i bought a second-hand vintage raglan sleeve coat for $60 to try out the look. Wore it for two years and loved it, so I bought the De Bonne Facture Grandad coat in Forest Green, and it is one of my favorite articles of clothing.
I appreciate this video very much, as I was watching it piqued my curiosity, I have a few vintage overcoats, and was wondering if any were raglan-style overcoats. I discovered indeed I do, in fact, I was about to give it away because I felt it was too long, it draped over my knees and I didn't want to have it altered. The state I live in is notorious for its chilly cold winters, so I wore it and was amazed at the warmth it provided, the manufacturer of the coat is Haggar it is in a light brown herringbone pattern with leather collar belted waist and matching belt straps on the sleeves thanks for sharing the video!
Love the raglan sleeve and just got my first Private White and very impressed! I’missed getting the same model in camel but watching for it. It’s a meaty coat.
I'm a big fan of the Stan - Brown Fleck Tweed Car Coat by Wax London. I tend to look a bit better in the brown tones than the grey haha. Great video! Also, for a very cheap option, Uniqlo has a very affordable entry level car coat.
I purchased my Reglan coat from Todd Snyder, although I didn’t like the not 💯% wool composition it’s still a great coat and bought it at a significant discount so everything evens up.
Great introducing yourself and first explanations BUT wouldn’t it have been far better using your voice in the background and have the full screen showing more detail of these garments….?? Cannot see one pattern of any of these coats…?? Just a thought….

I’m a huge fan of the brown ones too! Great shout on the Uniqlo coat also 🙌🏻
Would also recommend De Bonne Facture, MotivMFG, and Still By Hand!
That grandad by De Bonne Facture is very cool
🙌🏻
Any chance of a video on Christmas work dinner party outfits please? Mine is next week and I need inspiration!!
my faves are either the private white for the weigh of the fabric or the berg&berg for the colours and shape
I’d add Magee and Cordings as solid choices.
In London now where should I go for a herringbone coat?
Great video thanks
Drakes raglan ended up
For £200 at Selfridges sale
Can you put the list of the brands in the index? Thanks
Just added 👍🏻
It's defintely more like the Private White coat - a very close up inspection of the fabric of the PW vs the Valstar confirms this.
Great work!🕵️♂️

John Simons have a lot of Raglan overcoats, with different patterns/lengths, and not that expensive.
