Davidson River is a nice campground and hard to get reservations there. I go mountain biking in that area. The mountain man breakfast is always a winner in the woods.
What? No camp biscuits too? That looked pretty good! I hope y'all can visit Asheville NC. And see the Biltmore House, during the Christmas season. I hear it is spectacular, and your wife would love it. Plus their wine is awesome. Good for warming up at camp!
If I forget to bring my dutch oven lid lifter, I could always find a good stick to make into a lifter. Sometimes you can get lucky and find one with 3 twigs grown straight out of it (one goes under the handle and 2 for the back feet).
I found this channel because I ran across a video of a man holding what I thought was a live squirrel, I am very thankful that caught my attention. I was not even looking for this type of channel, but I am glad that I found it. Since finding you just a few weeks ago I have become very interested in Dutch Oven cooking, so interested I took a trip to South Pittsburg, TN to the home of Lodge Cast Iron, just so I could figure out what all I am going to need and to get some prices. I just watched your prime rib Dutch Oven video, when I get ready I will one day have to try that. Thank you for introducing me to this style of cooking, your videos are great!
Take us with you fishn next time catch or not.... please 👀..... Those cold crisp mornings at camp can't be beat in my opinion and especially if there's a nice tasty hot breakfast like that.....A little dirt on the mushrooms won't hurt nobody....LOL YUMMMM....
I went offshore last weekend for the first time here in NE FL. Red snapper everywhere. Feds say we can't keep them because the endangered. Caught 40 with no GPS numbers and no local knowledge. Just used the stock chart off Navionics. It's a lie. Crappie are just starting to get into their winter patterns and a few guys are starting to get them big ol' St. Johns River slabs (2+ lbrs)
@@BackwoodsGourmetChannel I thought I heard game warden in gulf shores,AL say you can keep one red snapper if it’s more than 16” and between Friday through Monday or something like that. Anyone heard that?
Along with the wooden spoons and spats, I have started using the CORE brand, of silicone cooking utensils, sold at Bed, Bath & Beyond. They are non-scratch on cast iron 🍳, have a stiff back bone, long handle, very durable, and high heat resistance. Great for cast iron cooking. Plus, they are affordable! (& then you can use their nifty 20% off coupons, and grab a bunch, real cheap.)
That’s a classic mtn man breakfast for sure! Now you have done it!! Made me hungry😂😂 Camp food always Tastes so good!! Yawl have a great week ahead and Wishing you all A Very Merry Christmas!!! ✨🐪🐪🐪✝️
Some version of Mountain Man is always part of my camp trips and mine's never the same twice....lovin' the idea of adding the cream of mushroom soup...will have to try that! Keep 'em coming and keep making breakfast in beautiful places!
Mr Backwoods, I went out and bought me a number 10 lodge dutch oven and made my first chicken gravy and biscuits! Thanks to your recipe, it was the bomb! Thanks for the inspiration, my family loved it!
Excellent demonstration, Mr. Backwoods! I have used my #10 dutch oven to make this dish many times, and it is just as easy and delicious as you show! Cheers and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Mrs. Backwoods!
Great video. I remember the Dutch Oven table video. I was wondering where you were able to find the support for your table, It looks like the parts from a park's grill?
One time I lost one shoe at pine barrens, had to spend night in a parked truck and ate ketchup packets. In the morning my uncle took me home. Bada- Bing.
Just be glad she is eating your food. Don't cut her down on the air. You do awesome cooking but keep it on the down low. God Bless and take care. Be safe

You Have to Get a Patent on the Coal Shelf!
The two best places to eat? #1 in the woods while camping. #2 somewhere in the middle of the ocean on a long range fishing boat. Stay safe.
WoW
I don’t see Tabasco anywhere 🤷♂️
Being an outdoor dude, what do you carry for a pocket knife? Others chime in too! I'm a benchmade dude myself!
I carry the Leatherman Surge or Wave. Won't leave home without it.

I've got to get my family back out camping again, it's been several years..... But then I won't be able to fish as much.....
Teach them to fish, and you'll be fishing again!
