I wouldn't let you paint my car or house. But, then again you'd be smart not to let me paint your stuff. I have an airbrush for models, still learning the techniques. Anyway it is a very nice form the effect has a kind of artsy(ness) to it , it's like a very expensive vase. Excellent job sir.
Sam, you have convinced me to added an air brush to my Christmas list. As I was watching I was thinking what would a dash of yellow do to that color pallet?
Perfect timing Sam. I have a pile of hickory that I was having trouble figuring out what use it for and I’m just starting to make hollow forms. Thanks to this video and your willingness to share your knowledge. I now have a plan. Thank you for another great video
So you used 2 part wood bleach before coloring both the inside and the outside? It looked very light, not wood toned. Do you find the colors come out truer on the bleach than on the naturally warm (yellow) wood tone? Would a coat of the white dye as a base color do the same, at least for the outside?
Valeriy, nice to hear from you. I did bleach this. The purpose is to take away any color that is in the wood. It makes the dye stand out more not sure about using the white as a base code. But anything is possible Sam
Excellent work, Sam. Just keep those videos coming!
That is a gorgeous hollow form.
What a beautiful hollow form!! The colors and grain are stunning. Thanks for sharing.

I am not a fan of color but I must admit the result is outstanding. Thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.

It’s amazing how the lacquer seals the colors and makes them so vibrant!
Thanks, Sam 🙂
