I didn't know the Italy towels had different colors for different roughness. I bought the long towels, so I could do my back. I'm using it like washcloth though. I put liquid body wash on it and scrub myself. I'm going to buy the mitts like you have in blue or yellow for myself and boyfriend. Thank you for correctly informing me how to use the Italy towels.
@@mein40 I don't live in Canada, so all I can buy are the Japanese towels (The long ones. No mitts.) that ship to the the United States. They don't have different textures. They say they do, but there is not much difference at all. I'm disappointed.
You can use it on your face as well but only if you’ve got dry skin there as well. Be gentle of course and use it maybe once or twice a month. Did it a few days ago and see such a difference😀the only reason why I did is all other products did give me as quick of results. I’ve used aha scrubs and did nothing and dermaplaning(ok results). I’m only speaking for those that have the same skin type as I do.
Every time I dont use a glove on my face I get clogged pores and acne. But when i use it once or twice a week it feels the best, and ive been doing it for years. Its best not to overuse it though but I couldn’t go without it at all
Hello @ Red Pepper, I worry about it being too harsh on your face because the skin on our faces are usually more delicate. But if you are comfortable, then that is what matters. Try chemical exfoliators like AHA, BHA rather than physical and see if it helps with clogged pores. Also avoiding alcohol in the products should help as well!
Yes! The key is to soak your skin until your fingers look pruney. If you are okay with a warm bath, that works best. Otherwise, take a shower, wash your face, then hair, and then try exfoliating with the Korean Italy towel at the last step.
Hi @jessy44 - Yes! You can definitely wash it after using with water or antibacterial soap. Drying it in the sun also eliminates bacteria. You will find that the texture stays even after multiple uses and still works for exfoliation. Once you feel the texture has changed (not as abrasive), then it would be time to replace. Best practice is once a month if you are using it every other day and once every 2-3 months if using it weekly. Hope that helps!
Hello fitt, yes, taking a bath or extended showers both help. As long as the skin is nicely soaked (wrinkly fingertips). This makes exfoliation easier. All the best and let us know how it goes!
Hi Tiana! Not everyday. For my skin (and most people), once every 3 days should be fine. But see how your skin responds. If really dry and itchy then you may want to use more frequently when you first start and then less with time. 💕
Hello @divinita azteca! Thank you so much for watching. Yes for sure! A nice aloe Vera (in the summer) or Shea butter (in the colder weather) will be beneficial. If you have sensitive skin, try to stick with something with very minimal ingredients like pure aloe or something with tea tree oil. Hope your skin feels nice!
Hi @Marianne L! Thanks for watching. Great question, and for the face, I prefer chemical exfoliants which are more gentle compared to physical scrubs. Here is one of my favourite videos on face exfoliation: ua-cam.com/video/5kOoT3yOuKg/v-deo.html
get rid of the fruity overlaid music lol. i watched ur other video about dull skin and you endorse AHAs which are very damaging to ethnic dark skin, which you dont have. physical exfoliation is great for permatans, which most ethnic people have. please keep all this in mind.
Thank you @Dark Samus for watching and commenting. I’ll look into AHA in more detail because I have had darker skin clients tell me how well the cos RX Aha and Beautycounter overnight resurfacing peel works for them.
I think the reason we’re all confused is because of generalisations. AHAs include glycolic, mandelic, lactic, citric, tartaric, malic. Original comment is definitely right if we’re talking about glycolic acid on melanated skin. However, mandelic acid is the most gentle and usually recommended as a safe alternative. I don’t tolerate glycolic acid as it causes hyperpigmentation but lactic and mandelic both work really well for me.
The Korean Italy towel is some what of a sham. First and foremost there's no such thing as Korean Italy towels unless the person that produces the towel is half Korean and half Italian, are you? The reason why they say that you need to be in the shower for about 15 minutes before using the towel is because when you are in the bathroom and hot steam is accumulating what happens is that steam allows the dead skin cells, dirt, oils to be released from your skin. After this happens you could easily take a regular washcloth or even a paper towel and start rubbing it up against your damp skin and you will see those little rolls of dirt fall off. It is no different from when you are soaking in the bathtub and you begin to scrub your skin and see those rolls of dirt fall off. It is the steam and warmth of the heat that causes your skin to release this dirt, dead skin, and oil. if you watch other UA-cam videos and you see that people who don't stand in the shower for 15 to 20 minutes they usually don't see the same effects as those that do. You can try this yourself stand in a hot to warm shower for 15 to 20 minutes turn the water off and then begin to rub your fingers across your skin you'll see those same curls of dirt fall off. now I'm not saying you can't use this towel or any towel for that matter as a method of exfoliating, you can! But you don't have to go out of your way to order this particular one. You could use an African net sponge, any exfoliating towel found on Amazon, or even an Eco Tools exfoliating towel sold at Target, or just a plain dry wash cloth. All of these will work is a similar way if you allow your skin to be in the steam for 15 to 20 minutes before you begin washing. The reason why this is all over tiktok is because most young people nowadays don't take long soaking baths they just take showers. If you grew up in a time when you would take a bath at least once a week you know that sitting in a hot tub of water or even a warm tub of water will loosen your skin up enough to where you can start rubbing it back and forth and you will see all those little rolls of dirt that look so disgusting on tiktok fall off in your bath water.
Hi @lovely night. I appreciate you taking the time to watch my video and write a lengthy comment. I agree that you can use any towel to exfoliate. I love the Korean Italy towel for many reasons, but mostly because I feel gratitude towards a simple item that was made in South Korea - my home country.
This is not true. I take 30-45 minutes showers, and no typical washcloth or luffa will get the same results. Use an italy towel on one leg and then a washcloth on the other. Feel them after the shower and then come back. Also, Italy towels are made out of viscose, a material that has originated in Italy but started to be used as an exfoliating tool in Korea.

Hello, how do you wash the towels after use?
Hello! Great question. I wash mine using soap and I hang dry. In the sun is best to avoid bacteria growth.
Is it just me, or does anyone else think Jason looks like an asian Ryan Reynolds?
I haven't thought that, but I am such a BIG fan of Ryan Reynolds!! lol. Thanks for bringing a laugh to my day!
Hey there! Thanks for your video. I have the cloths but I'm not getting the 'dead skin rolling off' effect. Any advice?
