- Everyone knows Gucci are synonymous with loafers but what about some other brands that are just as historic and make some unreal footwear?!

Love the content mate. Maybe think about putting links to the items/brands that you mention in the description. Most of the time it's fine to google it, but sometimes it's hard to make out the names and is a pain to look up.
Great list! I have loafers from Septième Largeur and CNES that I adore. J Fitzpatrick also makes amazing loafers although I don't yet own any.
Looking forward to this haha I've literally been on the fence whether to buy the Baudoin and Lange stride
I was looking at those too in the brown grain leather - they look really sleek. I went instead for the Gucci 1953 horse bit as they are currently on the Harrods website for £495 whereas they are £720 everywhere else
Perfect review, thank You for that …. Am a big fan of loafers 👌🏼
I got a pair of Loake suede ones and a pair of H G Bass. Super comfy.
Terrific list..how about Beckett and Simonon ? Awesome mentioning GH BASS..I still have a pair I purchased 30yrs ago..had several resoles .but the uppers are in out of tge box condition..
Thoughts on boat shoes my friend? Saw some morjas ones that looked niiice
Can't believe no-one has mentioned Magnanni.Beautiful shoes and good quality.
Wow, that’s a prompt reply! I’m up late here in California , working on Asia Pacific time. Thank you Luke! 👍🏻✌🏻
Thanks for watching!
@@LukeHodges You bet! 😊
I love me Santoni brown suede Carlo loafers. Purchased at Harrods in London during a business trip. Very comfortable and look great with jeans, linen trousers and khakis
Nice video, and helpful. Now subscribed.
Cheers Colin!
Thank you for the great video.. +1 on finding loafers for wider feet (US12). Have tried a lot the last weeks. Esp for black ones you need a buckle/horse bite or something to visually break the shoe.
Are you going to Pitti Uomo Luke? That would be great content.
Good stuff, mate, but I defy you to find both a more comfortable and affordable loafer than GEOX. I’m glad you included Bass Weejuns, as they’re classic, but everything else was pretty high end.
Looking forward to some advice for guys with wide feet. Just bought my first pair of loafers, chunky black Loafers from Vagabond. They are more for testing purposes though.
Horatio are my favourites, and i do love GH Bass
Love Horatio! Especially their social media imagery
Great video. Id on the green shirt you have?
Cheers! It’s From Aime Leon Dire
Do you prefer low-rise or high-rise jeans? I personally go for low.
Add Gucci Jordaan and Paolo Scafora. Among the ones you mentioned, GC. All day. Every day.
Some other brands worth considering:
Lower end: Berwick, Meermin, Horatio
Mid Range: Carmina
High End: John Lobb
Mid Range: Carmina is hit and miss with quality control, or at least they were for a few years. The finishing on the welt is inconsistent. I find the array of of last quite overwhelming and disconcerting. They don't really have 'main spirit' last, if it makes any sense
I find Loake Export Range and 1880 not that far from Carmina, and they are cheaper.
Crockett & Jones is overall better constructed and they have better leather compared to Carmina, their bench grade but especially their hand grade line.
Enzo Bonafe is absolutely fantastic but they are not sold as much as the brands above and thus it could be tricky to try them.
Antonio Meccariello is meant to be incredible too but I have never had the chance to try any. Perhaps other viewers have and can expand on this?
High End:John Lobb is a good shout but they are very conservative with their lasts. I assume that you meant John Lobb ready-to-wear? I must say that the City, Lopez and Philip are stunning. Very British, understated and great craftsmanship.
I really like what Gaziano & Girling offer, particularly when considering that they are the first shoemaker on Savile Row. They make very daring shoes with chiseled toes. You may hate the design but the quality of their leather and finishing is a cut from most brands, even in the higher end shoes band.
It is worth looking into Edward Green - quintessential British - with the iconic Dover and Piccadilly, St-Crispin and Paolo Scarafa.
That instrumental goes hard - can you share? Kindest
Pippo loafers by archibald london are impeccable
Love the shirt! Where is it from?
Thank you! It’s from Drake’s
Crockett and Jones ?
Are great!
As has been mentioned, it would be helpful to us if you’d kindly list & provide links to the items & brands featured in your video.
Coming up later on today 👍🏻 Having issues with posting current
Officine creative make awesome loafers

Carmina for me.

Beckett Simonon?…
Now... what are the best no-show socks for loafers?
No Alden? LHS/just about everything
Just selection of some I like currently. Alden are always a great shout
Anytime Grant Stone or Blackstock & Weber is missing I know a list will be off
