Lol at how he just managed to claim authority over the whole class by writing his name on the chalkboard and having no physical attributes or a voice enforcing authority at all is hilarious. His peers were laughing and mocking him literally 2 seconds prior.
All you need to do is be confident and assert yourself. Most people will just assume the rest, because most people are actually quite complacent. For instance, if you put on a hard hat, wear a reflective vest, and set up some pylons, nobody will bat an eye if you park your vehicle pretty much wherever you please. Wear some coveralls with a name tag and carry a tool box, and people will let you into just about any building. Go door-to-door wearing a nice shirt and tie, carrying a clipboard, you can ask people all kinds of questions, and they'll probably answer them. As long as you act like you're "official" and look the part, people will just assume that you're legit without much thought.

I had this experience back in senior high school almost 20 years ago when one of the students in my 3D Graphics and Design class was better with the software than the teacher was, and that teacher was a qualified architect, however, he was from an earlier time before the prevalence of computers doing all the heavy lifting in design work, so whilst he knew all the rules associated with architecture, he could barely show us how to apply design theory using the technology we had in the room, so the talented student in our class would walk around and show people how to do everything.. He would smash out his own project work in record time, then spend the rest of the class doing the teacher's job.. Our teacher wasn't bad, and we learned a whole lot of other architecture related stuff from him, but sometimes the student is just better than the teacher at things..

I mean, I've seen what some teachers do. Its not too hard. My earth science teacher assigns questions right out of the book and its basically a full 2 pages per assignment. He does this 2-3x a week. Checks to see if you did the right number of questions, filled just about enough space, and gives 100%. I once wrote green eggs and ham on one of his assignments and he didn't notice.

Awkward moment when the student is actually doing far better than a teacher ever could!
@@Funkteon we're just living in a different era. We can't compare each other like that because if he was qualified in his time, doesn't mean your friend is qualified in that time and vice versa.

Honestly if a student actually managed to pull this off and teach proper classes, hell he should get instantly passed with highest grade.
That's like when a professor tells you "why don't you teach the class then" and you actually do better than him
I mean, I've seen what some teachers do. The whole story.
Being able to teach others is a strong indication of a student's level of mastery. Some schools even have assessments where they have to be able to teach a certain topic and receive a grade for it.
@@WestExplainsBest yea but I can teach any subject in a matter of 30 minutes of reading into it. You don't have to know everything, just be 2 lessons ahead of the class.
@@randominternetguy3537 True, but I have found getting students to verbalize an explanation really shines a light if they know something or not. Also, while some teachers do in fact use the method you described, many others use their years of experience to anticipate questions students will have, design relevant lessons, and ask appropriate questions that guide the inquiry process. I get some teachers are bad, but there are great teachers out there too.
@@WestExplainsBest im just saying the principal didn't say whether or not the kid was a good teacher. (Not like he would be able to tell anyway cuz of the garbage evaluation system for teachers). My point is that it's not hard to be a bad teacher.
