What an absolute troll of an interviewer and Brian had so much patience and control. He was the prefect catalyst of calmness and was the reason behind their success!
@@jeromehattkronen2305 He sounds like a psychopath in retrospect. But English society at that time was so very orderly, and all of a sudden you had teenagers losing their absolute minds en masse over something the adults (ie most of society, and the ones in control) didn't understand. It seemed reasonable to be concern from that perspective. What Brian's doing here is meeting that alarm with a totally reasonable, calm, and sensible face of acceptable civilized adulthood that recasts that concern as alarmist. You see, even back in the 60’s there were goading interviewers trying to trip people up, just to make the interviewer stand out as the one who exposed this or that. Alls it shows is immaturity and repetition! Well done Brian for not biting! A true gent.
I was one year old when this one done. Five years later this midwestern boy would be standing in line outside his half day kindergarten school gripping a yellow submarine lunch box containing my glass lined submarine thermos that would soon be broken.
Reporters and interviewers used to actually go after the questions. The questions may have been dumb sometimes, but that was so much better than the soft-pedaled BS you always see now, which allow public figures to push their own agendas without any real critical challenge.
Without Epstein there'd be no Beatles - he was the fifth Beatle with class, panache, business acumen and great instincts - he was born in Liverpool but his accent wasn't 'Scouse' - you might have thought he was from Knightsbridge .

Beatlemania wasn't something the Beatles or Brian set out to do. It was a happening they got caught up in. Brian handles this interviewer very well. The interviewer talks as if the Beatles are required to be examples for young people. Theyre not. They only wished to make great music and entertain.

I remember when Joanne Petersen’s book There's a Beatle in My Closet was anticipated to be published 9 March 3 2004 by Angus & Robertson. It had even been assigned an ISBN number when it disappeared, presumably in accordance with the wishes of the same person who arranged for the 2023 non-publication of Gregory Martin's recently planned biography of the intimate Beatles entanglement of his father George Martin. But even mentions of the suppressed book have been censored in comments by pro-censorship Australia media corporation ABC broadcasting. We the people are grateful to independent media
I had never heard Epstein speak before. A very nice and cogent representative, I'd say. I was kind of shocked to learn how much the Beatles were getting screwed by their Northern Songs publisher. Lennon and McCartney only owned 20 percent each of northern Songs.

So intelligent and articulate. And a very charming man.

precisely, the interviewer is weird, and paranoid
The establishment didn't like girls screaming and releasing repression...the 1950s were not a good time for them.
An amazing man. Well worth reading Debbie Geller's book about Brian. Superb account of one of the greatest managers ever.

Something about him, remind Tom Hardy.
The press or media were ao atrociously awful towards the Beatles and their manager and anyone the Beatles worked with. Ugh!

brian is the prototype to loog oldham (stones), peter grant (zep) and kit lambert (who). success is 90% being present and the other 10% was him.
I wonder the name of the man who outted him and got ostracized from the industry. Would love to see his interview
Media; "50 people were injured"
The Truth; 3 people were slightly injured. 😏
What a vile interviewer. Trying to catch Brian out but I think Brian won!
Surprised Brian kept it nice and calm questions asked by this journalist were idiotic to say the least🤔
