this game is such a gem. I like the gameplay, and cute visuals, but there’s something special about the OST which makes it a really memorable experience. bouncy, immensely fun but also with a undertone of melancholy or something. maybe the combination of the fast drum kits with the slow melody lines. anyways yes, my fav from the ps2 era
Ape escape 3 is in my Top 5 PS2 games. I remember buying this game 1 week after launch after the money of my 1st part-time Job. This game have a special place in my heart. I'm still hoping for Ape escape 4
Came to this video bc ive been playing ape escape again recently! :D I love this game so much, i have rly fun memories with this game as a kid and i still have fun today playing it. I wish someday we could have ape escape 4
This game was also memorable for me because I played it in Sony Building in Japan, leading me to hotly request it from my mom when we got back home. Love it to bits.
You have 17k subs and this video doesnt even have 1000 views? Sad. I just got done a playthrough of this game. This is my favorite gaming franchise and the only one I still play. Thank you for reviewing
let's also not forget that Sayaka's seiyuu is Nonaka Ai, the voice of Sakura Kyouko from Madoka Magica, she is shipped with another character also named Sayaka in the Madoka franchise, Miki Sayaka voiced by Kitamura Eri.
I guess my favorite stage is the snow one (the one with the Titanic spoof), despite the occasional ice physics, because of the nice BGM and probably also because we don't have snow over here where I live so I enjoy it when I see it.
I just started playing Ape Escape recently casue I was looking for more 3D platformers to play. I got through the trilogy and loved em. Ape Escape 3 is my favorite by far. Its one of the most upbeat and positive feeling platformers I've played that was Kirby.
I use the redeemable codes in this game too, for secret monkeys, and use all morphs at the beginning of the game. And i made like 30 user files to play this game many times.
I am so glad to see that there are more people that can enjoy this hidden gem of a franchise and more specifically THIS GAME, how I wish to have found this video sooner thank you soo much for it. After watching it I was wondering how did you get your footage? I really want to play the game again now after so long. If you used an emulator and if it's possible (if not it's fine :D) could you give me the video settings you used? it looks sooo much better in your video than when I played on the original ps2. I will be looking forward to your content now :)
My fave level is actually the toy land one... Very whimsical... But i will be honest, platforming is not a game for me. Im impatient and have bad hand eye coordination. Haha but Ape Escape 3 clearly make it easier for me
I have a feeling Mesal Gear Solid is one of the reasons why Ape Escape 3 is not on ps3 or ps4, despite Ape Escape 2 being available in the playstation store. It's one thing to re-release a game your own studio created, but to license the MGS stuff again would have cost them money, and despite Ape Escape 3 being an amazing game, it was never super popular so Sony probably sees no value in it
My favorite morph is the Cyber Ace/Getchuman, especially Sayaka's because it screams magical girl. And to me this the most OP morph in the game, and i fully mastered using the Cyber Ace even i only recently started playing this game a few years ago. That is why i go to the redeem codes menu use the morph code to unlock all morphs before doing it canonically, so that i could just keep using the Cyber Ace and Dragon Kungfu fighter, before they were even unlocked.
There is a way to play all the morphs before you canonically unlock them, just go to the ape escape wiki, go to Ape Escape 3 page, and then head all the way down to the codes section, and the last code is the one you want. To access the codes, you have to press the top 4 buttons on the controller, and press the start button at the same time, and it should bring you to the secret password menu. If you are playing JP you have to type all codes in hiragana.
I love the Ape Escape series, I have done since the original game in 1999. Whilst I liked the third game, I didn't think that it was as good as the first two. Whilst it had the charm of the series, it didn't really do much to change or innovate, and the writing felt a bit too childish in most areas. It was essentially a repeat of Ape Escape 2. I still love playing it, however
Kinda late to the party, but still, this is a great video that you've made. I've always had such fond memories of playing this game on a PS2 demo disc and eventually buying the full game just to play the whole thing. Looking back at it, it's always one of the greatest PS2 games i've ever played. Right alongside with Sly 2: Band of Thieves. Once i get my own Xbox Series S and get the emulators to work on it, i'll be replaying this game again just to have fun with it.😉
I love this game. My absolute favorite PS2 game.
Average ape escape enjoyer
Me too

Thanks so much for showing some love to AE3! Possibly my favorite 3D platformer of all-time
Oh man, I loved this game when I was a kid, there was a certain charm to the janky controls :P
Yeah for sure. The controls were pretty difficult as a kid but now it seems fine.
I will still wait for the announcement cause I'm still loyal
One day...
so glad I stumbled upon this video, definitely makes me want to play Ape Escape again.

Ape Escape 3 was such a gem. We desperately need a remake or a sequel

13:09 "Did you know that apes live in the sea?"
Yeah...
... they're called _sea monkeys._

I miss when games did jank controls but it worked. Like God Hand
