The only thing better than getting old tech, is getting old tech complete with the original box and accessories.
Fully agree, that iSight camera is one of the few times that has happened for me haha.
So happy with it.
Nice to see the 2005 setup improving! I’ve been thinking about doing a similar thing with my iMac G3, using that for iTunes and other light applications or games. The best way to use an iPod is with an era appropriate Mac, older iTunes works great!

Yes, I reckon that's a good idea - iMac G3s are beautiful machines and are becoming quite a bit rarer these days. Good luck with any projects should you undertake them!

Thank you, for another excellent video. Back in the day, I had planned on adding an iSight camera to my glossy white 20-inch G5 iMac. However, it would have been a pain because my wife would have never let me keep it up. Take that thing down someone on the internet might be watching us! The only reason, I do not use a vintage computer with my 5th generation classic ipod is the iTunes store will no longer sell me music from Apple's OS X 10.4 Tiger or OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard operating systems. However, I do keep my white iPod in its white matching charging stand, just to the right of my G5 iMac and together they make a lovely little brother and big brother pair (smile...smile).

Fair enough re. the iPod setup. I tend to buy my music elsewhere anyway so it’s not much trouble for me.
I'm the same way. I have my 5th gen iPod video synced to my 12" Powerbook G4.

My grandma had an iMac G5 like this and even when it came out it was a heat monster. Always freezing, shuddering and an absolute awe inspiring machine with the new 10.5 “3D” dock lmao. Awesome nostalgia
IIRC, there was a L stand for mounting to the back of a display ... that wasn't magnetic with adhesive.

Not gonna lie, the iSight and iPod Classic were super hot items back in the day, and not a lot of people could afford them. Pretty cool to see both!

Yep, there is something *right* about it, eBay is a very dangerous thing if you're not careful, but it has made me very happy these past few months!

Brilliant m8. Amazing find. I still have mine on a 30" Apple Cinema w/ Firewire 400 to 800 & a Thunderbolt adapter. This was so posh bk in the day (2004) You have the last gen C w/ the magnet base. I had to but it separately coming from the 1st gen A kit. There's a brilliant ring light (made & sold separately) that fit on front as they had low light.
What cam are you using on display behind?

@@maxyshoutube6799 I can find old versions of Skype (and other apps) but getting them to actually work and talk to modern servers is the challenge!
