@@AaronandClaire yea for real 😂💯 Totally a big fan of your content. Delicious but simple recipes and great sense of humour 😍! And Clair is super cute in every video 💯👏probably because we only see her when she is fed well 🤣
I really love your setup...lovely Aaron making these amazing dishes, all done with great humour ....but what stands out and makes you different is your taste tester...this isn't a schtick, i pay attention to her review and ALWAYS agree with Claire's request for beer...what a team
This is our absolute favorite. I love your variation on classic dish. Umma used to make this all the time for big gatherings. We beg her all the time for more. Now I can surprise here with “our” recipe. Thank you Aaron and Claire! 💜🌸🙇🏻♀️
My 92-year old dad is bugging the heck out of me to make this!! He was really interested, and then when Claire started eating it, he kept asking me if we can find a Korean restaurant that does it. There's not one nearby, so he wants me to try it with chicken and tofu.
So excited you made this recipe! I used to order this dish every time I went to the Korean/ Chinese restaurant in my hometown. They used toasted pine nuts instead of sesame seeds. I will be making this soon!
Tried this last night and it was a hit with the whole family. It took a while to cook as I was cooking for four, but it was worth it. The triple frying took forever but the chicken was so nice and crispy! Thanks for sharing this with us, Aaron and Claire!! 10/10
I made this in like 2012 from a recipe I found online and chicken was not crispy and sauce recipe was not the same as what I am used to. It's my favorite dish and I was so dissapointed with the result. I am so glad you put this recipe up cause I will definitely try this. By the way you are so hilarious 😆. Thanks for the laughter
I know right. Here is a tip.. I salt and pepper them ,then place them on a baking sheet between parchment paper , the place another baking sheet atop and weight it down with an heavy object and bake. I use these as fancy toppings when I have guest.
Tomorrow I'm going shopping for chicken.... and some green onion! Some how I'm buying a lot of green onions these days, I blame you Aaron! And I 'm going to take Claires up on adding more garlic! Thank you both, your videos are the high light of my day when ever you upload a new one!
What I love about watching your videos: You show what you are using and it helps me to find the products I need in Pyeongtaek. I wish I had found your videos sooner, it would have given me less stress the first time in a grocer in Korea.
Today I made ramen noodles from one of your previous videos Tomorrow is fried rice from another video Day after will be Korean Spicy Garlic Fried Chicken! Thank you for these videos, exposing and teaching me a whole new level of cooking!
@@AaronandClaire It was fantastic! Pork cooking skills could use some work but all part of the learning process ;) Clean bowls all around the house so it definitely passed!
Oh that looks so good. I’m positive I would love it. Hi Aaron and Claire. Love your videos. I’ve learned so many things from your channel and I’ve been cooking for almost 60 years. ❤️❤️
This was really good!! I was a chicken and only added 1 tbsp of hot chili oil and wish I added 2. I used 4 dried Mexican Chile Arbol pods and could of added a few more. I already had a quart of once fried chicken that was frozen and I fried again. I doubled the sauce and added a tbsp of cornstarch and wont do that again. I would like to triple the sauce some time. We like things with extra sauce. A lot of this is notes for me. This is going into my favorite file. Thanks again for this great recipe!
just made this kkanpungii not sure of texture not crispy in saure but delicious . I used chicken breast all I had on hand. But as Aaron always say 'Don't worry about it'
Save your skins and put them on a wire rack over a sheet pan in the oven at 350f or 175 C. for about 30 mins. Chicken fat will render out (save for cooking with later) and the skins will be nice and crunchy. Great to add to sandwiches or to add a nice crunchy texture over some dishes.
Hey Aaron and Claire! Hello from Berlin! Thanks for every recipe you are posting! It's great as usual! Do you plan to release someday a cook book? :-D I definitely would buy! Cheers!
Aaron - you need to make a video of Taste Tester making all her “UMMMMMMM” 🤤 happy sounds. Expression of food heaven 😆😆 she always make me smile so much. Best part of the video
Thank you, Aaron, for this recipe. It turned exactly the same as my fav Korean restaurant I used to frequent when I lived in anither city (not in Korea, here Korean restaurants are few and far between) a few years ago. It tasted soooo gooood!
I think it just depends on when you harvest them. We started growing green onions in our garden last year (UK) and they grow massive after a while and grow flowers. We had different batches a couple of months apart so we always have about three sizes of onion available. I think the big ones are great for cooking large meals, while the smaller thinner ones make a fantastic garnish! But in the stores here we also only have the small ones for sale.
Those bell peppers at the beginning looked like they were falling in love.😆 Definatly gonna try this one, I'm always looking for ways to boost the flavor of chicken.👍🏻😊
Omg. I really enjoy your recipes. Like the way you introduce the recipe. So funny and nice. I hope one day I can meet you both of course, if have the opportunity to go to Korea. My dream. God Bless you.
