pro tip, change trunk "hidraulic lifts" easy process you just need a little googling which ones fits in there, and when you press the button, it will open the trunk for you.
Also if you have the mark Levinson sound system, it can sometimes cut audio after a couple hours or on a long journey if the volume is too loud. The amp in the trunk overheats.
The blend door you’re not supposed to force open… when you are going to replace the filter, you click the recirculating button and it will open the door and give you access to the filter. I’ve replaced mine 2 times and I have a 2008 and mine works perfectly
it isn’t that bad, because the is250 has some few cool feature, one, the seat air conditioner, you can set it to hot, or cold, two, fancier bodykit, bodykits like from a newer lexus, it was really good for my dads car.
I've had 3 sedans with folding rear seats and never used that feature. Hatchbacks are a different story since they usually have less space in the back with the seats up.
This is what I drive, and I absolutely love it. I was having trouble with the loud noise from the cabin air filter area, so I removed the filter and threw it away. That was more than a year ago, and the noise is gone. Changed the hood and trunk struts... now works great.
I do think it’s funny this was done last year and it’s a 2007… like. Cmon. Wow. Honestly I’ve seen a lot of videos on the is, and these long term problems are so small.. bravo Lexus.
Fellow 250 owner from Ireland here, I agree with everything you say here. Another thing I hate is, when you shut the car off in park, you have to press the button again to get the radio to come on. The system shuts down and steering wheel retracts.
i have an imported RHD 08 is250 - and the sticky dash is horrendous, tried a few options to fix it with dash kits etc. Sorta helped sorta didn't since it's shiny now. So I ended up buying a dash cover to resolve the glare and the sticky dash. Sorta like a Band-Aid fix but there's nothing much I can do unless i swap it since cleaning it removed the coating and makes it all rubbery and kind of nasty... Oh yea the seats not going down kinda sucks but its a nice change from daily a modified 05 is300 that was kinda quick and great at corners.
Vancouver. I’ve been there before. It’s a lovely city I need to go again. But the things you dislike about your IS250 I agree with. I also made a video like this and my list is very very similar to your choices.
idk, i don't think is too slow, for a 210hp you have to switch it to power and sport and then you're going to see it's speed and power, it's a little small the car indeed, but fun to drive and comfy too

come on, this car is made specially to be small, this is because of class of car like a BMW series 3 or Mercedes C-class so if you hate "small space" in this car just buy Lexus GS. Size of this car is not a problem of this car

I have a 2013 IS250. The only thing I don’t like is the rear seats don’t lay down. Otherwise, I still like my car.

Rear seats don't go down on my 2007 Audi A4 either.
I think the reason is they put a beam across the rear seat back to stiffen the body/chassis.

You can just shut off the car in neutral and then move it to park. This will keep the multimedia working.

Good info concerning cabin air filter. Otherwise if you want to haul something, get a truck. If you need acceleration, is350 f is for you.

I have one in the same colour. The thing I hate is the lock sensor. There were a couple of times when I couldn't lock it.
