Retired judge says jury questions reveal more about mindset than length of time

- A retired judge said you can often tell more about a jury's mindset by the questions they ask rather than the time they spend deliberating. WBZ-TV's Brandon Truitt reports.
Over a month??? This has been a 9 week trial !
This case should have been sequestered
You don’t have to tell us that we are fools
Guess they are confused because of the not guilty box on the verdict form? Jk
Im watching the movie THE DEPARTED, remember that one? Its a great movie about Massachusetts troopers working for gangsters. Out of all the USA cities, the director chose Boston. Now i understand why , state Police have reputation for corruption!
It can’t be easy for this jury
Rittenhouse took four days.
Thank you. I kept thinking of his trial! They tried to use his searching for representation as consciousness of guilt in that trial as well and the judge was so angry about that!
You mean “hos long”
The O. J. jury only took four hours to let a murderer walk. So...
He was found not guilty. He’s not a murderer.😊
I think she’s guilty AND the cops are corrupt
😂 People are still simping for Darden and the mole-faced woman. Although she did make enough cash to have that mole removed. What's her name again? Oh yeah, Marsha Clark. Darden is the Fani Willis/ workplace romance every underling wants to be. 😂 Prosecutors are just Defense lawyers in training.

They want us to forget about him
@@Veritas-inveniturin Rittenhouse case that judge was amazing. He said exactly what I’d want to hear to the prosecutor who tried to bring in consciousness of guilt re: Kyle searches for lawyer.
@@Veritas-inveniturthey want us to forget about the long jury deliberations that ended in a NG 🤷🏻♀️AND OJ don’t count either
Not guilty
I don’t know why there are news segments speculating as to what the jury’s mindset is. Slow news week I guess. If anything, they’re doing their due diligence, as a jury should do when they have someone’s life in their hands.
They were instructed to go through all of the evidence and also gold to not to an jnitial vote when they were sent to deliberate.
Lally basically stated the jury is far, far from being finished with deliberating.
Innocent ❤
Will there be a riot outside if she’s found guilty?
Objectively there's no way they can convict, that much was clear from the start
Not so sure …

There was no evidence and no manner of death.
@@SamStone1964Head pulverized or froze to death either way GUILTY
@@MaureenODonovan Just saying "or" you are implying reasonable doubt. The fact is the jury doesn't have a certain cause of death. To many posibilities.
@@MaureenODonovan
Head pulverised by what?
I don't believe she's guilty.
I don’t think so either. There’s evidence of the opposing side having done it. I think it was a drunken brawl gone wrong ending in a police cover up. Karen is by no means perfect, but she’s no murderer.
She's obviously not. Not a matter of believing. If you are aware of the evidence there is no evidence to suggest she did anything.
Then you are brainwashed or lack discernment because the physical evidence and vehicle data clearly prove that Karen Read killed John O'Keefe
She's Innocent.
Why didn’t you include any cases where they jury deliberated for a long time and came back not guilty? Great unbiased journalism 😂

@melodieshimon Where's the evidence? There is definitely reasonable doubt. However, the prosecution has not proved their case 1 bit.
I'm afraid of a hung jury...

Did they ever present the blood that was found on the undercarriage of her SUV and the logs of her putting the car in reverse pressing down in the accelerator of up to 24 mph?
The blood found on the undercarriage that was his blood is what did it for me
This jury is scaring me. If they are going over the " lack of evidence " then she will be found guilty.
What do you mean lack of evidence to prosecution has no evidence
@@eileencalabro7909 Exactly. Commentators are saying the jury is going over the evidence and my point is, what could they be going over since the state didn't produce evidence of her guilt, i.e. lack of evidence.
It took many of the public conspiracy likers half to three quarters of trial to come to their senses. The jury has to go the same paces and catch up.
IF jurors paid attention and took copious notes, as they should have, doesn’t take this long to render verdict.
It may if they find her guilty
Giving Lally a taste of his own medicine with boredom
GUILTY
Let me see, you sit in court listening to both sides and then you go back to see more of the same of what you just heard. I'm sorry but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the lies and disturbing judge to make the case a guilty verdict. The system in this case is broken.
I don’t think we are dealing with rocket scientist here
@@timhoneycutt1367 I can see that not even common sense.
I'm not sure what trial you were watching. But the prosecution did not show any EVIDENCE that she's guilty whatsoever. The prosecution's own witnesses have actually helped the defense, to be exact. The trooper who did the leaf blowing testified under oath that there was no TAILLIGHT pieces , Were OJO'S bidy was licated.the second witness, SERGEANT BARROS HAS testified that there was no broken pieces of her tail light that it was only cracked, the only witnesses who lied or the ones that were involved were lying so I don't know where you mind is going with guilty🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ Thank God you're not on a jury. I've been on one, and I know why it's taken them too long because they probably have more not guilty, and 1 or 2 are saying guilty.
@@eileencalabro7909 I'm sorry you don't comprehend, however, what was meant is that it looks as if the judge wants a guilty verdict. Yes, I myself worked for a courthouse as a deputy circuit clerk.

The jury will realize all those house witnesses were grilled only to.get timeline help and offered up info. The parent okeefes did not testify and she called daddy for help at 1:00 AM hour. She was in ttrouble trying to run and fix things in a small town in a short period of time. The small wild animal came after death and or the tail light damage. Karen changed her story so much and drank way to much. If she had a concience she would have fessed up while in trial. She has confessed already, soo. Shes right about something. It has been much tax payer and time potentially wasted, unless some miracle of justice happens here. I dont envy the jury, but am glad they are apparenrly well invested in the task.

Rewatching, still a ton of reasonable doubt
@@SavvyMuhon realizing that the police did an absolutely terrible job investigating this crime, had they went into the house at 34 Fairview Karen would be in prison!!
I don’t think the theory of John being beaten in the house is plausible though considering he was 6‘2“ tall and well over 210 pounds and he had no defensive wounds?? As a matter of fact, he had no other persons DNA on his body , how does that happen if he’s attacked?? I’ve watched this entire trial and I honestly feel like Karen is the only One who could’ve committed this crime, technology (meaning her phone and her SUV) tracked her entire moves of the night of January 28 th and the early morning of January 29.
Not to mention the fact that John O’Keefe’s cell phone was underneath his body from the time that Karen dropped him off in front of the house!! he never moved from that spot.
I’m anxiously awaiting the verdict! I do hope Karen is held accountable though!
Day after day, we’ve watched her smile and smirk & laugh with her attorneys this shows her character and the fact that she could do that right in front of John O’Keefe’s family is disturbing to say the least!
