Where is the 10,000 like button? This was a phenomenal build. What an absolute gift you have for woodworking! Everything you have built looks absolutely beautiful. Enjoy your outdoor kitchen and new table!
Another fine Whipple job ! It's wonderful to watch a simple project develop into a more complex solution , over time ! Who knew a BBQ would lead to a dining pavilion ??? Well done...thankyou for bringing us along !
Awesome. Really enjoy your practical processes on the way you build your projects. You make it seem like common sense; yet, we all know common sense is not that common anymore.
Best thing you did was put the four footpads on the base. That makes it way easier to level. A great example of my favorite kind of carpentry - "rustic" or "rough", but well-built and completely functional. Nice - a giant version of my cable table. 😂
Thanks !! I started sanding but realized the paper I had with me was pretty worn out . The router is a great idea ! I should buy another one so I don't have to unhook mine from the table if I want to use it .
That turned out really nice! Psst. You can tell who is the "real carpenter" in the family. (Haha) Merry Christmas & Happy New Year to all the Whipples!
Great table. Inspires me to want to build an oval one for my deck like this. Any reason you screwed the final screws down through the table top instead up up from underneath? Sincere question
Your pavilion is beautiful. But you're in Michigan, right? Don't you need screens to keep out the state bird? 🤣 (Maine has a similar problem and our pavilion is 100% screened in.)
Thanks !! I'm trying to decide how I want to do that . I don't want it permanent maybe a big screen curtain on a track that I can slide from the sides or roll up . they get pretty bad in the evenings
Love a good huge table, grab your lazy suzan and away ya go. I am confused as to why you screwed down from the top of the table and not up from the bottom to hide all the screws and prevent a spot for moisture to settle. ya you'd need to drill out a hole unless you wanted to use very long screws but it would have left you with a perfect top. also looks like you'll wanna chamfer the edges of the table lest whoever stands up wrong or reaches under the table to pet a doggo be met with an arm or a leg full of splinters.
same here. I didn't have the right screws and didn't feel like going to town lol laziness I guess . I plan to round the edges my sand paper was worn out so that will be a later project
Snap a line from corner to corner and it marks the center without doing all the measuring. 😊 Nice simple design on the table. Turned out great. 😁
why didn't I think of that lol
Great table. Honorable mention to the shop help!
Thanks !! they're great helpers !

It sure does . especially if those 2x6s were bowed it would rock without those . is that the big cable spools?
Not one of the giant ones. What are your plans for finishing the top? Have you thought about boat dope?
Maybe round over the edge with a router before staining. More comfortable on the arms and maybe prevent some splinters. Love it!
Thanks !! I started sanding but realized the paper I had with me was pretty worn out . The router is a great idea ! I should buy another one so I don't have to unhook mine from the table if I want to use it .
Nice work brother! Lovely table, and I enjoyed watching the build of it! Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you and your loved ones!

LOL thank you !! Merry Christmas !!
Charlie is "helping" a lot 🤣
he sure is lol !
Great table. Inspires me to want to build an oval one for my deck like this.

I wondered this, too.
Thanks !! mainly because I forgot to get the right length screws for that . I thought about waiting but really didn't feel like going to town .
Nice project 👍. I'm surprised you didn't use water proof wood glue to put it together.
I planned to use construction adhesive , but the tube I had was hardened up so I just put it together
I think I would have used 1/4” structural lags and gone in underneath to fasten the top without them showing. 😊 Just an idea.
That was my original plan but forgot to get the that length screw and really didn't feel like going back to town
I can’t believe you won’t change it just for me. 😢😁
Happy Holidays everyone!!!
Happy Hollidays to you too !!!
Let’s goooo
Hell yeah !!
Happy Christmas everyone ⛄🥳⛄
Merry Christmas !
