thank you for the tutorial! i've tried following many other tutorials, but yours was the only one that allowed me to successfully (somewhat) craft the round rug i've been wanting to try! it's not as beautiful as yours, but hopefully with practice, it will look better.
Omg!!!! I love this!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥 I have been trying to find something like this. It’s like crochet concept just in had knitting. 😍 please make more videos like this. It was easy for me to understand as I’ve been trying to teach myself to crochet since I could figure out how to apply the concept to hand knitting. I love it! 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I've had the same yarn forever planning to make a rug but never knew how. It was so easy to learn from you, thanks! ❤
thank you so so much for this, i bought a bunch of this exact type of yarn and thought i'd totally be able to follow a tutorial on youtube but after following a couple others and only ending up with tight yarn/ knots this is the only one i've been able to follow so thank you so much!! :')
This seems really fun! I wonder if it would work as a rag rug - as in, if the yarn was homemade from old clothes 🤔 it would be a great way to reuse them!
only bought one thing of yarn to see if i could learn this quickly for fun and ran out before the 10 minute mark :( i’m hooked though so i’ll be getting more yarn asap
This is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing the technique. I saw another video where the person recommended that the single crochet stitches be done in the back loops to help the rug lay flatter. Would that work here as well?
Thank you so much! I’m making a mushroom hat for Halloween that requires a circle hand knit piece like this. Do you know how you could crochet in circles for the mushroom?
Do you have a oattern to explain how many loops per round? Because im losing track of how many im suposied to do, when u start a new round im never starting on the correct sc/2sc
I have just started doing these. I find it easier to use a lighter and fuse them together that way. You would light the end of the current yarn you are working with and the start of the new yarn together. They should fuse together and you can start with the new color. You don’t have to burn a lot just the tip of the yarn.
Stitches are too tight. Try again and make them looser than you think you should like double the size and see if it’s flat and then you can redo it at the right tension if it’s too too big

you're so welcome!!! Everything takes practice. I find that setting it on the floor once in a while helps with the shaping of it.

So smart!

Good question, I believe it would work either way on this one. It will look a bit different in the back loops though
Oh yeahhh.. Nice! If I have the time I try that one👍 15:00

unfortunately, I don't but check out Simply Maggie's UA-cam channel, she's got great videos, so she might have something on there!
Thank youuuuu🥰
this worked thanks
Can you please do a tutorial on how to make a heart rug like that?
Do you have a oattern to explain how many loops per round? Because im losing track of how many im suposied to do, when u start a new round im never starting on the correct sc/2sc
I don’t have a pattern at this point but I’ll be working on more patterns so stay tuned!
Thank you sooo much 💚💚💚
you're welcome!
Can you use a smaller yarn to make it a tighter knit?
absolutely! Check out Simply Maggie to see how she the circle rug.
How would you change the color of you wanted to do multiple colors?
I have just started doing these. I find it easier to use a lighter and fuse them together that way. I tried and it works but as i make it bigger, the rug warped. Help~~
Probably too tight as it gets bigger. I lay it on the floor periodically and make sure it’s laying flat with the right tension
How many spools did you use for the rug?
I actually can't remember but you'll need 5-10 depending on the size and the bigger it gets the less you get out of each roll of yarn.
Where do I get the yarn from?
Michaels
JoAnn Fabric, I just bought some from there last night.
Can I get this printed?
Are you looking for a printed pattern? I don’t have one yet for this rug but I will try to make them
Yes! Thank you!
I did all the step 1 but is just not going around
No matter how many times I retry it doesn’t lay flat and I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong 😭
Could be your stitches are too tight try doing them looser
Stitches are too tight. Try again and make them looser than you think you should like double the size and see if it’s flat and then you can redo it at the right tension if it’s too too big
I rage quit but thank you anyway
Are you crocheting or knitting?
To me it looks like crocheting, but your title says knitting??? I am confused 🤔🧐🤔
Totally definitely crocheting lol I was confused too.
Too complicated
Not clear for a beginner
