It’s a refueling device. It’s long because helicopters have big spinning blades that chop shit up on the roof
Tube on Chinook is actually refueling probe.
Pitot tubes are much smaller and you can see them under the cockpit glass.
It can be refueled from other helicopter or usually KC-130 tanker plane.
yea but it's definitely longer than it should be
@@vildanlatypov8696 Nope, in EVALUATION OF THE PRODUCTION CH-47D ADVERSE
o WEATHER COCKPIT (AWC) AERIAL REFUELING SYSTEM it was determined that 29feet and 7inch(9m) probe was optimal length for safety.
It has to be that long because Chinook blades are 60feet long so 30ft to both direction. Almost identical length makes sure that the refueling hose doesn't struck the frontal blade that in normal operation is in angled downwards and only being 10ft off the ground.
@@Sarfanger I don't have warno to measure it or get reference from rotor blades or body of chinook itself, but it looks much shorter on the photos.
maybe game perspective differs from photos so it looks like shlong that bigger than chinook itself :)
@@vildanlatypov8696 Sadly I don't own Warno as well. But if the model is correct the fuel probe should end 5feet 11in(1.8m) before the blades looking at document.
Sadly there is no 3D from game at internet to check it out.
@@vildanlatypov8696 Nah, size depicted in game is perfectly accurate, yes it is that huge.
These photos man lol, keep up the grind!
That scream from your opponent at the end of the match 😂
Good game!
Thank you for playing 101st. It's my favourite division in terms of aesthetics. But I am not able to use it to its fullest yet because my play-style is too reliant on ATGM planes.
Also I think you can up-vet some of that inf.
Be carefull when using any air borne div bc they does not have that much staying power and they are very vulnerable to artyllery fire
Little fun fact: that tube on the Chinook was added after experiences in Cambodia. Turns out in an uneven terrain with lots of sightblockers both soviet and blufor helos would bypass one another at relatively close range; the tube was added for emergency ramming tactics.
It turned out the pilots were overly eager with the possibilities it offered. Upon contact with an enemy chopper they'd immediately go for a ram at a high speed, completely bypass their target and then crash, leading to unnecessary losses.
That's why it was removed from newer helos.
Does this game even have nato vs opfor matches???????
Another set of paid actors, quit at 9 minutes.... tut tut
Hi Razzman, I've seen your two last videos and I don't know if you know that you can configure the automatic sale of transports? In your general setting
You can save time with this :)
Enjoy 😊
I know, but I refuse to let Eugen play the game for me! ;)
@RazzmannWG I understand :) The Wargame habits where u need to control everything :D
@@RazzmannWG More like I'm so freakin lazy I refuse to take advantage of any of the quality of life features.
