I love my 2018 SS 1LE! I never thought I'd own an American car, let alone a Camaro, but this car is just phenomenal!

The 1LE prob cost as much or more than the SCAT , I think I'll go SRT
@@TheBikemaster94 if all you want to do is go fast in a straight line, then the Scat Pack is the car for you. But on a road course, the 1LE will quickly leave the Scat Pack far, far behind.

Randy previous review of the 1LE is why I bought mine. Tracked it 15 times last year and it ran great on various tracks even in the Texas heat. A few times passing my other favorite car, the GT350.
I have always loved the modern day Camaro. Always was a great car. I prefer these over a Corvette now a days.

@@nestr2007 I can't get into to it. I love my 5th and the 6th gen. The new refresh feels like there're going for a European look rather than muscle look. I feel the same way about the refreshed mustang too. There're both are so ugly 😭😭😭

@@nestr2007 I guess there're looking to target the younger market, let the older generation have fun in their high end foreign couples while the younger generation drives the more affordable now "European like" car. Even the new corvette, Ford GT and Dodge vipe has European DNA which works well for them. The only true Muscle car is the dodge challenger to me.
nestoavila the only part of the refresh I can stand is the tail lights. I kept looking at the front end and I just come to like it one bit.

Jason Cammisa unfortunately left quite a while ago. Not sure why Pobst is doing these Tire Rack ones now. I really miss the Lieberman/Cammisa videos. Lieberman has been doing videos with a British guy since Cammisa left but they aren't nearly as entertaining.

@@MrLickid I don't understand people, when Cammisa was still in videos everyone kinda hated him saying that he was a clown and that it ruined the seriousness, but at the moment he goes, suddenly everyone misses him.
I got 9,000 miles out of mine. Street driving only no burnouts. Switched to nitto 555, not as sticky but at 11,000 miles have a lot of life left.

Lol I love Randy, Mototrend and the 1Le.... but come on Those supercar tires are hands down one of the most awesome tires, but they don’t last week with me, track and street. Worst part is I replaced them with Michelin Super cup 2, cant believe what a fail those are compared to the Goodyear... and I’ve never liked a good year tire.
I saw an SS 1LE at the track that had 12k miles on his original tires and they lasted several track sessions.
Your car must need an alignment.
car handles incredibly well with these tires even in the rain. Straight line not so much.

I've been waiting for MT to actually do a full review on the SS 1LE! They skiped from the SS to the ZL1, and apart from barely featuring it in Best Drivers Car (where it took 4th, yet was barely talked about) there's been little to nothing on it.
So at least we have a hot lap, although this isn't a full review.

Same track, same driver, many cars. Is there a list of results that we can look at for comparison?
They did the Mustang GT performance pack and that has Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires and that only ran a 1:23:97. Gives you perspective that the Camaro SS 1LE is over 3 seconds faster. The 2015 BMW M4 got a track time of 1:23:73. THe BMW had the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tire which is a very track focused tire. The 2015 Dodge Charger Hellcat ran a 1:26:87.
That was all I could find for Willow Springs. They tested more cars on Big Willow, but a lot of them are super cars like the 720s which is obviously going to blow the doors off a Camaro SS.
@@kabloosh699 Thanks for the info. I did some Googling too and it seems that most of the results from Randy's laps are on the 2.5 mile configuration. It's a challenge to find the results from this new Tire Rack series. Not a big deal really - it's just interesting for me to see how cars stack up against others.

I’m a Mustang fan, but these new Mustangs have bad transmission forks so nope.

I unsubscribed about 6 months ago. Because you really get are commercials now. I used to watch these guys a lot back in the day now they want you to pay for this stuff.

They actually never did a proper review of the SS 1LE.
The problem is the Camaro not only has a lot of trims, about one released every year. It also has unparralelled performance per dollar, so it tends to show up a lot.
