Episode 19 of the Pound of Cure Weight Loss podcast is titled,
Zepbound Prime because in our Economics of Obesity segment, we talk about the new
partnership between Lilly Pharmacy and Amazon Pharmacy. Ideally, this partnership will
help lower drug costs, make Zepbound more available to patients, and make using the
coupons easier. Tune in for more on how this all works.
Our In the News segment focuses on what weight lifting does to your body and your mind.
It’s also an amazing tool for stress, depression, and sleep - all things that can make or
break your weight loss goals.
In our Patient Story, we talk to Lori who came to me for Gastric Bypass surgery. She lost a
lot of weight and became one of the peer leaders of our nutrition program. Her class is really
popular because she is able to meet people where they are in their journey.
Zoe offers a few tips on how to create an effective sleeping environment and why it’s so
important in our nutrition segment. And we answer our listener's questions including can you
get SIBO from bariatric surgery, do we prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications and our
thoughts on Monkfruit sweeteners.

Informative session. I'm struggling with regain since covid. I've tried weight loss drugs, but it's incredibly difficult to find. I'm looking forward to your program. Arthritis and fibromyalgia make movement/ exercise painful. Thank you for what you're doing to help everyone facing weight issues. It's not as simple as "eat less move more."
There are compounding pharmacies in the US that are regulated.
We'll discuss this in-depth on a future episode of The Pound of Cure Weight Loss podcast!

I heard Zepbound is on back order now too from what I’ve heard. Your last podcast you said you were going to give us your reset plan. Is there a place I can get that. Thanks!
Not yet. We are still working on it. In the meantime, you can check out our current page on the Metabolic Reset Diet here: www.poundofcureweightloss.com/what-is-the-metabolic-reset-diet-and-how-do-i-get-there/
@@apoundofcure thank you!
The MRD is now available on the website. Just go to any page and wait about 30 seconds and a little chat box will appear and ask if you want a copy of the MRD.
@@apoundofcureawesome! Thanks I’ll go check it out :)
But the drug companies selling Zepbound for $1000 when it cost $5 to make is ridiculous! If they really wanted to help people they would decrease the price. And America is the only county that patents last for 20-30 years! It’s ridiculous and just there to make the drug companies money!
Yes, yes, yes! Pharma companies only want to make money, helping people is secondary. And, yes, patents should not last 17 years!
