      Have you looked into building a rocket mass heater or rocket stove? Some UA-cam videos here building one with concrete blocks. Just need kindling to heat that whole breakfast.

      @@gljay why go thru all that work? He cooked that whole breakfast with just a few briquettes!

    Carroll's Sausage is very good. Their Georgia Grown grass fed beef is awesome,too. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us.

    Any idea make and size of that vintage cast pan with the straight sides your using for the sausage. Never saw one like that, looks pretty neat. Thanks for another good cook.

      It's a 9 inch pan and the only mark is the #16 cast into the bottom and it is gate marked. They didn't use the numbers on spider skillets. Most pre-date cast iron wood stoves.

    • @ericwooden7304
      @ericwooden7304 6 років тому

      Oh I didn’t notice that was a spider skillet. I always saw you had one hanging on your “cast iron” trophy wall at home. I have a 12” spider and it also doesn’t have much for markings other that “12”.

    Oh Man! That's my kind of breakfast! You stuck in footage of walking through the woods after showing the plate of food on the table and all I could think of was 'his eggs are gettin' cold!' Darn good video. Thanks a lot.

    • @BackwoodsGourmetChannel

      This was not in chronological order. We needed a walk to burn off that breakfast.

    TIP: If you dont have a "4 in 1" or a spider skillet you can take aluminum foil and make 4 golfball sized balls that work well to keep your flat bottomed skillet off the coals.

    With the exception that it will be some locally smoked sausage your breakfast video will be the model for our Saturday breakfast .
    It might be a little colder than Georgia was but the fire will make all things right . 👍

That spotted horse!!! Never saw any quite like it! Must be worth a lot . Beautiful ! (More exclamation marks ! ) Thanks again for the beauty.

      @@BackwoodsGourmetChannel oh. Right. I usually don't have room for one. And I'm too much of a sissy to camp out in the cold with ice in the vicinity. I can tolerate almost anything when I camp except cold, grizzlies any certain spiders.

      If you splash a bit of water on the skillet, steam will help. Whether you cover or need your eggs to release.
