Camping, Fishing & Hiking at Reesor Lake

Reesor Lake is located in Cypress Hills inter-provincial park. This is somewhat secluded area seemed like a nice place to camp...
We drove 4 hours to get to our camp spot, we were originally going to do some wild camping, but we got at the park a little late in the day so we decided to camp in the campground... We thought it would be empty because the whole ride there, there was no one around, even by the lake there was only 2 vehicles... but when we rolled up into the campground, we couldn't believe how many people were there. It was packed needless to say.
Regardless, we set up our tents. From there we went to the trail head to do a bit of hiking up the hill to get a good view of the area. It was pretty nice I would have to say.
From there we went to go do some fishing in the infamous Reesor Lake, where we didn't even get a bite. We definitely got skunked, as we didn't catch fish, we got our hooks stuck in the rocks, and I went in the water to try and save them... I got them out the first time, but the second time I almost fell in the water trying to get it unstuck, so we had to cut the line on that one.
Back to camp we go, we cooked up some smokies, beans and some noodle soup. We collected wood to start the fire but luckily the people camping beside us left and we got to keep their wood which was already cut for us! That saved us some time.
After supper, we did some exploration in the woods and walked along the river.
Once we were done that we headed back to camp to shoot some slingshots, where we had a little competition going on! 1st to hit 5 cans won... Spoiler Alert, I won lol.
After that we went to bed, woke up and packed our stuff and headed on out of there.
It was a good trip indeed... but the next one will be in the wilderness for sure.

Nice Video! Regarding the radio. If you look up on the Periodic table you will see that calcium is a metal. And since our bones are mostly calcium, you could say our skeleton is made of metal. Calcium is not a near as good as a conductor as other metals, like iron, copper, zinc, gold, etc, but it still has some conductivity. When your buddy put his hand near the radio, he in essence became an antenna. Using your body as an antenna can work if you have a remote car starter. If you open your mouth, put the car starter under and against your chin, you can sometimes start your car 10-25 meters sooner than if you didn't use that technique. Fun fact, eh? 😁
