  • After being diagnosed with psoriatic arthritis in April 2023 I wanted to share what the positives I've drawn from the experience. It hasn't been easy and at times the level of mental challenge has felt unmanageable but on flip side there is once positive i can draw on. It's made me stronger mentally. It's allowed me to be more grateful and appreciate life more in general now I'm suffering with minimal pain with the help of medication I feel that I'm a better person from every perspective.
    As always if you have any thoughts or questions please leave in the comments
    Peace and Love
    Welcome to my channel Lifting out of the Lows where I share and document my experience with mental health, depression and bipolar cyclothymia and also psoriatic arthritis. I hope from sharing these videos and my experiences I'm able to help people along their own journey and make it somewhat easier (if that's possible) as I talk about things such as:
    * How to stop feeling depressed
    * My experience with mental health
    * How to stop feeling anxious
    * How to improve your mental health
    * My journey through life
    * How to take action
    * How to be happier in life
    * How to build a strong mind
    * How to deal with the challenges life throws at you
    I haven't got it all figured out, far from it. We're all on a journey that one never stops learning from but by creating these videos my aim is to help people and start more of a conversation around mental health. If you like the videos like, share and all the rest as the louder the message I'm sure the more people will benefit

    I’m really glad I found this channel. I’d like to meet you brother if you ever happen to come to Norwich haha. It’s nice to see another man of my ages dealing with this situation strongly. I felt like a little bitch tbh at times. But I can completely relate to this. I’ve suffered a lot with my mental health. Was an alchie for 15 years because of it. Now I feel a lot better and grateful for my situation, pain free just about. Everyday is a blessing

    I watched my first video from your Chanel about a month ago when looking for info on methotrexate after delaying starting it by six months.
    My pain and walking was getting worse , I was also doing stairs one at a time . Your advice on starting it and talking about being able to walk better made my mind up. I’m due my fourth dose tonight and I’ve noticed a improvement in my walking and pain the past few weeks. I’m around the same age as you … we’re in the prime of our life !
    Thanks for making your videos and helping others . All the best onwards and upwards 💪👍

    Yes! Yes! Yes! I wonder sometimes if shit like this has happened to us for a greater reason.it seems that so many of us struck down with this fking awful condition have ensured so much already,got through it,then challenged with the next battle.ive only in the last couple of weeks(became I'll in September last year) had this epiphany that this has all happened for a reason,a good reason!!! I'm saying this now whilst my pain is 75% less then it has been for months,and I truly hope I'm strong enough to have this more positive/spiritual mindset if /when pain starts creeping back up again.listen...they don't call us warriors for nothing💛💛💛

    Thank you. Been diagnosed with PSA myself about 5 months ago. Felt like a crippled person before the diagnosis and subsequent doses of steroids injections and now methotrexate: feel better now but can't shake off some of the swelling entirely yet. Really appreciate your vids. Please keep up the good work.

      Thanks for the comment! It makes me happy to know I’m helping other along their journey because it’s a tough one to say the least. I hope you find some resolve with my methotrexate. Stay well!

    Wow, you’re so realistic. You don’t beautify this crap but stating real facts about it. Being in pain, diagnosed with this in best age, feel like old lady when going downstairs that is all so depressing but you are right, there is a reason why it happened, suffering helps our resilience which is really under question nowadays. Great motivational speaker! I’m in first months still in acceptance phase. Cheers

    Hello mate found your channel been trying carnivore diet for months was getting results then I went out for a birthday meal had meatballs in a spicy sauce and my ankle, toe and more fingers swelled up in pain so Ive decided to take the methotrexate I was subscribed few months back. I know the tablets are immune suppressant I was wondering if you took the covid and flu vaccine offered? Debating just to get the flu vaccine as I knew someone that passed away after covid vaccine

    Hello, I've watched the video when you done your hair transplant while having psoriasis
    I have mild scalp psoriasis and a receding hairline and thinking about a hair transplant,, does it work with scalp psoriasis? or the psoriasis will attack the newly transplanted follicles and cause the procedure to fail?? I hope you reply to my comment as it has been a big concern for me

      For me it was fine but I started biologics shortly after the transplant which completely eased the psoriasis after a few weeks. From my experience and what I understand you can get the transplant with scalp psoriasis. Get a consultation from some professionals and see what they say but for me it was fine but you have to really be disciplined to not scratch your head or pick at it at all otherwise that will damage the transplant
