YES, THIS INTERVIEW, AND OTHER'S, ARE NEW TO ME, AND I AM IMPRESSED WITH HIS REPLIES TO DISSRESPECTFULL AND POINTLES QUESTIONING. HE REMAINED CALM AND CONFIDENT. WHAT A TERRIBLE LOSS HE WAS TO THE BOYS, WHICH HERALDED THE BREAK-UP OF THE BEATLES, THE CAPTAIN OF THEIR SHIP.

What an absolute troll of an interviewer and Brian had so much patience and control. He was the prefect catalyst of calmness and was the reason behind their success!

@@jeromehattkronen2305 He sounds like a psychopath in retrospect. But English society at that time was so very orderly, and all of a sudden you had teenagers losing their absolute minds en masse over something the adults (ie most of society, and the ones in control) didn't understand. It seemed reasonable to be concern from that perspective.
What Brian's doing here is meeting that alarm with a totally reasonable, calm, and sensible face of acceptable civilized adulthood that recasts that concern as alarmist. A truly invaluable service to a group of four rowdy kids belting the high energy id at an under-respected audience.

@@enteecee. Well said. I agree .. Society 60 years ago was very different and the UK at least had never seen anything like Beatlemania before, especially people over a certain age.

Just watched "Midas Man" on Brian's management of The Beatles... what a wonderful man, troubled and under enormous pressure, tragically early death, but a phenomenal man. This interviewer is ghastly, so rude, trying to get under Brian's skin, how he held it together, God only knows?!!. RIP dear Mr Epstein, thank you so much for recognising the best group that ever was ❤🙏

Brian represented them really, really well. The interviews he had to do were apparently as silly as the ones the Beatles had to do at press conferences, in their own way. The interviewer absolutely does not get the Beatles.

Duh, Brian liked them because they were obviously on much the same wavelength as himself [similarly George Martin}. Also it's on record that Brian was especialy enamoured with JL - because he respected JL as a decent person, nothin to do with homosexuality nonsense.

@@jeromehattkronen2305 Please, a lot of people close to the situation have talked about how much Brian was in love with John. And what is the homosexuality "nonsense?" Brian was gay and that's that, there's nothing nonsensical or strange about it.

You see, even back in the 60’s there were goading interviewers trying to trip people up, just to make the interviewer stand out as the one who exposed this or that. Alls it shows is immaturity and repetition! Well done Brian for not biting! A true gent.

Reporters and interviewers used to actually go after the questions. The questions may have been dumb sometimes, but that was so much better than the soft-pedaled BS you always see now, which allow public figures to push their own agendas without any real critical challenge.

Beatlemania wasn't something the Beatles or Brian set out to do. It was a happening they got caught up in. Brian talked about the Beatles make very good records, very true but most of all the Beatles music was unlike anything out at that time. It was basically revolutionary sounding which fueled Beatlemania for sure.

I remember when Joanne Petersen’s book There's a Beatle in My Closet was anticipated to be published 9 March 3 2004 by Angus & Robertson. It had even been assigned an ISBN number when it disappeared, presumably in accordance with the wishes of the same person who arranged for the 2023 non-publication of Gregory Martin's recently planned biography of the intimate Beatles entanglement of his father George Martin.
I expect that Joanne now abides by terms of a McCartney initiated Non Disclosure Agreement, she can't be expected to speak about this.
But even mentions of the suppressed book have been censored in comments by pro-censorship Australia media corporation ABC broadcasting. We the people are grateful to independent media
