The reason they made fake food (GMOs) is because during the great depression their we're food shortages so in order to feed people they made fake food but with it came many illnesses like balding, cancer, diabetes, HIV, and so on. 40% of farmers crops are destroyed each year by pesticides so we need fake food to feed people but it's also killing us

Hm, I can believe that. I've seen many studies done on all types of food that has proved it's being treated in ways that it shouldn't, but for the most part those studies were rare. Also you have to take into account that these illnesses could have been happening long ago too, but the medicine wasn't as advanced as it is now so they didn't even know about them, detected them or even know how to treat them. Just knowing about these illnesses that ppl carry today could be a factor that medicine has just advanced so much we can detect them and try to treat them, not necessarily a fact of the food being treated. That could be a correlation factor at most, not causal. As far as I know I haven't seen studies that have proven causality from treated food regarding these types of illnesses. That's my take on it. As for genes - from an evolutionary point of view - we have lost most of the hair on our bodies today because we simply just don't need it anymore. It used to serve purposes like protecting us from UV rays of the sun, wind, harsh environmental conditions etc, but nowadays it's not needed anymore so it was lost along the way of evolution.

More than anything else, I have wanted a beard since I was 6 years old. My mom has pictures I drew of myself then with full beards. I will be 55 in September, and I cannot grow a beard..never could.
My one year older brother had a thick beard in the 10th grade, and yes, he is bald now. I got the gray gene; my hair is pure white, and also my hair is as thick now as when I was a tenth grader.
For the past two years, I have taken testosterone injections twice a month since I had low T...there is absolutely no change at all in beard growth. Geesh!

I'm 21 years old, and I had little to no beard(only mustache and a little goatee) before using minoxidil, and I was able to grow a pretty decent one in about 4 months!
Then I think there must be some other factors going on. Green with envy here. I tried it for better than 6 months...nothing at all. I'd love to see a before and after.

I was first able to grow a beard when I was 25. I had a babyface up until I was 23, then it just came out of nowhere. It's still a little patchy but it's getting better and better every year. My dad couldn't grow a beard until he was in he's early 30s. So don't worry if you're in your early 20s and can't grow anything, you're not doomed yet.

Oh man that makes so much sense. My 70-something year old grandpa never grew hair on his cheeks, only a moustache. He still has a thick head of hair. My dad couldn't grow one either until his 30's, and he has the longest hair in the family.

I wanted one when I saw Stallone in "Nighthawks" when I was 16. I've always had a tough time growing one but the itching drives me up a wall and I shave it off soon enough. The mustache hasn't left my face for 26 years though, that stays.
I remember wanting one as a kid but now as an adult, I can't grow a full beard only a mustache & a goatee but shaving & trimming em got irritating. In a way I'm glad I don't have a full beard, a goatee is fine. Less work lol

I do grow hair that can grow long on my cheeks but they're thin and not really obvious. I heard you can use Androgel and Biotin (it's a vitamin B) for hair growing. I watched a video about a transgender female to male process and he can grow beard and chest hair.
Go and research minoxidil beard - I've used it to grow the connectors on my beard and thicken up a bit the cheeks (I have a strong goatee and decent mustache). It should help you, you just have to be patient with it - you will see improvements after few months and within a year you should have a totally different beard.
My dads side of the family has hella facial hair and my moms side is all smooth skin faces smh...I got my moms genes big mad

it's not thicker, it's because he has the accursed curly beard. A slight disruption in the beard flow will reshape it, because the hair strands will catch on to each other and act as structural support. So most likely he just brushed it into his jacket collar or something similar.

I've been growing a beard since high school. As an alpha male should.
I shave mine because I look like a homeless guy when it grows.
My job requires an absolute clean shaven face and a haircut short enough so that it cannot be grabbed. I wax my body because of my hobby which is competitive biking. Body hair creates wind drag that can slow you down and mess up turns when at high speeds of 75mph or more.

I’m 19 and can grow a perfectly balanced beard. However I was already worried about my hairline (got a V hairline, probably Norwood 2/2.5) and this video just made my anxiety worse...
I knew I would be able to grow a nice beard even when I was like 13. I had arm hair like an old man as a kid. Everyone was always confused over it. So I figured I'd be able to grow a nice beard too.

Im there with you. The skin on my face is stupid sensitive to razors. I can't use anything under 4 blades or I'm a bloody, dry and red mess. Not to mention they're expensive. All the effort and money for a bad time.

Me too. I'm 16 and I shave 3 times a week, and I hate it! And my skin is really sensitive which makes it even worse.

While genetics is what determines the ability to grow beard, I'm not giving up without a fight. Being in my mid 30s and having no luck of growing one, I've been using minoxidil for three months as I'm writing now and to my surprise my face is slowly being filled with some facial hair that never was there before, although it's still very light and thin, it's promising and I'm so excited about it! I love how it looks even with that little amount.
My dad did have facial hair so I guess I do have the gene, it's just that being East Asians, we're late bloomers in the department of beard. Had I not used minoxidil, I think I might have to wait until I'm in my 50s before I see any hair appearing.
Minox/Rogaine helps alot for people who typically can't grow beards or facial hair in general

To answer your last question, i remember my dad had a thick mustache back when he was an officer in the military, but im not sure wether he had or even made an attempt at a full beard. I personally am making that attempt and so far cant seem to escape the whole patchiness thing. Ive shaved like 8 times already in my life from my mother and sister convincing me that the beard will even out the more i shave (shows how little you can trust women when it comes to things like this) and its still kinda patchy, although a little fuller now that ive left it alone instead of shaving every 3-4 months. Well see how it goes in a few months. wish me luck guys!

CRISPR is only applicable to the unicellular stage. So yea only for your children through artificial insemination (which is still difficult but doable) assuming that the gene/geneweb is isolated and understood that directs beard growth.
Not wrong, but not entirely right. Some would love to be born with blue hair, or certain colored eyes but those aren't useful for the human race. It's just an entertainment thing.

I always wondered why my dad had a reseading hairline in his twenties and a thick beard and mustache, where I have full hair at 40 but my beard growth is limited to sideburns, goatee and mustache (that doesn't connect with goatee). I thought I would be bald by 30 and used to be concerned about it. Now he also has dark brown straight hair and mine is blonde, I guess I got my mom's side hair genes.

I disagree with his assertion that if you cannot grow a full beard by your twenties, you likely never will. My beard was pretty patchy in my early 20s, but now that I am almost 30, it grows in much thicker than it used to.
I can grow a pretty thick beard, which is great. I only decided to grow it in the past few years but I also hope I'm lucky and get to keep my hair. I'm 32 so far so good... but think it may be receding a bit. Never really kept track till now so I'll have to check pics in a few years and see. I think diet might also play a role though, I should really start eating better.
