Last year I visited Senji and Vellore with a group with the objective of exploring the footprints of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharajas Karnatak Expedition. While returning to Mumbai, we went to this temple and remembered Shivaji Maharaj and his extra ordinary valour of visiting this site inside the then Fort St George. Thanks for sharing this video

Will certainly visit. I studied in St. Mary’s Anglo Indian schools At Armenian st, but never knew about this
If Shivaji had attacked the British garrison and over powered it, the colonialists would never have established themselves the way they did and Indian history may have been different. Why did Shivaji not takeover Madras from the British ? Did he consider the Moghul invaders a larger threat ?
Britishers durung the time were not so harmful for the country as they used to do only business. Mughal were here to conquer and rulling the land, troublling indians. So Mughal was big threat than British.
It has been written in british records that if Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had alived 10 years more, we would have never ruled India.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj had become so powerful that in just two years he conqured south India.
Aurangzeb did not dare to come to Maharashtra until Maharaj was alived. When Maharaj passed away in 1680 the very next year he attack on Maharashtra.
