- Here is a video on what to check on your Ford with a easy fuel capless gas filler neck when you get a Check Fuel Fill Inlet warning on your dash and a check engine light with a P0457 evap system leak detected trouble code. In it I am using my Snap On Solus Ultra scan tool. To read and clear codes you can use any entry level scan tool.

You are my man!
I just bought this truck and I had that issue come up with the warning light and then yesterday it went into check engine
I got real nervous because I literally bought it within the last 48 hours …
I Research a lot of different versions of this concern but I really want to say yours is very simple and it fix my issue immediately
Thanks. That’s what UA-cam is for!
Thanks for the great comment, glad I could help and that it fixed your problem. How do you like the truck now that you've driven it a while?
Same on my 011 i’ve had a few Inlet warning for about two or three days and now my engine light was on when I woke up this morning
Thanks! Just followed the steps and resolved the fuel inlet message.
I gotta tell you charge a lot for simple things and you do everything so properly and you overcharge.
Thank you for the info ☘️
No problem. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Man your good. It work for me. Thanks
Thanks for the comment, I really enjoy hearing that my videos help people. Thanks for watching.
Great video THANKYOU 👍☘️
Thanks for the great information
No problem. Glad you found it helpful. Not every problem needs a lot of money to fix. Some are even free.
Good advice thanks
You're welcome. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Very helpful thanks a bunch !!
I do not think you should use high-pressure air into the gas tank only because it could cause static and that would not be good. Low pressure air maybe but not high pressure. But as far as everything else very helpful thank you.
Thanks so much for showing me what to do if fuel fill inlet comes back on what if I don't have compressed air at my house, can I still used W D 40 and a clean rage to clean and wipe around gas neck and gas door
Cleaning best as you can should hopefully work. Main thing you want to be careful of is not getting dirt into the system. Let me know how it works. Thanks for watching and commenting.
You the man.
Great info, thanks.
No problem. Thanks for watching.
Ok thanks
Can this still work if you don’t have the tool to clear the code after cleaning & doing everything you said in the video ?
Thnx!
Your welcome. Thanks for watching.
Dam your good.
Thanks for watching and the positive feedback.
Thank you bud
No problem. The tip is a quick little thing you can try before you have to take it to a shop.
Does this apply to the mustang as well? I have a 2019 with the same problem.
Yes, most of the Fords have the same system. Thanks for watching.
same. 2019 GT and mine came on for the first time ever
What other problems could it be if that is not the problem
Could also be a leak anywhere in the evap system. Hope you get your problem figured out. Let me know what you find. Thanks for watching.
Would this cause it to not start/have a really hard time starting up?
If your purge valve is stuck open, it can give you that warning also. Could be sucking gas vapors in engine when not supposed to. Let me know what you find.
Mine is every time I turn my vehicle on will it work for thay also ?
You can't go wrong with a little maintenance to start the troubleshooting process. Let me know how it works out for you. That warning can come on with any leak in the evap system. That's a lot of parts, seals, and lines. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Can you clear a code with out a scanning tool?
If you get forscan, a laptop, and a forscan obd2 connector, you don't need one
What diagnostic tool are you using?
I'm using the Snap-On Solus Ultra. I have since traded it in on a Snap-On Modis Edge
I'm getting the message with no code
Could be the same problem but not as big of a leak. Can't go wrong with checking the fuel fill Inlet. With most issues I always check maintenance items first. Let me know how it works out for you. Thank for watching.
Whats the name of the sprey?
It's called Rost Off. It's the WD40 equivalent from a company called Wurth.
I do a clear code ; hope don’t come again
A lot of the time I clear a code and see if it comes back before I start diagnosing.
@@shanersmechaniclife3164 perfect ; so if it’s back I should check what could be
In turned on after that. Lol
Well, that's not good. Hopefully, you get it figured out. Thanks for watching.
