This is one of my favorite movies. Such great actors. It has everything too. Comedy, romance, suspense, and a little bit of action. Also makes me happy to share the same bday as Whoopi!
What's the deal with "4 million dollars" being the specific amount of money in a plot in movies of the late 80s and early 90s? Why 4 million? Besides here in "Ghost", it was also the amount they initially discovered to be in buried treasure in "City slickers 2" when Daniel Stern (Phil) keeps yelling to Billy Crystal (Mitch) "4 million dollars, Mitch!! 4 million dollsrs!!", and Mitch replies "A little louder Phil, some of the crack dealers didn't hear you". Lol. And 4 million was also the amount in "Twins" that Danny DeVito was going to recieve for delivering some fancy machine part to Houston. No wait, that one was 5 million dollars, wasn't it?
Whoopie was great in this movie & I loved her outfit here. I particularly like her line when she says to Patrick (Sam) in the street, "You don't expect me to give this cheque to a bunch of nuns". Her delivery was priceless. Also her expression when Lyal Ferguson says that she's withdrawing $4 million. Can U imagine being told that? She deserved the Oscar & she has appeared in other great movies Sister Act one of them. Sad to see a healthy Patrick Swayze here as a ghost but knowing now he is actually in the spirit world. RIP Patrick Swayze
One of the reasons this is such a fantastic movie is that everyone is brilliant in their roles, even minor characters like Fergusson, he acts just like the shy, socially awkward individual Sam describes him as as, and that look of TERROR on his face when Oda Mae suddenly lunges at him at 6:56 is the cherry on top

She added so much life, depth and dimension to a film that would have been far too dark and bleak without her in it! Patrick Swayze refused to be in this movie unless she was in it, and he was so right to insist that she was!
Yes, I think this and the Color Purple were her best roles.
Yeah, those two were great!
Demi? Not so much. 😝
Love Whoopie's suit--including the hat!!
She still cracks me up 😂😂😂
It would not of been such a great movie without the character OB❤
"Tens and Twenties" LMAO!!
I think better cashiers check
Kills me every time! Can you imagine someone counting out $4million in tens and twenties?! 🤣
Lmao! Well, probably the same answer I’d give them 😄
Me too
Funniest line in the whole film. Genius.
Ahahahah this is such a precious movie...
I get it
Some of my earliest memories are of this movie. I was born in 85 and it was my mom's favorite. ❤️
This movie is one of the best movies of all time.
The bank scene is one of the funniest scenes😂😂
The bank official's facial expressions crack me up! I believe her son ( last name Zucker) directed this film.
Oscar winning performance right there
Whoopi Goldberg MADE this movie. She really did, man. She was fucking brilliant!!!
Oh fuck yea!!!
I am here for Patrick Swayze but Whoopi brings the zest !
Think about how hard it was to keep a straight face for the two actors portraying the bank staff.
That deserves an award too 😂 😂
"Tens and twenties", 🤣😂🤣😂 That one gets me every time.
"I have a transfusion to make."
Love her! 😂😂😂
I was born in London in 83 I remember watching this with my mum when it came out on video or VHS lol many years ago now 💯 stay safe people 🙏
I can watch this film 10.000 times and i wont never tired of it
Thats good if not Whoopi and Patrick might sing Henry the 8th I am to u a thousand times
She looked so pretty here ❤️
"No, I'm here for my health!" I still die laughing at that line.
@@markbrown4039 In Italy she says: "No, I'm just here to make him a quick hello!!!!!!!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I don't Remember How many time I've watched this movie and still love it❤.
Really miss 90's movies
For sure one of the funiest performances all the times. She absolutely deserves the oscar! Cheers from brasil
I come back to this video every so often. I love this scene so much.
Bobby and Snooki! Makes me want to hear him say: "Snooki was busy for awhile on the Jersey Shore."
This is one of my favorite movies. Such great actors. It has everything too. Comedy, romance, suspense, and a little bit of action.
Also makes me happy to share the same bday as Whoopi!
Absolutely love this movie, absolute masterpiece
"FOUR MILLION DOLLARS..." Rotfl Whoopi heheheheheeeeeeeee XD.
And then she gave it to a nun's charity because the ghost looming over her shoulder wouldn't let her keep it
Say yes! Say yes!!
@@deathbykonami5487 "Now I know you don't think I'm gonna give 4 million dollars to a bunch of nuns!!"
@@Christrulesall2 lol. And then in front of the nuns, Whoopi saying "I WIIILLL!!!" with both an angry tone and forced smile at same time, lol
6:23 - i love how she puts her hand out for the cheque like a mesmerised toddler
Give an applaud too to the bank workers. Their facial expressions are truly real 😅
This is one of my most favorite rules Patrick swayze and ever played, RIP Patrick.
Yup DLK
“Why are you whispering?” 😂
That’s an excellent question.
“Do you have an appointment?”
“No. I’m here for my health”.😂😂😂
And before that she said I need to make a transfusion. So she’s not entirely wrong🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@jhomae, can you please explain the joke?
@@christinafrancis713 it was basically sarcasm. Obviously, had an appointment but the guard was asking the “obvious” and she was annoyed by that. So, she decided to state another random reason why she would be there that had absolutely nothing to do with financial purpose. LOL. I hope this explains well for you. Now, I want to watch this again because it’s so funny to me. LOL.
@@JhomasE thank you love! I understood now 😇
This is one of my favorite scenes!!

Still as great as ever in 2022. Fantastically written.
Can i keep this pen????
So randomly funny 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
This is me. I am pen and pencil bougie
Actually that was the only thing she got from the bank that day.
It lives in my brain rent free.
@@adorablegirl1559 lol right.
It’s the *”you* *know* *what* *I* *mean”* for me!!! 😂
My dad's favorite film😂 he always laughs at this scene no matter how many times he's seen it over the years
'' I know you don't think I'm giving that money to a bunch of nuns! '' from the next scene is my favourite line. 😅
Whoopi played a nun two years after this movie. 😇🙏⛪️🎵
Sister Act
@@milbertg.bongolo5342 Exactly.
WHEN SHE STARTS DUMPING HER WHOLE PURSE ON HIS DESK 😭😭😭😭🤣
This is such an amazing movie. I love how it combines a beautiful love story, humor that makes you laugh until you piss yourself, and a genuinely scary thriller.
Its incredible to have same dialogues but with different expressions and hold the audience attention through out...great chemistry
I absolutely loved Whoopi in this movie. She is able to transform into almost anyone. She is good.

One of many of my favourite childhood movies, this one makes me cry and I’m a grown ass man.
Amazing actress. Totally deserved the Oscar
This movie is great, no matter how many times I watch it , the tear come out
I love this scene it was so funny plus glad she closed the account so Carl can’t get the money glad Sam remembered everything Carl had on his account on the computer.
Well deserved Oscar. Whoopi at the top of her game LOL
3:01 - "QUIT POKING ME!"
😂😂😂
Popped up. Needed to rewatch it again!
