  • Recoil Control Like You Have Never Seen! Cadex Rifle in 308 Winchester. In this video I'm demonstrating how to almost eliminate felt recoil regardless of caliber. I demonstrate how to redirect the recoil directly to the ground instead of the shooter. This is Part 1 of this series with more to follow.
This is a perfect technique for free recoil target shooting and for when smaller or less experienced shooters are learning to shoot large calibers.
BTW... I call it vapor trail... that's a habit I have... you guys probably call it trace... sorry but I cant seem to break this habit.

Not sure why there’re negative comments. Especially for field use this is pretty creative

Most guys just don't get it. I think they assume its for any application and not specific situations, like F Class in grassy areas. It does not work well in sand or rocks.

I think they are also judging it off of setup time and mobility, lots of people will even complain if a bipod doesn’t set up fast enough but in the right circumstances this is definitely a great setup and even in rocky ground you could always try looping the strap around a rock and in sandy ground or even snow try using a snow anchor designed for tent guy lines.

@@imperialwhovian3461 I’m assuming those guys have never been attached to any observational capacity lol. Sit and watch is the name of the game

Fully agree, from what I’ve seen and even been told by people is basically if you can’t run and gun a setup then it’s impractical, which is stupid especially if you are as you stated basically just watching and covering a large area while not needed to be instantly mobile

My eldest brother was a very common visitor to the rifle range. His favorite caliber was 7mm and 308. In his later years he changed to the 223 because the recoil wasn't as harsh. Would have been interesting to hear his opinion of this set-up.

I hunt in Alaska and Dall sheep hunting is in rimrock country....I prefer to shoot off my pack....that is a consistent surface in soft mud shooting caribou or hard rock shooting Dall sheep.

Is that the regular .33 cal MX1 or do you have the Mini MX1 .30 cal? Trying to get an idea for size!

It's up to your own creativity. It works best is grassy areas with good soil or clay base. It works badly in sand or rocky places. As I stated in the video, I developed this specifically for F Class. If you can find ways to apply it in field conditions, that's great.

A buddy just got a scope with video recording on it. It also has night vision and thermal imaging... Cool huh... Anyway, with that scope I hope to post another video in the summer so the viewers can see what I see when behind the rifle.

So we’re gonna just throw out the rule of always loading your bipod lol

This is an application specific solution to a problem most shooters are too stupid to realize they have, 😉 You can preload your bipod when on the move and don't have time to set up for a single shot with low precision expectations. If you are shooting groups with high precision expectations - like F Class - this method is vastly superior.
