What’s happening in this Catch me if you can clip?
Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio) is pretending to be the french substitute teacher in his new highschool and even sends away the actual teacher. What’s Catch me if you can about?
Based on a true story, this classic movie directed by Steven Spielberg, tells the tale of Frank Abagnale Jr. (Leonardo DiCaprio), a young man who successfully managed by the age of 21 to con millions of dollars by pretending to be a Pan American World Airways pilot, a Georgia doctor, and a Louisiana parish prosecutor. Tracked for years by obsessed FBI Agent Carl Hanratty (Tom Hanks), the young mastermind was able to slip through his fingers multiple times, enjoying himself in the process. The con artist's foremost crime was check fraud which he carried out so expertly that by the end of the movie he gets recruited by the FBI to help them with check forgery cases.

I heard that last line in Christopher Walken's voice.
That is what i was thinking.
True that.
I'm the one thousand like!
Idk why but this is one of the funniest movie scenes to me. Just imagining a student holding a parent teacher conference, lecturing other students, he was so committed to the act that it seemed like he forgot he was acting
That's him for most.of the movie. He believed some of his cons.
I love when the dad and son make eye contact at the end and laugh. Honestly if this was my son, I'm not sure I would be able to be mad... it's clever, bold and crazy. He was able to pull this off for one week. He held a teacher-parent conference! He planned a class trip! It's honestly impressive. 😭💀
I'd be like "Don't do something like that again" but I'd still be noticeably impressed by my son for that
He probably wouldnt get caught if he didnt do those things

@Kevin San Mateo hey now this video on the american revolution from 1989 isnt outdated. My teacher said they watched the same one when he was in high school.
My thoughts exactly!
No matter how funny this is, gotta feel a bit bad for the old lady spending a bunch of money to travel a long distance just to be told she wasn't needed
Thats kinda representative of the direction the movie goes. By the end, his stunts get cooler and cooler, but more and more people get hurt.

Im pretty sure she got reimbursed for the expenses, travelling to the school, after they found out about the fake substitute teacher.
it cost me $5 to fill up my tank! how am I ever going to feed my family!?
Having worked at a substitute teacher, I can attest that he is both better qualified and doing a better job than many substitutes. Certainly doing a better job than it felt like teachers expected me to do.
yup he should be given the credentials and everything.
When I went to sub orientation they spent literal hours telling us "subs are more than glorified babysitters now!"
I get to the classroom and 9.5/10 times the instructions amount to "They have an assignment on Google classroom, just make sure they don't go all Lord of the Flies ."
@@Psykolord1989 Yep. As an aspiring teacher I sometimes e-mail the teacher in advance telling them I'd like to do a more engaging activity with the students, actually teach something. Sometimes they'll respond with "Awesome, we'll do something cool." Then I show up, "The students have an assignment in Google Classroom." For the most part I regard it as a successful day if by dismissal nobody is hurt and the classroom is not on fire (though probably a mess).
Can't call yourself a teacher unless you actually teach
@@justinthebeau2590 A lot of full-time classroom teachers would lose the title then. Come to think of it, the rather lousy (in pretty much every possible way) teacher I was observing in my teacher licensure program (which I have since abandoned) had his e-mail signature say "science facilitator" rather than "science teacher." Perhaps a degree of self-awareness? Though if he were really self aware of how bad he was and how miserable teaching had made him, he would have quit.

All you need to do is be confident and assert yourself. Most people will just assume the rest, because most people are actually quite complacent. For instance, if you put on a hard hat, wear a reflective vest, and set up some pylons, nobody will bat an eye if you park your vehicle pretty much wherever you please. Wear some coveralls with a name tag and carry a tool box, and people will let you into just about any building. Go door-to-door wearing a nice shirt and tie, carrying a clipboard, you can ask people all kinds of questions, and they'll probably answer them.
As long as you act like you're "official" and look the part, people will just assume that you're legit without much thought.

Awkward moment when the student is actually doing far better than a teacher ever could!
I had this experience back in senior high school almost 20 years ago when one of the students in my 3D Graphics and Design class was better with the software than the teacher was, and that teacher was a qualified architect, however, he was from an earlier time before the prevalence of computers doing all the heavy lifting in design work, so whilst he knew all the rules associated with architecture, he could barely show us how to apply design theory using the technology we had in the room, so the talented student in our class would walk around and show people how to do everything.. He would smash out his own project work in record time, then spend the rest of the class doing the teacher's job.. Our teacher wasn't bad, and we learned a whole lot of other architecture related stuff from him, but sometimes the student is just better than the teacher at things..

I don’t see what the problem here is principle, Jack over here is doing a finer job than 90% of your actual teachers who just show outdated videos while playing on their phones.
this movie is set in 1963
@@aeioouui general point still stands
@@drinkinggopnik9929 no other teachers are shown in the movie
@@drinkinggopnik9929 there were no "videos" in 1963
Except, he has no teaching license
I loved the moment when they laughed together😂❤
They should have gave us a glimpse of the conversation they had on the way home that would have been pure gold😂😂😂

Christoper Walken being LD’s dad is so fitting lol
He's the best!
Absolutely!
They had great onscreen chemistry. Would love to see them do another project together.
Lil Dicky??
Lamar davis
That smirk with the legend while walking with Walken
the mom: dissapointed
the dad: damnit if i could give you a gold medal i would
A golden locket?
Honestly, if my son went to that extent, gave homework, was planning a field trip, and the kids were learning, I'd ask the principal, "why don't you just hire him at this point?" I'd be proud lol
right? he's basically doing the teacher's job for free!
Not certified,no proper credentials, and parents of other kids would complain or sue the school district if an underage student was responsible for other underage students on a field trip... Too many possible issues with that to work. Knowing the content is only half the battle.

Love that pause at 0:34 like he's committing to the act and getting himself into character.
That "oh yes" at the beginning melted my heart

@@MessAlbin you will love it and more impressed me, this movie based on true story, yeah Frank Abagnale is real life fraudster
This student seems to be really good at pretending to be a substitute teacher. He should quit school and become an actor, I believe that he’ll win an Oscar someday
Yeah but that may take a while, idk why but just seems that's the case here.
Your both crazy, he looks like the kinda guy who'll snap one day and spend his time out in the frozen wilderness fighting bears and eating raw meat
He turns out to be working with the FBI
You guys are just kidding right?
@@tegnusem5767 What do you mean?
If I had a son who managed to convince an entire class of 20 plus people and gave out homework for the entire class I'd be impressed actually I might even tell the principal that I'm proud and they should nurture his natural ability
Yeah, but it is criminal behavior or at the very least fraudulent behavior and he played hookie from his classes. On the one hand great job son, but do not do that again. You will have to face at least a day of detention.
This secne alone shows the great acting skills and charm of Leonardo DiCaprio, 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💕💕💕💕💕
