏻 Greetings from Germany, Andi1878
Your short videos are great! The longer ones are the best, but they take you too long to write, so I understand. Lots of love from South Florida, you are still the best knife reviewer! Wishing you and your family the best.
Haven't watched the video but decided to comment anyway because it'll make you wonder why. I will edit in something useful later I do like the shorter videos. Can't say I'm really into this knife but knives are more about what they say Tuya anyway, so that shouldn't matter. It is nice to see a modern traditional on the larger size though, but the Serge interested me more than this, overall. Thanks for the video!
Nice knife and good presentation! It is always enjoyable to listen to your narration. As others have mentioned - your short video is great, your long films are amazing. 👍
Glad its not your least fav knife, i think, so far anyways. I agree that wire clips arent the most attractive, but as far as functionality, i like them best. Plus they dont gouge the bottom left side of my leather wrapped steering wheel getting in and out of my vehicle, so thats a win. The only “traditional” style i still carry on occasion is the civivi rustic gent.
Will it up my street cred? Can it deflect artillery? Will it make me irresistible to supermodels? So, what good is it? I thought that you understood AKB.
Cool you played with a limited knife. I do like the modern look. I like more videos but once a quarter do a long one. Oh did you get some fancy new camera equipment, guessing based off the B&H box.
Hey Mr. AdvancedKnifeBro! I have no use for a righty-only carry knife, but did I spot your cool logo on a different knife? Did I miss an announcement??
There is a better way to close a slip joint. Use two hands to close it ,hold in one hand and use the palm of the other hand . That way you won't cut your fingers ! You can not close a Lansky World Legal Slip Joint with one .It's a good thing cause you would cut your finger right off ,huge back spring! Great Vid !
I like to use 3 hands. I hold the knife out in front of me with both hands and hope someone not scared of the blade will come along and close it for me.
"Short is good", he said, eyes darting anywhere above belt height and keeping his hips cocked back so the relevant evidence explaining his discomfort was in shadow. "You get everything you need in the short version" he said more emphatically but without conviction.
Very nice,, I've recently tried a couple of SAK'S,, Jeez, what crap steel,,, I had them shaving sharp, and after a couple of cardboard boxes each,, blunt AF,, (yep, we say blunt,, not dull,,), Long live S110v,, lol..
Well, when there is everything in the video that we need to know, then I don't care about the length of it at all. 🙂 Doesn't need to be hasty and doesn't need to be stretched. This one felt sufficiant!
I think the shorter videos are fine when they warrant it. If you only have 6 minutes of something to say about a particular thing trying to stretch it out to meet a 10+ minute mark can lose viewer interest if it's not hitting a relatively high bar for engagement. In trying to do that though you probably have to put twice as much effort into figuring out those 4 minutes than you did the original 6.
Those will come back. I recorded this over a month ago now- before the urban EDC stuff. Just want to get a little more variety out there. I have some fixed blades and the sword I want to do, but have to finish up a few of these things I started in January.
@@AdvancedKnifeBro I’m joking mostly, I have really enjoyed the more frequent and varied reviews. The watch review actually got me interested in learning more about the history of mechanical watches and chronographs, the mechanics are really interesting. Thank you for the update.
I’ll be doing a few more watch videos. Gonna give it a month or two though before I do any more. More mechanicals- stuff I find interesting and reasonably affordable-ish
Forced exclusivity. All they need to do now is make their only distributor that place in Vegas that sells things "first come first serve" but anything worth having is getting scalped by the same account on fleabay.
There were only 150 made because locally sourced artisanal slip joints can only be harvested during months that end with the letter R. They then need to marinate in a slurry of ground kombucha scobys and energy drinks in a full grain leather wine skins. This process takes time, noobs.
Screws on a traditional knife... Pffff. Being able to clean the knife is pretty much the opposite of traditional. Keep that thing dirty to the point where it'll give food poisoning when you use it to traditionally cut your veggies

Thanks for the head's-up on the 2.0, dude!
Great video, a little birdie told me more are in production now….

The big question AKB is simply this...... Is it good for self offense??
Bro I definitely look forward to all your eccentric creative commentary. Format length is inconsequential, just keep em coming!
Shorter ones the way you did this batch was great. The materials features and your impressions are pretty much all I need.
Love the short format, love the long format. Just love the AKB!
horizontal direction is more exciting being hand rubbed finish. I like to call this the happy ending rub finish

Wow why did you comment prematurely, I wonder why
Nice knife and good presentation!

And the shorter ones 🙃

It’s a good knife! I’ve been using it quite a bit! Thank you so much!
I agree with you about the steering wheel, wire clips are great.
Camaro bro?
Nice work AKB. Love me that micarta. Decent looking knife. Now you have me on the brink of getting into slipjoints. But not watches. Never…watches…
Thanks for the awesome video! Keep the Instagram content coming too, really like watching your feed throughout the day when I'm not at my computer.
Will it up my street cred? Can it deflect artillery? Will it make me irresistible to supermodels? So, what good is it? I thought that you understood AKB.
Like the format and loving that you're putting more content out, one of my favorite channels by far!!
I think a very cool looking knife. Like the look of the wire clip.
Thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks dude!
I appreciate having the shorter videos mixed in !!
Thx! What do you think about the Impinda?
Nice flex with that surprise spring street Barlow. My heart aches, but not my wallet.
Can you reviev the CIVIVI Stylum?
I wonder how it's detention ball slip joint holds up and how you like the no-noce frontflipper of it. 🙂
Keep em comin.
Have you ever tried the J.E. Made slipjoints? I have one in the s35vn’s and titanium scales. Pretty nice low batch from China.
Seconding this request, AKB. I've got a few J.E.'s and I'd call 'em flawless. Be interested to see your take.
Cool you played with a limited knife. I do like the modern look. I like more videos but once a quarter do a long one.
Oh did you get some fancy new camera equipment, guessing based off the B&H box.
The camera I’m shooting it on is in 4K now… I don’t know if many people watch these in 4K- but it’d look great on a big TV.
Dang I love it. Great looking proportions, style and lines
Hey Mr. AdvancedKnifeBro! I have no use for a righty-only carry knife, but did I spot your cool logo on a different knife? Did I miss an announcement??
Oh that’s a custom someone made for me. I’m gonna do a video for it coming up.
I look forward to your videos so more would be great 👍. Also i might be in the minority here but more blue lines would be swell as well
Nice lookin' knife. I really like the Vario! ( on my to get list)
That's a nice larger size slippie. It's nice to see larger traditional modern traditionals?
Me: what kind of knife is that?
AKB: why, what's it Tuya?

Oh yeah more vids
Thanks for filming ~ abrikadoobie

Using a limited edition slipjoint to breakdown a BH box is very on brand for AKB.
Should I get a Spartan or SRK?
Srk
@@AdvancedKnifeBro which one should a teenage boy who doesn't often wear a belt get?
the srk seems better, but the folding is a big thing for me. I will mostly use it for farm/hunting/fishing.
Believe that Sean yaw would beat em up at a midnight meet up at the local 7-11 behind the dumpster
It’s a biggun
Instructions unclear, fought for Tortuga energy drink.
You say nail nick, I say blood groove. Potato potahtoe.... I've heard it both ways.
Mann, why did you stop reviewing flashlights? It was very entertaining
They took many many hours to test and one of my cameras that I used for it is mostly dead

Lol this guy. I dont have any laws here in wi, but i still grabbed a ukpk salt, going to put ti scales on it. First slip joint.
That’s because they know it’s a beastie
I’ve never understood knives that force one’s grip to be so far from the blade
"Mindless Meat Soldiers" have you been watching the new again from Ukraine again dude. Enjoyed the vid.
Also "Horizonal Hand Rubs" Just so many triggers in this video man.
I will gladly die for Monster Energy
The illuminati made it limited to get you hooked. Worked!

Pins = traditional knife ,screws =modern
At least that's what I think . You can call them what ever you want
Only 150 were made BECAUSE it’s a slip joint.

Nothing beats presents you buy yourself from B&H.
Thanks for the Video,
I enjoy the shorter and more frequent videos but Also miss the dick jokes and rambling in Tacticool voice, What a dilemma!

Dude what?
?
I don't know why the hell they would make it a slip joint when they could just make it a lockback
Freemason donations are simply the best
Where these free masons you speak of... I need some wall work and all the ones I contacted want money

Small makers need to produce smaller quantities. They did another run of these by the way- it’s not a conspiracy.

Love u all, but wire clips are worthless, fall off in 2 weeks, garbage.
That knife is wack
