I think that it's sad that people think that your a alcoholic or on drugs just because I'm homeless. I do neither, I just fell on hard times and couldn't bounce back. I'm going to be completely heartbroken and alone on Christmas and this is my first Christmas homeless 😢 I have no family and I doubt that any friends will ask me to come to their homes.😢

I’m not in a position where I can hand people money, and where I live every time I come out of the store there’s someone approaching me; sometimes I give them five bucks sometimes I give them half of my lunch that I just bought, but it’s so infrequent. It’s not doing a damn thing to help…there are billionaires in this country. The goodwill that would be spread would be way more valuable than the dollars that they lose; and they probably called themselves Christians just to cover their bets../or is it their ass’!

I treat homeless pppl like everybody else most homeless are not on streets for drugs most just fell victim to job loss and other factors. You will be surprised the homeless you meet some are well educated and are only on the streets bc of circumstance
His eyes break my heart. They are so full of pain. I hate the way homeless people are treated in this country. Compassion is needed so much these days. I just pray things get better for them. If I could, I'd help each of them.

There I was, with nothing due to Covid! I have nothing and I live in my car and I’m a 67 year old great grandma, (refusing to get my family involved in my homelessness ) the county case worker told me it would take 8 to 10 years before she could give me any help for an apartment. 🧐😢🥺 I was completely stunned😱😢 It’s truly sad at all about the money !!!

I've been helping a guy that's homeless he is the most kind person I have ever met. Some people ignore him and treats him like he's a bum but he's not a bum he loves to help people and he works odd jobs.

Many people DO get satisfaction paying bills, even if there are times when there is nothing left for much else except for maybe the bbq with friends and a beer.
I don't live in the US and I always thought it was the most advanced, wealthy country in the World. Now first thing I think of when someone mentions the US is the terrible homeless situation.
Always breaks my heart to see ppl suffering like this. As for the question-I treat EVERYONE the way I want to be treated. If I have a couple bucks to share, I will. If I have extra food, I share. I’ve also raised my daughters to treat ppl respectfully. You never know when then could be you.
The last part is so true I have said this all of my life. Just gave $40 out of my last $300 to a homeless husband and wife because I knew in two days I’d be homeless or could be. Now I am. But by the grace of God, I have the necessary things I need to have shelter, food, and enough money to get me to my first job then from there we’ll see. Right now I camp where I can tucked away but later I’ll pay for a camp site $45 a day for basic parking of ride and hookups for water and power. That’s all you need.

I’m kind especially to these people on the streets. I’ve met very young ones too. I give when I can especially these days when they make it too easy to go cashless. I always keep cash. I also say a prayer directly to them as I am driving. If I were on the streets, I would be crushed too. I know it. 😢😢😢

I have helped many people in my life but this guy is someone I wish would have crossed my path. Because this is the kind of person that really wanted and needed the help I could have offered him. He is living the same exact fear that drove me!
People like to complain about having to pay for bills when that's actually something to be thankful for. Changing my mindset to one of gratitude has shown me that i have bills because i have a home and all the comforts that come with that. I wish this gentleman all the best

I feel you, brother. I was there for 3 years, and longer intermittently. Only by sheer luck did I manage to find work without being housed, and eventually, also found love and a home with someone who is my whole world. Keep your head up, brother.💪

Many forget not all are able to consistently do honest work with their own hands and their savings can be depleted paying for ongoing chronic medical conditions, debts, etc and not all homeless people are drug addicts, criminals, huffers, self destructive, willingly homeless, or alcoholics, etc. God isn’t silent to the plight of those who are poor or in need and suffering, and He won’t turn a blind eye to those who turn their backs on the poor, sick, and homeless.

I am in Kenya. A country in the Easten part of the Continent of Africa. It boggles my mind seeing a blonde haired, blue eyed man, sitting on the streets, crying, because he has no roof over his head and feels humiliated because people are looking down on him, in what i was made to believe all my life, was the richest and greatest country in the world. How am I, here in Africa, perfectly comfortable in a cozy bed, Thanks to God for my blessings, which is viewed by the world as being plagued by poverty and a man in America, crying because he has no home? Was everything i grew up believing a lie? I feel so sad. I would let this man sleep rent free in my home and eat for free for the entirety of his life. Where have the Americans gone to? Why are they allowing this man to struggle like this? I thought America believed in All for one and One for all.

As someone who has completely lost hope and fighting to find it again, believe it or not, he has not given up. Instead of blaming himself, he's honest in saying HE ISNT A DEADBEAT ITS JUST HARD I made it all my fault, so I KNOW this man hasn't given up yet And I prey to God that his Child will find peace in this life. ❤❤❤
I love the homeless people in my community (Denver) you'd be surprised at how compassionate they are! I try to help whenever I can (sometimes just a few kind words or a heads up warning that the police are coming is enough)

I agree, how America treats it's poor, sick, and homeless is bullsh*t. We have more than enough money and resources but America breeds selfishness and lack of empathy.

I am in Kenya. A country in the Easten part of the Continent of Africa. It boggles my mind seeing a blonde haired, blue eyed man, sitting on the streets, crying, because he has no roof over his head and feels humiliated because people are looking down on him, in what i was made to believe all my life, was the richest and greatest country in the world. How am I, here in Africa, perfectly comfortable in a cozy bed, Thanks to God for my blessings, which is viewed by the world as being plagued by poverty and a man in America, crying because he has no home?
Was everything i grew up believing a lie? I feel so sad. I would let this man sleep rent free in my home and eat for free for the entirety of his life.
Where have the Americans gone to? Why are they allowing this man to struggle like this?
I thought America believed in All for one and One for all.

I love the homeless people in my community (Denver) you'd be surprised at how compassionate they are! I try to help whenever I can (sometimes just a few kind words or a heads up warning that the police are coming is enough)
