Rest In Peace Brian. It’s terrible how many great people are taken from this world by drugs. Such kind innocent people who had the potential to do so much more than they had the time to do. Brian is one of those people who truly deserves the title of “the fifth beatle” 💙

A bit of feedback for you:
As it’s cold where I am, I’ve been throwing on your videos and stuffing my phone in my pocket instead of watching, so have been listening instead.
The way you pace your dialogue is perfect, and the lack of a countdown on the voiceover makes for a really cohesive and flowing narrative - as opposed to it feeling bullet pointed.
    Keep up the excellent work!!

The thing with The Beatles; they were the first for almost everything.. People make a big deal, how Brian messed up the merchandising.. That was not common then, not for bands.. When they stopped touring, they made videos to go with the songs. That became the standard later. The big business of baseball stadiums started with the Beatles. Sound systems, called PA's in those days were usually line one hundred watts. At the time they were only for voices, did not have a great frequency response.
As the audiences got larger. Every instrument had to be miked. Then a 2nd mixing system had to be set up for the band, because they were surrounded by amps blasting out guitar, bass, keyboards, etc. Sound travels at 600 mph.. In a very large set up that meant, more speakers were setup. The further into the audience these speakers were placed, the longer time it took to hear the sound, so sets of speakers had to have digital delays in them so some one 1000 feet from the band would hear all the speakers exactly at the same time, instead of overlapping waves of sound, turning the music in a mash of sound.
Lexicon Audio in Boston, created the first Digital delays for sound systems,

Further to my last... forgot to mention.. it was from Hessy's that I purchased my first accoustic guitar back in the late 60's.. a Yamaha FG140 (red label) I still have it and would never part with it... I can remember looking up at it hanging in line with other guitars and it being the only one I could afford... £47 if I remember correctly :-)

I still gotta say that George Martin will always be the fifth beatle when it comes to their actual discography, but who knows if The Beatles would ever have the chance to work with him if Brian didn't get them there first. I think the Beatles ultimately would have had some success without Epstein, but they would not have been the global phenomenon they came to be, maybe just that hit band that dominated 64 and faded away soon after.

2:56 - A nice dedication to Brian. However, you say that 'Brian died of an overdose' and you don't explain what substances were involved.I remember Paul saying that Brian overdosed with pills, combined with alcohol, because he was taking too much of it at the time. 'At the statutory inquest his death was officially ruled an accident, caused by a gradual buildup of Carbitral combined with alcohol in his system.[146] It was revealed that he had taken six Carbitral pills in order to sleep, which was probably normal for him, but in combination with alcohol they reduced his tolerance'. We have to admit that Pete Best was a so-so drummer and Ringo was the best drummer in Liverpool at the time. If Sutcliffe had remained in the Beatles, McCartney would not have been the bassist, and he, according to Lennon, one of the best bass players. Most of the techniques are taken from him. George Martin was the fifth Beatle. Brian was the Beatle Maker. But I guess they both could be the fifth Beatle.. But wait.. there can only be one number five, which means someone would have to be the sixth Beatle. But then it would only be right to include a seventh Beatle like Mal Evans, or even an eith Beatle, or Ninth Bea..
.. Nine... oh no... Nine? Wait what? Number Nine?? Wait a minute?? What? Four thousand holes in Blackburn Lancashire? Four thousandth Beatle? No! What?? Number Nine? The Walrus was Paul? No it was John? Which Means Paul was the actually the Walrus because John said he was even though Paul wasn't really the walrus Because Nothing Is Real, which means that 'nothing' is indeed 'real' which means the hole in Ringo's pocket could only have been fixed by Paul so the rain would stop getting in which explains all those holes in black burn because nothing is beatle proof which raises the question that if nothing is Beatle proof, than how did the holes appear? Possibly because the holes represent 'nothing' and 'nothing' is indeed real?? Wait a minute! We've already been here! Could this be the ninth time? What in the bloody hooligans is going on here?!?! Help! I need somebody! Wont you Please please me and I'll please you! The Fifth Beatle is actually Both George and Brian! I did it! I found the answer! Brian's financial incompetence was what prompted John, George, and Ringo to hire that gonif Allen Klein to re-negotiate their record contracts with EMI and Capitol. And we all know how that turned out. What hurt even more during the Beatles touring years is that Brian practically gave away rights to all the merchandise. T-shirts, cards, lunchboxes, you name it. Seriously big money.

Spot on. Practically gave away the publishing rights as well.

I gotta say, I do not think Epstein was the greatest manager.
The Beatles ever changing, eclectic, and creative studio music is what made them wildly successful.
The extremely loud/screaming concerts in the beginning made the band think more internally, and write more cerebral songs. And the Beatles were definitely contractually ripped off, I believe.

No it wasn't...in the "First US Visit" film, Brian can be clearly heard pronouncing his own name as "Ep-stine", and he should know.

Brian died of an accidental overdose from a mixture of drink with the anti-depressant Paroxetine. Being a homosexual in Britain during that time meant the possibility of prison and most certainly becoming a public pariah. This could have been the death knell for the Beatles had this information [widely known amongst many in the musical circle] been leaked to the press or the general public. As a result Brian was seized with anxiety and depression and sought help from doctors who prescribed the drug. It was instructed to not be taken with any alcohol though many did. He made this mistake and resulted in him dying. His death was also thought for years to have been suicide.
This same miscalculation of mixing wine with anti-depressant medication also caused the death of Nick Drake.
That being said I do agree with the notion that the Beatles would have survived a lot longer had Brian lived. Once they 'signed' with Allen Klein (Paul never actually signed the contract they hold in the picture announcing him as their new manager) the four of them were made to sign a binding contract to only perform together as the Beatles and to never play or perform anything solo that would impede the promotion or sales of Beatle material. This was the real killer in the band; Brian had never even had a written contract with the 'boys' (as he called them) and would never have bound them together as Klein did. This resulted in Paul having to sue to release the LP "McCartney".
It should be said that Brian always shook hands with everyone-even some folks who he thought of as distasteful and nefarious. Music is, after all, that kind of business especially rock-n-roll. He shook hands with everyone...except Allen Klein who once quipped about how lucky that 'fag' was and remarked snidely about his lack of abilities as a manger.
Apple would also have lasted a lot longer and probably would be flourishing today under the helm of Brian since he really knew more about how to manage a store and definitely how and who to delegate. Although it is possible Brian may have talked them out of this venture as well. Who knows?

When a person drugs and drinks himself to death knowingly, yes, it is a suicide. Don’t bother to argue.

It wasn't knowingly Roy. He got himself into a cycle of pills that he ended up awake most of the time. He was a constant worrier as well. And yes you are right, too much drink. All a bad combination.
