Nice car, brother. I have a 2018 R with IE’s stage 2 E30 with HPFP upgrade. Absolute blast of a car. Coming from IE’s stage 2 93oct tune, it’s a major difference! E30 makes a huge difference in power delivery. Are you planning on going my route to stage 2 E30? I’m located in Vancouver Canada. If you’re ever here, let me know!
Yes! I'm planning to step through their stage 2 and will do the E30 along the way. Eventually doing the Garrett turbo upgrade. I hear there is a good R group up your way and will try to make some connections while up there sometime!
55L = 14.5Gal I just picked up a 2019 GTI and wanted to run ethanol but i was under the impression that i'd need bigger injectors to run E85. What are you using to flash your ECU so that you dont void factory warranty or just dont care? BTW just found your channel, its great.
Yeah, the calculator doesn’t care about volume units as long as you keep it consistent. I’m not sure about the GTI, but I assumed it was just a HPFP. I used IE’s power link cable and my PC to flash their tune to my car. Warranty is out the door for me anyway, but I’d do it either way. Thanks for stopping by! More to come!
@@Vaguh the CTEK piece is an actual battery charger instead of a booster pack. Completely safe to use, unlike a booster. Been binge watching your videos as I have an A3 en route. Keep up the good work!
I haven’t had any issue with my LPFP. I don’t recall what issue you were having? The stock HPFP seems to be the limitation here and the reason I upgraded it with the Autotech internals kit. There was a short period when I first started using the e30 tune that I was having fuel cut issues, but it seemed to be a tuning issue that was resolved with a minor revision. I’ve been running the IE TrueFlex tune up to e80 or so now without issue and loving it. From what I understand, I won’t need to consider upgrading my LPFP until I get into a bigger turbo.
To see how much power you're gaining you need to look at mph not ET. ET varies with all kinds of factors, mph really only changes when the power/weight ratio changes.
Nope! I was stage 2 with a catted downpipe from a different company, so I went totally back to stock to work my way through the IE catalog. Sorry if that’s the impression I gave. Can’t wait to be back to stage 2 and beyond!
Thanks!
Whoa, thanks Mark! Much appreciated!
@@Vaguh ya bro, well the video helped me think out my flex plans yesterday, so thats gotta be worth something..
Just FYI I had that issue, when I swapped from the E30 to the E30 crackle. I swapped my OEM HPFP, plugs, etc. IE resolved it with file update as well.
Good to know. Glad they helped you get it resolved!

this guy is great
Hey, thank you!
im so ready to pull the trigger on this.
Do it! Basically level up a stage without the extra hardware!
Check the CTEK CS FREE for portable battery charging while tuning.
I thought this comment was spam 😆. I have a similar NOCO device, but it’s a good idea!

@@MrHelipilot Good to know and good luck with the A3!
no issue with the LPFP like i had?

IE FTW 😤🤙

Would 25% fuel level mean that you are at a 1/4 of a tank???
Was the stage 2 too loud?
