I've got a is200d F-Sport. Bought it with the mindset "it'l do" at the time, straight away it became the best car I've owned.
I have an is250 fsport 2010 and it's mint. These cars are amazing

Just bought one. Only had it for 3 days so cant say anything about reliability but so far I've been so stoked and would recommend it. Hopefully nothing goes wrong though haha. Good luck mate.
Got a 2007 with 43k on it. I've owned it for only about 8k of those. Nothing at all has even hinted at going wrong. Shouldn't do at this mileage, maybe, but at the same time it's 15 years old, typically you see some minor gremlins or plastics/rubbers perishing.
However I do think the wheels might only last a few more years. Light bubbling on one wheel which is known on these.
Looking to change my 2007 is250 this year.
Almost scared to, as it's been the best car ever.
Very luxurious and nothing ever goes wrong.
Going to be boring and stick with Lexus. Just can't fault them.
What are you planning on switching to? I consider switching out of my 09 sometimes, but nothing else in the price range really catches my eye as being worth it.

Why every is250 owner complains about power? I mean, is it really that bad at pulling?
I mean, I owned a 2.0T Astra coupe for about 3 years and it was pretty much a monster for that size.
When I look at is250s (the car I want to switch up to), it is so damn slow, almost look like a downgrade in terms of torque lol

@@aldop8305 ik I’m late, but 155k miles ain’t too hot. It’s not the best mileage, however I’d spend only 4k or least thousand less than asking price. Also get a mechanic to have it inspected to make sure all is well with the car.

I have a 58 Is 250 SE I do a lot of milage for work and these cars are great for it and so comfortable
In Ireland They’re becoming more and more popular along side the is200 which has been popular for many years in Ireland.

Used IS350 and GS350 are two of the best budget luxury sport car you can get these days IMO and they run forever. Yeah its a bit more expensive than a 250 but A LOT quicker and similar fuel consumption (believe it or not). The 250 is a little slow because these cars are pretty heavy. 250 still great alternative if you can't afford a 350 or if you don't care so much about the speed and just want a reliable, cheap luxury car.
The 350's never made it to the UK, which is a real shame. Never got 4wd versions either.
The 250 is a go-to in Eastern Europe as well,since for a 2.5 l engine you pay around €250 tax per year,where as for the 350 with the 3.5 l is around €1250,and the average salary is around €600-800 per month.😅These figures are for Romania,but it doesn't vary that much around this part of Europe sadly.
I was worried about the gas mileage but is it really similar cause if it is ill most likely get a is350

Got to admit I haven’t watched one of your reviews for ages. Anyway good review, can’t beat a Lexus for value for money and reliability. I do wish that Lexus sold the IS350 here in the U.K.

I'm on my second IS250, current one is top spec SE-L with the screen and love it. You can get them for 2 grand any day. Also if you get an 05 or 06 you won't be paying much tax

@@Don_Amo Nope, 97k miles but needed an exhaust patch and thats it.
We have an IS220d, not a car I would have really chosen but I came across it so cheap that I couldn't not buy it and its been one of a best cars I've had, not as quick as a 250 but equally a nice daily and comfortable car with a lot of cool stuff inside.

If they were the weight of the is200 they would be quick. 208bhp is really good from 2.5 v6.
Bought one today. 2007 70k mileage. Lexus service history stamps throughout. Couldn't find one for £3k as everyone is mentioning

Switchgear... Many of those switches look exactly the same as in my 2006 Yaris 1.0.
Been looking at getting a Mk3 GS300, or an Ls430, never really considered one of these until now
The GS300 and LS430 are more luxury cars and dont really have great handling, the IS is rather nice round corners, it's relatively comfy for a sports sedan but it depends on if you want a more comfortable car or more of a drivers car.
@@altspitfire that's the thing I'm not too fussed about handling anymore, I live 8 miles away from work and I usually just go down one junction on the motorway to get there, got the Mrs car for everything else, nothing I've had handling wise has ever compared to my old ep3

Had mine 2 years now. 2007 se-l petrol automatic (auto is half the price to tax) I was luckily to find one with every optional extra from factory (minus the sunroof) Hands down best car I've ever owned...stuggaling to find something to upgrade to at the end of the year. For the money and kit on board I cant think of anything that comes close

I'm not a big fan of the wheels and gearstick but the grill and steering wheel looks well actually. Quite hard to find wheels that look good on these for some reason, best off respraying the originals for a change.
