I had the exact same thing but underneath something I could not see. Used a smoke generator, found the leak, duct tape and fixed same way. I made the smoke generator with pickle jar, cheapest soldering iron from harbor freight, old rag, mineral oil, and old bicycle tire tube valve, and valve pump. Good to know there is something similar on other like Xbs.
So I am also getting an evap leak code and I looked and that same hose is cracked for me too. What part do I order to replace it? Sincerely, a girl who knows the bare minimum about car maintanence but is broke and wants to try to fix it myself.
Bring the broken one into a auto parts store they can match it up for you. I actually had the same diameter hose on hand so I used that and it worked like a charm. I think if you order the part it’s only $20 from rock auto
Was the code P0456? Been having same problem for months now. And I keep a small scan tool just like you to delete the code every time but it comes back in 2-3 weeks. I have notice a significant drop in MPGs. Will check for that hose thanks !
Was it chugging like it wasn't getting fire on one of the cylinders? I've replaced the plugs, coils and injectors now with the same issue still present.
No it was not chugging just kept getting the error code and the cars computer would shut off the VSC and the check engine light. The only thing I noticed was the fuel economy was not as good. So far the error code has not appeared since I found that leak in purge valve hose.
I think because the leak was at the bend in hose it was not always leaking. I bet if you have a constant leak you would have power loss and it feel as if not all cylinders are firing. Check all the hoses and the ones under car in the rear by gas tank.

My reader does not give # it came up as small EVAP leak, I believe. I have another vid for changing O2 sensor that could be your MPG issue.
@@MrJoystickboy thanks I'll be sure to watch it!

What was the code you were getting before you found the leak? Was it P0442 or something else?
Sorry don’t remember the # just remember it said small EVAP leak
@@MrJoystickboy That's ok. Thanks for getting back to me. It was probably the same code since P0442 also said small EVAP leak.
Thank you sir
So nice of you
So what was the part that was replaced? Thanks
The small hose at the top with the S shaped bend in it. Hose cracks over time in the bend causing EVAP leak.
thanks! you just saved me so much and money! ac works!
Glad it helped!
What's the hose part number ?
23827A should be $20
@@MrJoystickboy thanks!
