The cook had every right to be angry. If people kept interrupting me like that, I’d probably react way worse than he did.
That was a VERY low point on set. In my opinion, Kathi Lee Gifford is the most self-important and at the same time UNimportant person alive. And Hoda Whoever is one of the most unattractive people ever, with her fake Cheshire grin and whatever it is about her that makes my stomach turn. To have them both on at once, rudely and repeatedly interrupting lest they be forgotten if they don’t run their mouths for even two seconds (their fears are valid. Both are instantly forgettable). What a bad day for this chef! His dish looked great!
I'm really not surprised the cook lost his temper. I would too, if people continually spoke over me when I was trying to explain what I was doing!
Ms. Gifford is undoubtable one of the most spoiled, egotistical, and self-important people in media today. She believes she can do anything, talk to anyone any way she chooses, and is untouchable. And the little jabs she kept making after the fact, that just adds to the facts, that she believes she's better than anyone she comes across. She literally makes me sick to my stomach. Honestly, if that were me, I'd have said screw the TV exposure, told them to finish the disk themselves, since they seemed to be trying to interject their way into it anyhow, and left the set. No TV publicity is worth that type of arrogant behavior.

I've always thought (as well as HEARD) about Kathy Lee Gifford being a rather stuck up, degrading person, but after seeing this clip, and her little "quip" about his Sam's eyebrows, which she tried to play off as a joke, but reading her face, it's obvious she's lashing out being snarky toward him, for him practically being close to begging them to be quiet.. this just proves my views of Ms. Gifford.

That weatherman is right. I live in tornado country and we have idiots complain when local tv interrupts broadcasting for weather emergencies. Our local affiliates have later told viewers that having these ridiculous attitudes about a tv show being interrupted is indeed, pathetic. And I feel for that chef. Kathie Lee and Hoda (and Jenna, now) talk over people and have no idea when to shut up. Good for him for telling them to zip it.

They were fussing about missing 5 minutes of mind numbingly dumb television when other people were losing their homes, business and heaven forbid lives... It is sad how disgustingly selfish, oblivious and uncaring people can be...
Yeah I really don't blame the man for getting upset like that at all. The entitlement and non caring attitude of people gets to me too, and sometimes it becomes difficult to cover up. Unfortunately outbursts such as his are a waste of air, because those people complaining about missing out on wasting more of their lives away watching television won't listen or care anyways.
Jamie Simpson (Dayton weather anchor) had every right to be pissed. That night several tornadoes devastated several cities with the most destruction we’ve had in years. Some of which is still evident.
I don't really blame the cooking guy. Like them throwing question after question when he's trying to answer the questions but they keep talking over him. It's extremely annoying

I understand the feelings of the weatherman who was trying to save lives by reporting on a tornado, while some of his audience didn't want to hear it. This kind of thing has been around as long as electronic media. When Pearl Harbor was attacked on December 7, 1941, reporters broke into football games and other radio shows with the news. People were calling their local radio stations and complaining that they wanted to hear their favorite programs, not what one man called "all that war stuff."
And thus people once more prove just how selfish and self-centered they are. "Oh, it's not affecting ME directly, I want to hear my sports!" The human race has been and is becoming worse and worse every growing day. We wonder why there's so much negativity in the world today. Congratulations, mankind. You found your answer, right within yourselves.
@@CryingJester Exactly, but there was something else added to the mix when the attack on Pearl Harbor was announced. There's a story that an elderly man, calling the local radio station, said, "Ha! You got me with that Martian stunt. I had a hunch you'd try it again."

In 1953 a tornado struck where they never struck B4. A local radio station stayed on the air warning people saving a lot of lives that day. The guy who stayed on the air risked his life and was awarded a dinner in his honor and a huge reward. This tornado weather man was right for emphasizing how dangerous the situation was. If he saved just one Childs life that day it was worth it. JMHO.
I also get disgusted when hosts keep interrupting the guest, usually to show off how much the host thinks he or she knows.

Especially he had the responsibility to warn people. It was a huge event in Dayton. We had 15+ tornadoes that touched down and caused widespread damage. The one in my area was an F4 we do not usually have tornadoes that come in highly populated areas. These did. Mass destruction and only 1 death. People listened to all the TV network warnings! Good Job Simson!

I like how how even after the chef told Kathy lee to be quiet she still has to run that mouth. What an ego, like we can't go ten seconds without the glory of your voice.
It probably didn't help the girls were inebriated, and the cooking guy seemed like he may have been out of weed or something. I loved the show for those little human moments like that. Agreed too, Kathy has a mouth that can outrun Forrest Gump😆

Even I was like, “Can we just hear what he’s trying to say?” Trying to demonstrate something and having someone constantly interrupt you can be pretty frustrating.
As much as news stories can bother me because I don't always know if it's fake news/if it's just news clips, meteorologists have my total respect. Their jobs have to be so stressful and they always are SO together! I feel like their outbursts are fine and are basically the equivalent to us screaming into a pillow after a long day. ❤

I live in the area he was reporting on and I've always liked him as a meteorologist. It was an actual tornado and him going off on people for being so ignorant was gold!
His only mistake was checking opinions on social media. On any day on almost any topic you will find something that will annoy you.

I saw the same thing happen here (Georgia) during a massive series of storms. Had people complaining about their TV shows being interrupted by emergency weather breaks...to report about tornadoes actually on the ground and moving through the local area.

The tornado situation was very serious so I can understand why he blew his gasket. No one was injured or killed. We still call those the Memorial day tornadoes.

I lived through the Dayton tornado. I watched Jamie give his tirade live on a phone in my basement (we had lost power from the tornado). I can tell you that we were not upset by his outburst. It was entirely warranted.

Absolutely I remember it clearly and applaud him. Loved he had the passion and made his statement publicly. It was definitely important weather news and alot of ppl suffered, would have been worse if he hadn't covered the weather the way he did.
The weatherman getting mad at Carol Costello for the Katrina report - COMPLETELY justified losing it on her. She was the WORST when it came to constantly talking over people and interrupting. LET PEOPLE TALK! It was a great day when Carol Costello left CNN.

I live in the Dayton area. I remember that night very well. A lot of homes and businesses were damaged and even destroyed because of several tornadoes in the area.. Sorry not sorry, but The Bachelorette can wait.

I live in Dayton Oh. My sister called frantic saying, “it’s a Tornado! The weatherman is on tv yelling and everything! Get to safety!” He was pissed. And rightfully so! @10:47 mark
Especially he had the responsibility to warn people. It was a huge event in Dayton. We had 15+ tornadoes that touched down and caused widespread damage. The one in my area was an F4 we do not usually have tornadoes that come in highly populated areas. These did. Mass destruction and only 1 death. People listened to all the TV network warnings! Good Job Simson!

People should be careful to not lose their tempers, especially on live TV but I understand the poor weather men.
It's not a perfect science so they get yelled at if they get the forecast wrong, yelled at for bad weather or warnings, such a stressful job to have.

He was right for the pissed off response, unfortunately his arrest for the DUI (second time if I'm not mistaken) definitely took the wind out of his sails after that.
I remember when that alert came on. Those tornadoes were out of nowhere. I couldn't believe people were bitching! The next morning was a REAL solemn wake up call after those hit.

I'm proud of #8. My sister has seizures and let me tell ya. She has maybe at most 3 seizures a month. Compared to 1 to 2 a day. Cannabis really has changed her life. I've watched what it did for friends and family with cancer. They had an appetite. It helped with vomiting. It really makes a big difference.
