Thanks for the tips! My first time making dhal. The aroma of my granny's dhal is filling the air.

Candy girl let me tell u I didn’t even have most of those ingredients but I did have the basics that u normally add to dhal. And this is by far the best dhal I have ever made. I believe it had a lot to do with me soaking the split peas. Normally I just throw it just so hard in the pressure and my dhal taste like old.thank u so much for teaching me how to make dhal. I am one coolie gal that can make dhal now thanks to you. Hahahaha
Yes hon sometimes the difference between a good dish and a great one is the preparation. Prepping ahead of time is so underrated. I'm glad your dhal turned out successful. You're welcome 😊
Looks so yummy haven’t made it in a while.
Thank you
Blessed morning to a wonderful and talented lady ... And your way works for me ... I tried the fry bake with cinnamon... Lol . Omg ... I actually like mine hollow ... And I got 15 . Thank you again ... Glam cook ...

This dhal looks amazing. ❤️❤️❤️👍🙏
Hi Candy that's how I season my dhal but as soon as I chunkay I put the lid on at once and leave it for a few minutes that's how my mum taught me 😊
Yes I do that sometimes but recently I realized that I was doing it to avoid the oil spilling which rarely happens so I don't make it a habit anymore.
This looks delicious Candy I have never had this one before if I did I don’t remember but it does look absolutely yummy🙏🥰🍋
It's a guyanese thing. Very delicious thank you.

Are you in Canada? 🇨🇦🇨🇦The West Indian stores have it.
Hi Candy!
Thank you so much for this video. You are truly AMAZING!
Quick Question:
Can I use this exact recipe and exact measurements to make the dhall in a Pressure Cooker instead of a pot?
Or would that have to be a separate video with adjusted measurements and timing?
I imagine it would cook faster in a pressure cooker, right?
I have the old school kind (the silver one with the black handle and whistle on top)
Hi Krystal. You can add all the ingredients to a pressure pot and pressure it. Except for the garlic and geera at the end
@@candythaglamcook Ok great, thank you! Do you know about how long it would take to pressure?
I am drooling 🤤
🤗
Candy, it is so nice to hear you speak only ib Guyana
I always speak guyanese I just speak English so people can understand me. I have viewers from other parts of the world so I'm catering to everyone.
Good Friday meal.
That is how you should always express yourself when cooking your kind of food. This is the continuation of my first paragraph.
😂😂
Yummy
What is in your green seasoning?
Thank you. This looks great. What is that mushroom seasoning and where do you get it?
Check Amazon or Asian grocery store
Hey, what do you put in your green seasoning?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
What is mashroom seasoning
You said you don't use salt! Is season salt not salt?
It's not plain salt. Seasoned salt has flavors added to it.
😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋😋❤
Looks a lot like Dal Tadka.
Nice to know .
Lol.i am not judging you hun but no salt frist time here that 😊
The seasonings I used has salt in them so no need for salt. I don't like plain salt unless it's combined with something else that's why I don't use salt in my recipes unless I'm baking.
Hi, how are you? I want to seek refuge or work in Europe
Pour me a cup chef i coming
Why do people say doll? Regardless if you speak proper English or not its pronounced as dal not dol
