It's definitely worth booking! And I'm not just saying that because they sponsored my visit - it's objectively the best hotel in town. There is a HUGE gap in terms of amenities and service between this hotel and every single other property in town. Some of them look downright old and decayed. I loved every single thing about this property - definitely worth the extra cost.
No, it is part of the French Republic. They use the Euro, and you must pass through France border and get the France entry stamp. It is not associated with Canada, but there is a ferry connection to Canada (90 minutes).
The ferry connects the village of Fortune, Newfoundland & Labrador with the islands of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon. The nearest Canadian city is St. John's, Newfoundland, 5 hours by road from the ferry terminal.
I travelled there by ferry & returned by air! There will be a full travel vlog of my visit to St. Pierre & Miquelon in the coming weeks. I had to work on this hotel review first, as they are the ones who paid for my visit to the archipelago. So, stay tuned for my travel vlog on SP&M as it will answer many of your questions about the islands.
Great place - equally great presentation,, which makes us place Les Terasses du Port on our to visit list. Thank you!!
Glad you enjoyed the review! It’s a wonderful hotel 👍
SPM is a bucket list trip for me, but should I end up making it out there, I'll be sure to book this hotel.
