There is absolutely no reason or logic as to why YT has been recommending these Michael Davis videos to me.... but I sure am glad they did. He's fantastic. Its so simple and all comes down to perfect timing and execution.
@burteriksson funny is subjective. We all have different humor. So you are wrong, if someone isnt funny to YOU, that doesnt make them automatically not a comedian. Lmao, you just got owned by a 13 year old. Also youtube tip, when you want to reply to someone just click the reply button under their comment, but if you're on mobile, click their comment.
@burteriksson the reason i assumed you didnt understand the concept of funny is because you said adam sandler, (the comedian millionaire) is unfunny. It seemed like you were saying he is unfunny in general. Ok i made several grammar errors? How is this relevant to our argument? this is youtube, you dont have to have great grammer when you are commenting under a youtube video. It seems like you still arent replying to me correctly, im not getting your replies in my notifications. Hence the reason i was a hour late to reply to you.
He had a pretty strong career, numerous television acts, performed for presidents. He was well known, just of a different era and before the ease of access of the internet.
Yeah, I was thinking of that too. I think they used to call it the "Lindsey Graham maneuver". At least, they did for a short while. Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity are both suing Lindsey for naming rights, last I heard.
He goes from being a genius comedian, to a goofy performer, to a goofy comic back to a talented performer and then a genius comedian in seamless transitions. I love this guy!
davis has said as much, that anyone can do the trick (with hard work of course) it's making the trick entertaining that sets you apart. davis and penn and teller have figured it out. with these guys the trick is almost secondary to the joke.
These keep popping up in my recommended, and I keep watching them. The only thing that bothers me is this guy's wikipedia page. He entertained for PRESIDENTS in the early 90s, and then just kinda disappeared....
The 80s and 90s are a long time ago. There aren't many 68 year old performers on TV any more. I think Michael spent several years in a vaudeville/cabaret/circus/restaurant place a bit like Cirque du Soleil, but many other TV performers of his era ended up on cruise ships, or in Vegas, if they didn't simply retire. He's still alive though and presumably can still juggle and tell jokes with his friends and family and maybe enjoy reading comments on UA-cam.
it's a great trick, my guess is this. notice the right hand holding the rod by the finger tips, the fake hand is concealed underneath his hand and in place. you can see the right hand stays fixed when he shows it. the slight of hand is removing his real hand, very quickly, and by raising the cloth it helps him make the move and conceal it. he does all of this with great skill of course.
I saw this when it originally aired. Saw it only one time. I remember this entire bit. Even the punch lines. but I can’t remember where I put my duffel bag last week!!
So great! I always have more respect for comedians who are funny without needing to use the crutch of being shocking, f bombs every other word, making people uncomfortable. Comedians should take note
I hate watching some magicians trying to woefully put comedy in their routine but davis is an awesome example of how to add comedy to your routine the right way
I can't believe how good he is ! great talent and properly funny. How did he not become famous? HE makes me laugh out loud and I'm a miserable English bastard in his 50's
Well, he was on the Tonight Show, and he performed for the President (Reagan). He was pretty well-known. But I’ve never seen a juggler become as famous as a singer or a comedian. Not sure why. If anyone could do it this guy could.
This guy is hilarious, but of the countless videos I’ve watched, it all seems to be one singular act with a slight rearrangement of the exact same jokes. Was this guy funny and famous for like 15 months?
I've only seen about 15 minutes of his comedy altogether, and there are several jokes that I've heard three separate times. They're funny but... Not a large arrangement of material.
There is absolutely no reason or logic as to why YT has been recommending these Michael Davis videos to me.... but I sure am glad they did. He's fantastic. Its so simple and all comes down to perfect timing and execution.
You watch one and then it just keeps coming. This guy is a riot!
Andrew_EP_Photography He also only seems to have one act
@@BikingVikingHH True.
Andrew_EP_Photography, your not the only one. It's been happening to me in the last week, as well as a friend of mine.
Same here but it’s good stuff!
I found myself smiling the whole way through...
Awesome work man
How did he actually do that thing where he threw the ball upwards behind the veil? Are one of his arms fake?
This guy is a comedic genius and has some serious skill too. What a combo
I wish there were more clips of him....
The good old days when people knew how to crack a joke without swearing and without using racist slurs.
@burteriksson ? wtf is adam sandler have to do with this

A very talented and funny man. Real entertainment.
copferthat No man can juggle a pair of balls like this man. In his mouth that is.
@@BikingVikingHH isn't that's how you move up the ladder in show business?
@@OdaVenom exactly
Yes.
Are you still alive?
Why wasn't he really a well-known performer these days? He's amazing.
cause hes old now
He's 68 now and younger generations want a different sort of entertainment.
@ice50mg I thought all the youngsters prefer Tide pods these days.
He had a pretty strong career, numerous television acts, performed for presidents. He was well known, just of a different era and before the ease of access of the internet.
@@AutPen38 That is some very recent news my friend, that’s a funny joke too. I don’t think it’s ever been said…
Wow, I was over here thinking that there was only one way you could make money by putting two balls in your mouth. Well done sir, Well done.
OMG!
XD
Yeah, I was thinking of that too.
I think they used to call it the "Lindsey Graham maneuver". At least, they did for a short while. Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity are both suing Lindsey for naming rights, last I heard.

the japanese made a game show contest with stacked boxes like this.
Quite tempting.
No profanity, mo violence, no lewdness, just class and comedy.
Im all about 'Mo Violence.
Ha Ha Ha! Typo. Thanks for the laugh. :)
@@KnobCRICK I was about to comment something along those lines, but I see you already did 2 years ago
There was a hint of lewdness, when he said it would hurt twice to swallow the ball though.
And talent!
I’ve only recently heard about this guy and I laughed like the good aul days, simple but funny delivered like a pro, great act
This guy is really good. Surprised and a touch disappointed I missed him first time round.
He goes from being a genius comedian, to a goofy performer, to a goofy comic back to a talented performer and then a genius comedian in seamless transitions. I love this guy!
This guy has got the repartee DOWN. The rest of the act is just a framework for his wit!
davis has said as much, that anyone can do the trick (with hard work of course) it's making the trick entertaining that sets you apart. davis and penn and teller have figured it out. with these guys the trick is almost secondary to the joke.

sorry for the late answer, but yeah, it seems odd, he was quite The Guy in his days, and then...

0:44 I can't even see him switch anything from the right hand other than it reclamping a little bit. My god.
Or it's clamped and there's a hole for his fingera? Notice he never lets go of right hand when waving it about

I know! I’ve watched it about five times over and I can barely see the transition
maybe its a glove and at 0:44 he pulls his hand out of the glove so thats why it moves
I saw this when it originally aired. Saw it only one time. I remember this entire bit. Even the punch lines. but I can’t remember where I put my duffel bag last week!!
This man needs to become a meme so he can be remembered forever
I remember seeing this first time in the 80s when I was in my 20s, I'm in my 50s now, still fall on the floor funny! The internet is wonderful!
is he somehow related to Benedict Cumberbatch ? :) he looks like sherlock homes' uncle or something ? ;)
Great comic timing and great juggling. Why have I not heard of this guy before?
I don't think I have ever seen such control over a performance before.
Why did Berneduct Candlebotch stop doin this...

Yep

Michael is the funniest most talented juggler ,could watch him for hours. 😉
