I wonder if most items consumed by the residents of these French islands are imported from nearby Canada. I mean things like milk, eggs, wheat for making bread and even motor fuel. Interesting video about the history of these not too well-known territories of France and thanks for sharing!

Most day to day items like Milk and eggs are imported from Canada. However lots of other grocery items are from France. Fuel comes from Canada. All electric devises or appliances mostly come from France (220 volts). Vehicles are a mixed of both, Ford.. GM... but also Renault and Peugeot.

You omitted mention that, when the International crisis arose by de Gaulle sending a ship to end Vichy control of the islands, with the US being the main objector, tyhe Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour and Germany's declaration of war on the US ended the crisis.

The two islands were popular during prohibition and organized crime moved booze from there to North America. Now everything is opposite. Now the contraband is cannabis and not alcohol and its moving in the opposite direction from Canada to St Pierre and Miquelon .

Some interesting info. But there were so many images that were shown in a reversed fashion. Disappointing. i.e./ map of the USA with Florida showing on the west coast? Also, the robotic voice with the French accent was not great, either.

Thanks for your feedbacks. Sorry if my voice/accent bother you. The robotic voice is due to my editing but I’m working on it.

Some interesting information but some historically inappropriate images were used (not related to the history of the islands, the nations involved in the settlement, or even the time periods involves). Narration is listless and the overall effect, as a result, is quite poor.
