If you’re looking for good queer cinema I highly recommend Hedwig and the Angry Inch. It’s a movie about an East German Transexual woman who marries a GI, babysits a kid and that kid goes on to become Bowie with 90’s Garth Brooks level fame and the story is told as Hedwig and her band The Angry Inch are performing outside Mega Star’s shows to show people he screwed her over by stealing her identity and selling it to the masses.
The soundtrack is AMAZING and watching Hedwig come to terms with her demons makes for an entertaining watch and if you get the DVD it has a feature length making-of that is just as engaging and fascinating as the main feature.

To be fair, if sexual orientation was removed entirely then we'd be removing most romantic relationships in all movies. The romance genre (and J-Lo's career) would basically disappear, because nobody would ever be attracted to anyone else.

That’s the problem and the biggest red flag: Miss Headland gave us a spoken word rendition of “George Lucas Raped Our Childhood”/abridged version of “Star Wars Was Saved in the Edit”. She basically said George is apparently not the creator and that there are no rules and she can do what she wants.
I’m sorry but we don’t need any more of this: George is the creator whether you like it or not, whether you like HIM or not!
I mean the damage is already done if they’re going to stick to the sequel trilogy, preserving that in the canon: it’s a complete dead end and it negates the existence of most every character from the Galactic Civil War Era particularly Luke, which is a deal breaker.

Star Wars saved her life in the sense that it saved her career for the last few years in which she was paid for this job.
The reason the Dune movies were so good was because Warner Bros hired a director with actual experience making sci fi films. Disney just keeps hiring people off the street who are underqualified. Leslie Hedland has mostly only done romcoms with no experience in the science fiction genre.
Their hiring based of what the person identify as and to look diverse. Instead of hiring people that can actually do a good job.
She wanted to make Frozen meets Kill Bill... but no one was interested, so...

There was a comic printed a few years ago called "I'm not Starfire" and it is the peak of fanfiction. Seriously, google a picture of the author and then compare it with the MC on the cover of the comic. It's a perfect match. Somehow, that kind of thinking seems to have become the standard for writing in entertainment today. Poorly written fanfictions with huge production bugets that NEVER make any money. I don't get it.

Soon as I found out the author of that crap was involved in writing Monarch (the Godzilla show on AppleTV) it immediately made sense to me why the characters acted so damn stupid half the time.

If everyone follows your guide lines for what is allowed to be written and how it shall be written then by sheer quantity of bulk and lack of alternatives the public or the next generation shall read the propaganda and accept it as truth.
The issue of course is that the world has changed.
People can now interact with each other more. People can produce alternative content and spread it out to more people.
Even basic fans on UA-cam with low budgets can reproduce the love and wonder of Star Wars to remind us what the series actually is... And thus remind us why we rage despite the propaganda cult trying to claim they are doing nothing wrong.
Sweet Baby Inc is a prime example of it.
They literally told people to threaten their boss to hire them allowing them creative decision and direction for how the game is written and shown least the Entertainment Mafia deems their product something to be shunned and canceled.

I love how in the full trailer the Jedi says “close your eyes” and then seconds later they pan to the alien child who can’t close its eyes because it’s wearing a practical effect mask and not CGI. You can tell that whoever produced this show had no attention to detail. They could’ve at least CGI’d some eyelids in so the poor kid can blink and participate in the class exercise. 😂

The problem with the “directors” today, and I use the term loosely, is they make it a reflection of their personal “feels”.
One thing that I learned in art class was different styles, and genre of different styles of art. An artist can use different media, and styles to express their art. You can paint realism, or impressionistic, etc.
Movie directors need to work in the style and genre of the cannon of the movie they are making. It’s not theirs to change, they are there to capture the story and feel of what the writer envisioned.

When you see this hairstyle pop up in media, you know it was chosen by someone with very little experience with black people. My area is predominantly black, like over 80%, and I have literally NEVER met anyone with this hairstyle. There are just SO many other hairstyles that us black men actually wear. Even if you just wanted to restrict it to dread hairstyles, there are soooooo many to choose from. Yet its always this one.
Alteori, that dreads hairstyle became popular because of Killmonger out of Black Panther's first film (he had longer hair in the second). Ever since that Black Panther films success, we have started seeing the ethnic characters have this hair style as their only option or primary option everywhere.
Mmmm ok that makes sense but like damn. 3a-4c hair is so versatile to just portray it in that one style. But now seeing it on every dark skin character is almost funny.
My pet theory is that it's a convenient hairstyle as well - it can show off your game engine (rendering the individual locks looks pretty high fidelity), it's been pretty trendy since Black Panther 2, and is probably actually fairly easy to animate relative to how good it looks.
Compare that to say, a simple undercut or afro where it tends to look "static", or a long hairstyle which tends to look "flat" and weird on male characters. Go watch Geralts (Witcher 3) alternative long hairstyles and they tend to look pretty bland. I'm probably overthinking it 😂

I've been to Star Wars Celebration before, and the general vibe is one of excitement, so I can see why the crowd was reacting like they did without realizing the utter bullshit coming out of Leslie Hedlund's mouth.
That said, here's my two thoughts regarding "The Acolyte":
1) I don't hold much hope for this show, mainly because wherever they talk about the show, it's never about the show itself (and yes, I understand not wanting to give spoilers, but you can talk about it without giving spoilers). It's always about them being gay, feminist, etc. While I don't mind that stuff, I watch Star Wars (and other entertainment) to escape the grueling day to day bullshit, not continue to have it shoved in my face ALL.THE.DAMN.TIME.
2) the more I hear Leslie Hedlund talk, the more I don't like her as a person.

In the lore-crafting for the OT, apparently Jedi were envisioned as being more along the lines of "Knights" (hence the name) but, by the PT, Lucas had decided that they should be more like monks. So he had them be celibate and ascetic, etc.
