I got the cookbook for my husband for Christmas and he really likes it! I love Korean food but didn't know how to make it easily at home. Also, my husband can only eat chicken and pork, but beef seems to be more common in the Korean restaurants nearby us, so he's really happy to be able to make what he can eat at home. And I love using the bibimbap sauce on my rice dishes. He made the fire chicken and it was really delicious! We did cut down on the spice the second time around to suit our personal tastebuds more. Additionally, I love how you outlined all the ingredients you need in a really simple, straighforward way. Thank you!
Aaron and Claire should do a Q&A. Like is Aaron a chef, what does Claire do when she isn't a taste tester and how are their English so good etc. We need info on YT's cutests couple!!!!
This is the second time I've seen buldak today. That's a sign, right? I have soju in the pantry and a weekend ahead of me. Time to go shopping at the Asian market tomorrow!
I’m gonna be moving out and living on my own for the first time next week and this channel is going to be my food lifeline 😂😂. This recipe looks crazy good btw guys
Here are some living on your own first time food grocery tips. You can afford to buy plenty of beef if you buy a cheap roast and have it sliced at the store to your liking or you can do it at home and ration it out and freeze what you arent using at the time! Also keep eggs stocked!
I love you guys sooo much! Thanks for showing us super easy yummy food! I’ve cooked loads of your recipes and they are keeping me well fed and are really cheap! Perfect for me at uni! My friends are very jealous of my delicious food!
4:10 There is a big reason why it is important to cook the chicken this way first - maillard reaction. That's what makes a lot of stuff taste great. If you boil the chicken, you will never reach this level of flavor compared to grill / stir frying it. This also applies to meat you plan to place in soup. Just grill them until slightly brown before you put into the soup (remember to deglaze and scrape off all that good stuff left over from grilling on the pan).
I liked your technique-I made this tonight, put dry seasoning (gochugaro, salt pepper and light cornstarch. I seared off the chicken. then started rice cake (big batch) them all in with sauce then cheese. Added chive and shitake mushroom. Ib used honey as sweetener. The sear with cornstarch gave good Browning and chicken was juicy inside.
Since I started learning how to cook when the pandemic started, buldak has become probably my favorite comfort recipe to make for dinner! I started with Maangchi’s recipe back in April last year, but since then have been putting my own spin on it based on the ingredients I have available! Love that you’ve put out a buldak recipe, I’ll be trying it soon!
Claire, ur critique is so on point!! Even if I never try cooking these amazing dishes myself, I will definitely not be afraid to order them at a Korean restaurant cuz Aaron already explained exactly how it shud be cooked and U explained exactly how it shud taste! Thank u BOTH so much❣️🌟❣️
As someone who is married to a Korean, I really love this channel. I know Korean cooking always looks more complicated than it really is, but I love the simplicity of the presentation and how it takes otherwise daunting recipes and turns them into something more approachable. We've been combing through the list of videos to find one that I should make for my wife in a role reversal meal - any suggestions?? 불닭 would result in a near fatal code brown for me xD
Made this last night and found it superb! I loved it and really enjoyed. Just one regret: didn’t have any rice to go with and I missed it a lot but the buldak was really amazing! GRAZIE for another great and easy recipe!!
Hello from Melbourne Australia. We got a new local Asian market open near me. I'm so happy. Will cook like you now. Yaaaaaay!!! 🤗🍜🍥 Love you both. Great sense of humour 🤣
That looks spectacular, and now I am soooo hungry. I will never make it but i am going to find a Korean restaurant in my area that serves it Claire, how's the driving coming?
This is amazing. My husband loves everything korean chicken related! I'm going to make this for him to try. Can you please do a recipe for something like the Nene/Gami Snowing Chilli Chicken? We used to have it nearby us and my husband is obsessed with it but they took it out of their menu recently and he's so sad!
I love Korean food 😋 😍 and you make it so easy to make! You know, I saw Mark Wiens ate Galbi Jjim with cheese and rice cake and my mouth was watering the whole time 🤤😅 I want to know how to make it. So I was wondering if you could show us how to make it please? 🙏🏼☺️
I want to try this recipe but I only have coarse gochugaru (not spicy) and not the normal Korean chili pepper flakes, would that work in this recipe? Also, they look soo delicious but i don’t know if I get the same results
So happy to hear that! 😁🙌 Instead of oyster sauce, you can just go for regular soy sauce. It will be thinner than the oyster sauce, but still gonna be good, so no worries! 🤗
Yes, you can! 😁 But I do recommend checking the spicy level before you use it! (Check out the written recipe for more details! aaronandclaire.com/cheese-buldak-korean-fire-chicken-recipe/ )
I remember when I first made this with my wife and father-in-law... I suffered haha. Can you show us how to make more soups this fall??? Your. 잔치국수, 오뎅탕 and 부대찌개 videos are THE BEST!!!!
Aaron we gotta see you in a chef competition! I agree with the taste taster Claire the Fire Chicken should of been served with rice or a vegetable plate.

Buldak and Soju? they're match made in heaven!😍
You should! :)
Omg I love spicy food, but I can't do buldak! My husband absolutely LOVES it tho, so I have to check if it's in stock everytime I go to walmart
Aaron out here giving the people of the world a code brown.

@@AaronandClaire I'm going to try it anyway. I promise not to burn down my apartment flambeeing.

Lol! I think that's the grosses thing he's ever said.😆

"First, let's chop some green onion. But we don't need too much" he says, as he chops an entire bunch of onions. 😂
😂😂😂
More green onion, more delicious!
My favorite line 🤣🤣🤣 besides "Claire"
I feel like Claire's rating of 7/10 of spiciness will be the death of me 😂
You will be alright. Don't worry about it!!😍

I LOVE the extra story telling from Claire at the end and also the kkul-tip of serving buldak with rice balls! 😍I gotta try this 1 day ❤️

MAD RESPECT for Claire for having her priorities in order. ❤
I'm gonna try this. I usually make maangchis recipe that uses gochujaang. Curious how this one tastes
I knew that Claire would say that "this is my type of thing",
lol 🤣
Love the rice ball suggestion! Gonna make this tonight 🤩

Awesome. One of my favorite dishes.
😍
Green onion not the star of the show?
Guys, I think Aaron's been replaced. The real Aaron would never say this!
That blind date guy clearly couldn't handle his buldak 😂
Maybe🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Thank you for the recipe... I usually buy the noodles and throw away the ramen and just use the sauce... love you guys

Don't worry about it!! And If it's not so spicy as you expected, put some fresh chili in it!😍
@@AaronandClaire you saying “don’t worry about it” makes me feel so ease and relief 😂❤️ thank you!

Hi from Ireland 🇮🇪, your videos are so fun and easy and both of you are adorable. Can't wait to make this 💗☺
Can I just use 5 Tbsps. of Cheongyang Chili flakes and skip the regular?
Love your videos mate! Would Gochugaru powder be an ok substitute for flakes? Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Yes, you can! 😁 But I do recommend checking the spicy level before you use it! (Check out the written recipe for more details! aaronandclaire.com/cheese-buldak-korean-fire-chicken-recipe/ )

I wonder what it would be level 10 spicyness according to Claire’s. Please make this dish!!!
Please do a yuringi recipe! Hardly anybody knows about it, but it's really one of the most delicious chicken recipes out there.
Challenge accepted! 😁
I'm surprised that Claire didn't ask for a beer. You're slipping Aaron...
