    Remember doing basic thing back in the 90s to put flames and tribal graphics in door panels and headliners.

    You do amazing work Sir. If I might ask, what is the wood backing board you use and how thick is it please? Thank you in advance.

      The backing board is MDF cardboard 3 mm thick approx.

    What is the sign - that indicates the use of the heat gun is needed??

    • @Cechaflo
      @Cechaflo  10 місяців тому +1

      It could be a heat gun or a hair dryer. Just enough heat (as if the vinyl would be under the sun rays of a sunny day) to soften the material to make the sewn line get into the crevice under.

    What size of the brick/ block? What is the space between the brick/blocks?

    • @Cechaflo
      @Cechaflo  11 місяців тому +2

      The space between the bricks is 6 mm letting the vinyl 6mm thick (both sides) inside the crevice.
      The blocks (Eva foam padding) of this sample are 3 cm by 8 cm. The final outcome after sewing is blocks of 3.5 cm by 8 cm.
      These measures are optional according to the project we would have in mind, door panel, headboard, etc.

    What type foot on machine? What size of thread? What length of stitch?

    • @Cechaflo
      @Cechaflo  11 місяців тому +1

      The narrow presser foot is a customized one especially to run deep and along the lower channel. The polyester thread I used is 138 size. As the sample is small I made stitches 4 mm long.

    Hello, what kind of glue do you use and how long does it need to dry before use?

    • @Cechaflo
      @Cechaflo  11 місяців тому

      The white foam pieces were glued down to the thin cardboard with the regular upholstery yellow glue.ua-cam.com/video/2-FNpEDMw94/v-deo.html
      This time the the thin cardboard was glued down to the thick cardboard using a carpenter's glue. It takes at least 1 hour to dry.

      If we apply the yellow glue to both cardboard surfaces the drying process takes 10 minutes approx.
