  • In all honesty this car has been great for this last year. I hope it stays as reliable as she has been. It is a great car to have to put some miles and actually have a practical car.

    I know that when the battery gets disconnected or dies for a while, the window switches need to be reset and there's a procedure that needs to be done. If I remember correctly you have to go to each door and hold their window button down until it rolls down all the way and then keep holding it for another 5 seconds, and then roll them up all the way and then hold again for another 5 seconds. Not sure if that might be related to what you're experiencing. As for the memory seats, i know it only works in park, and to set it you hold the set button first and then press any of the numbered buttons at the same time.

      I didn’t know about the windows. I’ll look it to that. But my memory seats definitely don’t work

      Plus one on this there’s videos on these on UA-cam. Hold down and then hold up on each individual window switch.

    I just bought one a while ago. So far so good except for exterior cosmetic stuff which is pretty minor for me. And the cracked dashboard on the passenger side is huge but I don’t mind too cause the engine is running good.
    What really grinds my gears is just the noisy brake rubbing on my front right wheel on slow speed. :)

    • @RRofick
      @RRofick 2 роки тому +2

      You need to order and install the OEM brake shims. The brake noise will disappear!

      The car is fixed now, the seller/dealer just didn’t install the breaks properly I think. So far the car runs smooth as it should be. :)

    I will be brief in my opinion, I have a luxury president 250 like the one in the video, things against it (the dashboard and parts of the upholstery are a disaster, the electric except my seat with memory, everything works perfectly, just a change of fuses or The computer does not solve it, because the car likes to go a little high and consumes oil, but with its daily checks and maintenance it is enough, obviously if you drive in the city on the highway the consumption is acceptable. Otherwise, power, behavior, sensations, braking , suspension and response seem perfect to me... on the road overtaking you are safe, in space unless you travel with people over 1.80cm they are perfect for traveling... greetings, good video! you will enjoy it a lot I'm sure…

    I got an '08 as my first car and the AC compressor failed while I was on the highway and killed the engine completely. I thought that I blew the motor but I guess it cannot run without the AC compressor since everything is on the same belt. Other than that it's been great

    We have a 08 is250. I don’t like it at all. No power, poor interior materials, too much road noise for a Lex and the paint just started peeling on the doors which I have seen on others like it.
    We had two GS300s loved them both. No complaints

    • @NavsGarage
      @NavsGarage  Рік тому +1

      Yah i think the 350 is much more appealing with the extra power. They dropped the ball on the interior trim. As far as road noise maybe I’m sure to my mustang and Miata but it’s fairly quiet.

    If you're only getting 24-25 mpg in a is250, either something is wrong with it, or you just have a heavy foot. I get the same millage in my is350 with stop and go traffic and mountain driving.

      Most IS ownership experiences are trouble free idk whats going on with this one but I’ve known multiple people that have had one and had no complaints and after my girlfriends Honda blew up, I actually had her buy an 11 IS herself and she has 145k miles on it now and it’s had 0 issues. I actually may buy one for myself soon, they’re good cars, one recommendation I’d say though is stick to 09+ if you’re looking for problem free IS. The 06 to 08s had interior problems and were more prone to quirky issues where 95% of issues were fixed for 09 +, that’s why the 09s and newer are typically more expensive
