I'm coming a little late to the party (I can't believe it's more than 20 years since "Legally Blonde" first was showing in the theaters) but I just saw it a couple of weeks ago. What a great film! This is one of my favorite scenes.
And LB 2 was also very good. Watch it.

Nah, she said she was washing her hair, so it wouldn't have worked.
Only Chutney had been trapped in Elle's hesitation and was bored...her guard down and tripped herself by saying 'yes (like bored) in the shower WASHING MY HAIR'. BOOM! That's where Elle's brain woke up! She totally ensnared Chutney.

@1:59 - in a brilliant move by the director (and screen writer) the dog barks at that moment. This bark signals a turn of the tides, as the case goes from losing to winning at that very moment. Somehow the dog knew. In fact, I would even say that the dog was trying to communicate that moment of exoneration to Elle Woods. In fact, I'd even say that the dog was the brains in this partnership, which is why Elle takes it absolutely everywhere that she needs help.

Movie called Legally Blonde, vindicates blondes can be both beautiful AND intelligent. And Legally Blonde 2 was also very good. Creates awareness against lab's testing using animals while being a fun movie.

I’m so tired of people making the judge, the president, the queen or the smartest person - black/African American, just to offset the overwhelming white cast. It’s just so forced in my opinion. I mean, how is it not racist, when the very main reason they were picked for that role was the need for diversity, and their skin color? Society is weird. We try to fight racism by making choices based on skin color.

I don't think anyone thought too deep into such a minor role. Literally any actor in their late 40s up can be the judge in any show.
