  • WELCOME TO ANOTHER EPISODE OF PATTAY’S PERFORMANCE!
    Today in the Driveway we continue on with the Toro Power Clear 721. When she purchased the snowblower they sold her a gas can and pink bottle of Briggs and Stratton Stabilizer as well. Just grabbed her cash and sent her on her very way.
    Pretty Sh*tty if you ask me…Anyhow lets put this all together for her and many others like here.
    This video highlights a few options for us abd I just lay them out. Here on LI, winter is only 3 months long. 9 Months with fuel in the tank doesn't seem best to me. I use to drain them DRY. Due to Taryl's experiemnt I'm toying with the IDEA of storing wet. 1 SEAFOAM and 1 Stabil and not starting them up till November. I'm pro-active I don't wait till the last minute :)
    As teacher, educator and entertainer LOL, it FEELS REALLY GOOD when you guys and gals share that we have helped you. Thats all we ask…that is FREE but PRICELESS TO US!

    The trick is starting it every 2 months or so. In my opinion, that is what allows you to pull it out of storage and have it run fine without any carb work. On a snowblower with easy access remove the bowl, the fuel and the gas cap. Air won't hurt the gaskets and the needle won't get a ridge from fuel pushing up the float, the tank will dry. Only problem is dust cover it all with a plastic shopping bag and store the removed parts in the bag.

    I use premium gas only for small engines. Skipping doing carb cleans over and over again. Later...

      Every machine I sell has a full tank of gas. Of course it treated

    I read somewhere that Seafoam although has fuel stabilizer properties is more of a cleaner and you should still use a product like Starbrite Startron that's purpose is fuel stabilization. I use premium gas from Speedway in my cars and my machines. I also run my machines out of gas at the end of the season and have never had a problem. Also change the oil before each season of use.

      I run dual treated fuel as well. After seeing Taryl’s Experiment where seafoam still starts an engine after a year. Time to just run one stabilizer instead of 2

    End of season. Drain gas...run til dry. Change oil with mobil one. Pull spark pkug replace if needed. Squirter with oil can 10 shots of marvel mystery oil. Pull crank 5 times to coat cylinder wall. Return spark plug. Shoot 10 squrits into gas tank. Then all other maintenance

    Great info here. It’s crazy how many people don’t know this info and wonder why their mower or blower doesn’t work after sitting all winter long.

      Hey hey hey...job security. Just more upset that Kristen spent $800-$850 on machine, gas can and stabilizer and they sent her on her merry way. They just took her money and ran with it. Zero education to her. Next year she would have brought her non running machine for warranty and then they would deny warranty and charger her more money when they made NO effort to educate her when she was first there. They would have educated her after she paid her bill.

    I use ethanol free fuel, dual treat stabil/seafoam and try and start all equipment periodically through the year, so I know it's working before its season gets here, summer/mower, winter/snowblower and chainsaws & generator all year long.

      Thank you for sharing your regiment with us. How long is from season to season?
      I’m thinking about doing my own experiment...Seafoam in one machine and stabil in the other. Store em wet loaded with each product but not start until November. No immediate starts during the off season.

      @@pattayperformance Here in mid Missouri I mow/weedeat from about April to Oct and then use the snow blower from Dec through Feb. I keep the generator always ready because of our ice storms in the winter and our T-storm's spring, summer &, fall. I keep the chainsaws and polesaw going all year around maintaining a few acres of trees and cleaning up from the storms.

    I bought some Seafoam about a few weeks ago. My snowblower was surging and sprayed some carb cleaner around the carb. Works fine now but going to add some of that seafoam (recommended by a friend) to the tank in the new premium gas i bought. I think I will get some non ethanol gas from now on. It's local in my area on Long Island NY. BTW I picked up the seafoam in my local Walmart.

    • @pattayperformance
      @pattayperformance  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. ESPECIALLY as a fellow Long Islander. What town do you get has E-Free Gas from?
      Seafoam is the REAL DEAL! I’ve shown it a few times fixing NON-Running machines with NO Tools. I kinda ignored its stabilizer trait. After seeing an experiment with it now it’s hard to ignore. Think I might do my own experiment comparing Stabil vs Seafoam store them in 2 snowblowers and see which one fires up in November with out touching it. During the off season.
      Thanks for the view and comment, hopefully you subscribed to my channel 🦅🤙🏻🇺🇸🔧

      @@pattayperformance I haven't gotten it yet but i typed in "no ethanol gas near me"
      and got a list of a few. The closest one to me is a BP gas station on 402 Rosevale ave Ronkonkoma NY. Also Citgo 3200 Vets Hwy Bohemia NY. and one in Coram NY. Bohemia and Ronkomkoma are just about 3 miles away from me.

    Are you 100% sure the cam 2 is ethanol free? I'm just asking, because we have it here, 5 minutes from me, only place in the entire state of NJ and its in East Brunswick, yea how lucky right? Its 9.50 per gallon, at one time 7 bucks, but they make no claim that their isn't ethanol in it, just that its like 100 octane racing gas, so not totally sure. Do they let you put gas in yellow diesel containers in NY. It's illegal in NJ. Its a full service state, so gas attendant wont.
    That Toro 721e has far more balls than the old snow Commander, not as wide, but far more power. Agree?
    Now the oil changes, that wouldn't include any toro including 2 cycles too right?
    I don't spend that much on fuel. I just buy 87 and add stabil and be sure to run the carb dry. Spending an additional $7.25 per gallon just doesn't make it practical.

    • @pattayperformance
      @pattayperformance  3 роки тому

      Yes Cam2 is advertised as ethanol free.
      Here on Long Island as hard as it to believe. People here have some sort of common sense to pump their own gas. We live in a bougey town where you are not allowed to pump your own gas. Cuz ya know people don’t want to get It on their hands and their fancy town. They have never broken my chops for the yellow can when they pump it for me or when I do it myself when I’m out of town
